Kanan's POV

As i open the door, i see kavya.
She too looks at me.
I stare at her, our eye locks and it feels magical.
Though she is not smiling but still it triggers a lot of emotions in me.

I head towards her, step by step still mesmerised with her beauty.
It feels as if i am dreaming but its truth.

"Kanan?", kavya asks

I nod slightly, still looking at her

"Dr. Kanan, right?", kavya asks slowly

"Yeah, he is Dr. Kanan, who has brought you back to life. Its just because of him that today you got a new life", Dr. Pratap replies while kavya nods

Why is she acting all wierd ?

"Thank doctor kanan, dad was telling me how all of them lost hope, and they had not got a chance to meet you...so thank you so much!..by the way why were you not meeting my parents?", kavya asks

I look at her confused while kavya's family too look at kavya a bit confused.
A large amount of negetive thoughts run through my mind , i gulp them and decide to ask that one question that will clear all my doubts.

Simi looks at me stunned, unable to speak anything.

I gather courage and ask.

"Kavya, don't you know who am i?", i ask

"You are my  doctor", kavya replies

"Kavya what month and year it is?", simi asks

"Ummm....its july 2013", kavya replies

And here it goes. Kavya has lost her memory.
Tears swell up my eyes, everything, every hope shatters.

All of us look at kavya but nobody speaks anythinh. Kavya looks at us confused

"Did i speak anything wrong?", she asks

"Umm...no absolutely not", Dr. Pratap speaks and asks me to meet him outside.

I start to leave the room, suddenly simi stops me ....as i turn towards her, she slaps me hard.

"I hate you kanan!!...i really hate you!!!...see what you guys did! First my sister was in coma for 2 years!!!... And now she does not remember a year of her life!!!...are you happy now???!??", simi screams while crying terribly

"Simi, for god sake leave me alone!!!!...please!!!...you just have no damn idea what i am going through right now!!!...atleast she knows you!!!...but for me??...she does not remember me, she forgot me!!!!", i shout at her

With that i rush towards my cabin.
Angrily i start to smash my mirror, the glass pieces shatters, one piece pierce's right into my palm.

Suddenly vinnie runs to my rescue.
She brings cotton near my palm but i stop her.

"Vinnie, please leave me alone!..please!..just leave!!", i speak while vinnie nods slowly and leaves.

Kavya why are you so stubborn?
First you did not wake up for 2 years long and now you forgot me?
Why always me???
Why??

Suddenly i see Dr. Pratap standing next to me.
He looks quite angry and i know why he is that way.
Its because i lied and did not tell him my real reason of treating kavya.

"Kanan, kavya is suffering from retro amnesia", he speaks

"Hmm", i nod

"She had lost a part of her memory due to injury in her temporal and cerebellum.... Most probably she may never regain her memory....", dr. Pratap speaks

"Yes doctor", i reply still trying to cope up with tears.

"Kanan, why did you lie?", he asks

"If i would have told you about me and kavya, who would never permit me treating her", i answer

"Kanan, for what you did, and the way you lied, i will have to remove you as my intern!", Dr. Pratap speaks

"But sir", i try to speak

"Sorry kanan, but i cant help it, but as you have brought kavya back to life for that you will be given another internship", he speaks

"Under whom?", i ask

"Well, under Dr. Smith, he is working at Austro Hospital, located in London, i will transfer you there", he speaks while i simply nod.

"Sorry doctor", i reply while nods and replies, "kanan, i understand your pain but sorry , i am head of this hospital and there are few rules to follow", Dr. Pratap

"Ok doctor", i reply

"Kanan, i suggest you to leave today itself.  Best luck for your future!", Dr. Pratap speaks while i simply nod

I head towards my home, ignoring all my thoughts. All these events has made me numb and it feels i can just feel nothing.

After packing my bags, i start to call the cab for the airport, thats when my bell rings.

As i open the door, i find vinnie on the door.

"What are you doing here?", i ask annoyed

"You are going?", vinnie asks sadly

"Yeah!..thanks to your dad", i mock her

"Wont you meet kavya once before leaving?", she requests

"Who is kavya?!..i dont know any girl by that name!", i scream.

"Kanan!..please just once!", vinnie begs and drags me to the hospital.

As i reach the door of kavya's room, i hear giggles. Maybe all the sisters having some girly talk.

"Dr. Kanan, why are standing at the door?", kavya asks

"Umm...i just came to inform that you will be discharged soon. Best luck for your future", i speak trying to control my anger

"Thank you doctor. I always be grateful to you!", she replies in her sweet voice

I start to leave and it feels as if my heart is being ripped apart.
Not able to handle all the pain at once, i turn back.

"Kavya", i speak while she looks at me with her sparkling eyes

"Yes doctor?", she asks politely

"Kuch nahi bas yuhi (nothing just like that)", i reply and then head towards the airport.
