Kanan's POV

My day starts with taking charge of my three patients Amar, Pranjal and kavya.

Its 3 in the evening when Pranjal and Amar's regular test is completed i directly head towards kavya's room without even having lunch

The deep urge to see her face, feel her presence, the deep urge to hold her hand and hug her tightly had been killing me whole day and i was getting desperate every passing second.

I just have a month time with me after that i might just loose her forever and that also infront of my eyes.
The inbearable pain of loosing her make me shiver and i shrug my negetive thoughts aside.

I open the door no. 18 and get inside the door, there i see my beautiful kavya, in between tonnes of wires, tubes and machines.

I have a lot to do.
I have to invest all of my medical knowledge and get kavya back to life somehow.

"Nurse, sent me all her reports of 2 years. I want to see all of it
From the first file upto the last.
Make sure no file is missing.", i demand while the nurse nods silently heading out of the room.

Kavya is sleeping peacefully, unaware of the dreadful world outside.
I cant wait for her to open her eyes.

Within few minutes the nurse bring the files. It pile full of folders , all of kavya's report.
They will help me figure out kavya's true condition.

I open the first file. Its dated 12th april 2014. Its a week after ayaan bhai and nidhi didi's marriage broke.

Report reads," Deep injury in the brain region. Skull partially broken. The cerebellum and Temporal lobe seems to be effect as per injury location.

Other than the joint of left hand broken and the knee cap of left leg broken."

I shiver at the thought of the pain that kavya must have endured. But how and why did kavya suffer such a accident?

The second report is dated 15th April, 2014.

The report reads, "patient has reached a stage of brain paralysis (coma). The functioning of brain has been severely hampered."

A deep pain endures in my heart. Its been two year since Kavya is in coma.
2 years?

Suddenly i hear a knock at the door. I get scared, has somebody from kavya's family decided to come in?
What am i suppose to do now?

Suddenly i cover my face with a white towel and then speak in a thick voice , "Come in!".

"Hey k!", Its vinnie, i smile at her while she does not look very happy.

"Umm...Hi kavya, this is vinnie!..you are very pretty!", she speaks softly while clinging close to kavya

"V she is in coma!", i speak

"I know K, but dad tells coma patients can hear things!", she replies

"Yeah they can....By the way why you are here?", i ask

"Because you are a crack person!!
.....kavya see your Kanan has not yet eaten food...its 3 in the evening!...", vinnie complains

"But vinnie", vinnie drags me out of the room forcefully.

Vinnie making me sit inside near her and hands me a tiffin box.
Inside there is Laccha paratha and Paneer ki sabji.

I smile at her while she returns my smile.

I start to eat while vinnie taps on my shoulder. I look at her, "what?".

"What are these files for?", she asks curiously

"Well, all of kavya's report since 2 years", i tell her.

"Ok...so you got something?", she asks curiously

"Not much, but she has severe head injury, and the first report dates 12th april 2014, a week after the marriage of my brother ayaan and her sister nidhi broke", i reply

"OK...and?", she asks

"V, i dont understand why and how  kavya got into ths condition...i mean how did her brain got so badly injured and why did the happen..because kavya won't suicide just because her sister's wedding got cancelled due to her...but then what could have happened?", i speak while vinnie nods understanding

"K, i will try to get information about her accident from her family and my father....and dont worry i will not let her family know that you are her doctor", vinnie assures me while i smile at her.

"So what is your plan?", she asks

"Well, first i will read all her reports and then decide anything, even though i have been given a month time by your father i cant hurry things and cant risk her life....", i reply

"Ok K!...and i will try to extend the time given to you by my dad...", she replies

"V, kavya will be alright?", i ask with tears in my eyes

"K!...dont cry dear!!...kavya is meant to be your forever and i am very positive that she will be alright as soon as possible. So dont be tensed and never lose hope!", V assures me.

"Hmm..", i nod and with that my food is finished.

I then hug vinnie, she has become my support system and without her help i could have never got a chance to save kavya.
V is that sister or best friend  i never had.

I then wash my hands and head towards kavya's room to go through files again.
Now what ever happens i am not gonna lose hope and try my 200%.
