They often ask you what you are.

The hope for such delightful things,

As holy lights with angels wings.

Sparkle sparkle tiny beam,

I know that you're not what you seem.

Your light's a lie just to hide it all,

Like every other celestial ball.

Shimmer shimmer, glorified blip,

 Lest I let your identity slip.

You're a trickster, a fraud, and you've lied to long.

It's time to end your tragic song.

Waver waver, little ball,

I don't know why you lied at all.

You soldier on in eternal dark,

Your misery hidden by your joyful spark.

sparkle sparkle tiny light.

You are the guardian of the night.

 You see the horrors of or dreams,

You see us die, you hear our screams.

Shine, shine, desperate sun,

To protect us when the day us done.

Your splendour serves you as a mask,

To hide the anguish of your task.

Twinkle twinkle, little star,

Seeing our sins has left a scar.

 I thought you to be cold, and unforgiving,

But now I see you make life worth living.
