My phone pinged.

I checked the message and got to know I have got the salary for two weeks. I thought after a month of my completion I will get but they have taken count of month end for every employee.

It's good that I have some money now, as I was just having Rs.1,500 in my account before, all thanks to my dad.  Now it's Rs. 60,000. But I am feeling really happy as I have earned because of my hard work.

K " where r u lost?"

I looked at her.

God!

How come she gets prettier day by day?

Now she can walk properly but I still see her in pain sometimes.

A " msg regarding salary"

K " OK... I actually forgot to tell u that I will come to flat late so don't wait for me today"

I stopped having parata and looked at her.

Did that Ajay guy asked her for dinner again?

I gritted my teeth and raised my eyebrows.

K " we are getting late, eat fastly"

Where is she going?

Office parking....

I parked my bike and even she got down smoothly. I miss those days where I used to help her getting down.

She got a call and her face brightened immediately.

I very rarely see her getting calls from anyone except Akash. I don't know anything about her family.

Who is calling her?

K " I have not forgotten, how can I? I will surely come today"

Shall I ask her, where is she going?

K " y r u standing here only?"

She pulled my hand and we both entered office together.

Many heads turned towards us, they all smiled at Kushi who returned their smile with her excited pearls.

She was moving to her cabin while I called her.

A " hmm.... Kushi, I... "

She raised her eyebrows.

A " I wanted to know where are y-"

Kushi someone called.

Doesn't he have any work in the morning?

Abhi " Kushi, how r u now? "

She started to speak with him while I entered my cabin.

He is acting little weird today.

K " R u fine? "

He just nodded.

K " why r u not having lunch? "

A " I am not hungry"

K " is there any problem? "

A "  what the? "

K " calm down laadgovernor "

He glared me while I showed him my pearls.

A " hmm... Actually that day when I went to Akash's place, uncle invited us for dinner this week "

I have to meet uncle, so many days got over.

K " yeah, we will go tomorrow then"

He cleared his throat

A " y can't we go tonight? "

K " I told know this morning I have some other work "

I smiled at him.

Shall I tell him?

A " fine then. "

He got up without having lunch.

I was about to call him.

A " I am not hungry so I will eat later "

He took the box and went out.

What's wrong with him?

Why is she not telling me?

Why is she maintaining the secret?

Am I no one to her?

For god sake, I care about her!

I don't know about love and all but I know for sure she means more to me.

I looked at the file and went to Akash's cabin to tell him about updates.

Ak " get inside Arnav "

He said sarcastically as I was already inside without knocking!

We started to talk about that tender when we heard a knock.

Ak " Kushi, u r still here? I thought u already went "

He also knows!

WHERE IS SHE GOING????

K " ha sir, that's why I came here to let u know I will be leaving now"

Ak " how r u going? I mean u came with Arnav right? I will tell my driver to drop u there"

K " No sir, not needed "

Ak " Kushi, I am ur bhai na? Can't u just agree with me for once? "

He said dramatically.

Ar " actually I have completed my today's work, it's better I go with Kushi so that we can together go to our flat later "

K " Arnav, no need for that. I can very well get a taxi "

A " y r u going alone? "

She stared at me for sometime as if she is trying to solve why is this guy acting so clingy today?

Ak " I think he is right Kushi, if I was free I would have accompanied u. As Arnav is free he can accompany u then"

Awwww my enemy is helping me.

She just reluctantly nodded.

As soon as she went outside he burst out laughing.

Ak " ohoo, something is happening here "

I raised my eyebrows.

Ak " my office is becoming a lovers spot and I am becoming a cupid "

He again chuckled while I glared him.

Ak " seriously I never thought the great ASR will fall in love"

Love?

A " why did u agree for me to go with her? "

He sighed.

Ak " the main reason why u r here because ur father wants u to learn about life and living. My father chose Kushi to guide u because she has seen a lot in life. So why will I stop u from looking about living"

I understood him but not completely though.

I stood up to go while he again called me.

Ak " good luck for ur love story ASR"

After parking, I silently followed her.

As I got the address and place name my heart started to beat faster as I came to know why she doesn't talk about her parents.

Shanthi Orphanage

I didn't ask her or questioned her. There is so much to ask her and I know she will tell me when she feels to open up.

She entered inside with a big smile and I don't know from where all the kids came but they surrounded her like bees surrounds honey.

Suddenly I felt the area became crowded but I felt peace. I used to go to clubs and all but I never felt happiness like this.

Everywhere laughter, I felt as if Kushi is spreading her brightness to everyone.

U r a puzzle to me Kushi.

She started giving chocolates to everyone, when did she get those?

A boy stood next to me while I raised my eyebrows.

I don't know how to start conversation with kids!

Boy " why r u staring chocolates like that? Do u need one? "

Another boy stood next to him.

Ar " what if I need one? Will u give me urs? "

I know no one likes to share, come on I won't share anything with anyone even if it's a chocolate. And these are kids so they won't share.

But my mind reminded me that I shared food with Kushi. That's a different case right?

Boy " obviously I will share, Kushi Di always says we should share and care for others"

I gulped and looked at Kushi again.

He was about to give me chocolate but I put that inside his mouth and patted his cheeks while he gave me his beautiful smile.

My lips curved up automatically.

Boy2 " who r u? R u our Di's friend? "

I nodded again.

Kushi came towards me and pulled me inside the hall.

All kids started jumping, one even hit me also while I just chuckled.

K " Arnav, meet the orphanage head Shanti ma"

She was quite old woman, my dadi's age.

I just nodded at her while Kushi side hugged her.

K " Shanti ma, I went to ur room u were not there"

Old lady just smiled at Kushi and caressed her head.

I don't know how 4hrs I spent just looking at the kids and Kushi. I didn't mingle with them just stared at them. It felt peaceful.

I saw that old lady coming towards me.

Sh " why don't u join them? "

I gulped.

A " I... I am not good with kids "

I am not sure but still.

She laughed.

Sh " if u not try u won't get to know "

She took a deep breathe.

Sh " every month on this day Kushi comes here and spends her day with us. But she never brought anyone here except Akash. If she let u come here then she trusts u with her life"

I stared her expecting her to continue.

Sh " so who r u? U r from which place? "

I wanted to know about Kushi more.

She again chuckled.

Sh " I have crossed ur age, u want to know about Kushi right? "

I nodded slowly.

Sh " before that I want to know about u, so I can trust u "

She was dead serious.

A " I am Arnav Si-- Arnav from Delhi. I came here in search of job and joined Kushi's company. As I am new here and as the boss know me personally they have let me to stay with Kushi in her flat "

I have left the information about my background and just explained to her in bits and pieces.

She was quiet for sometime. May be thinking whether to trust me or not.

Sh " Kushi, she is really a wonderful child. She was just three when she joined this orphanage, from then to till here she had been like a grand child to me. Never complained like other kids. Always try to help others. Devimayya, has always there been with her. During her college days she moved from here to the flat offered by the company. Every month she pays almost all her salary to us. We get amount from donations also but she still continues to pay. We are her only family and she will always remain as my grand child."

I felt proud of her.

I never knew sharing will bring this much happiness even if it's sharing a small chocolate or salary or even someone's life story. 

Ar " umm... I am sure u would have tried to know about her parents right? I mean how did u get her enrolled here?Kushi knows about her parents??"

I don't think so Kushi knows.

She smiled faintly.

Sh " she used to ask about her parents until she turned 6 later she didn't ask because she believed in her Devimayya"

I sighed.

Sh " but I know about her parents "

What the??

I turned towards her.

A " u know who are her parents yet u haven't told her?"

She just nodded.

A " who r they? "

My heart beat fastened anxiously waiting for her reply.

Old lady looked at me and opened her mouth while I looked at Kushi who was laughing, I am getting to know an important piece of this beautiful puzzle.
