6: Who's Your Bias?
“Would you like to tell me why the hell you yelled at Kim Myungsoo of Infinite in front of their thousands of fans?!!!!” Emmi screeched on my ear, and I winced.
“Remember when I told you I was almost hit by a van, but then I survived and only got this?” I raised my bandaged hand and she nodded. “Well, the owner, or should I say owners of that van, was Infinite.”
Emmi just blinked at me. “Yuan, this is not the right time to joke. You know I don’t like jokes when I’m mad.”
“No, I’m serious! It was them who brought me here, them who offered to treat my hand, and them who owned the van that almost killed me!”
Once again, Emmi stared at me with scary eyes. “Okay. If what I’m saying isn’t true, then why would Sunggyeol write this?” I raised my bandaged hand once again, and placed the signed part in front of her face. It said:
Yuan-sshi!! We’re really sorry for hurting your hand :3 ! Be a happy Inspirit, annyeong!! ~♥~
“You didn’t fake that, right?” Emmi asked in monotone.
“Of course not,” I rolled my eyes, and she was silent for a few seconds.

“OH MY GOD YUAN YOU’RE THE LUCKIEST GIRL ON EARTH!!!!” she squealed and hugged me.
“Before you spazz there, let me finish my explanation. I yelled at that Myungsoo because he was that rude man in the shop that paid us 10$, and the immature man with him was Sungjong.”
“What?” her eyes turned as big as saucers.
“Yeah, you heard me right.” I crossed my arms and watched her dumbfounded reaction. Then it changed into a scary scowl.
“Even though he’s a celebrity and a member of my favorite band, I still can’t forgive him for that.”
Yep, that’s the Emmi I know. Business first before fan-girling.
“Arghh I can’t believe my bias is actually a jerk!! I’m switching to Sunggyu now.” Her eyes were cold and glaring at anything they landed on. Suddenly, her stomach growled, which really ruined her image at that moment.
“Aish stupid stomach!!!” Emmi glared down at her belly, and I tried my best not to laugh. “Let’s just talk about this later. For now let’s grab something to eat because it’s like, 11:00 in the afternoon already.” She grabbed my arm and dragged me around the mall, until we reached a certain place called Bubble Tea. She ordered food for both of us without even asking for my opinion. I guess she’s in a really bad mood.
Almost all of the tables there were taken, and when we were about to go back to the counter to ask for assistance, someone called my name.
“Yuan-sshi!”
Oh no. Please don’t let it be them.
We turned around and saw a weirdly dressed man waving at us. Oh, here come the memories.
“Yuan-sshi, you’re looking for a table, right? We still have 2 more over here!” I recognized it as Sungjong’s voice, and Emmi looked at me.
“Is that them?”
I nodded, “Yep.”
“Are we going to share tables with them?”
“I don’t think we have a choice,” I shrugged. We cautiously walked over to their table, and before knowing it, we were squeezed between 7 weird men.
“Hi,” the one beside me greeted, probably Sunggyeol. The other one on my right was groaning and mumbling curses, so I’m definitely sure it’s Myungsoo. Emmi was in an awkward position, and was trying her best not to touch either the two beside her.
“Why are you dressed like that?” I bluntly asked. The man on Emmi’s left, who now I recognize as Sunggyu, leaned towards me and whispered.
“It’s disguise. We have to blend in with the others so we could walk around peacefully, without girls pouncing on us every now and then.”
“But haven’t you realized that you’re actually pulling more attention by the way you dress? Seriously, no normal person would wear jackets, masks, shades, or caps inside a warm and cozy building.”
They looked at each other for a long time. “She’s got a point.” Sunggyeol nodded.
“Well, it’s better than getting squashed by fan-girls, right?” Sunggyu reasoned.
“Who’s this with you?” Howon suddenly asked. Oh yes, I forgot to introduce Emmi.
“She’s my friend, Seol Emmi. A big fan of Infinite.”
“Jinjja?” the boys said together.
“Who is your favorite member?” Sungjong asked. I slightly leaned forward, curious if she would answer Myungsoo, or change it to her latest bias, Sunggyu.
“Um, well…” Emmi fidgeted in her seat because of the stares the boys were giving her. “I like Sunggyu-sshi the most.”
“Kyaaaaaa!” Sunggyu squealed like a kid and hugged her. I chuckled at her surprised face. “I knew it, I’m the best!”
“It’s unfair hyung,” Sungjong pouted. “I never get picked!”
“Me too,” Sunggyeol second the motion.
“Why didn’t you pick me? I’m like, the most handsome among us.” Myungsoo asked playfully, and Emmi’s eyes quickly turned dark.
“Because you’re a jerk.” She spat out. The group immediately silenced and the aura turned dark. Even Myungsoo was surprised.
“What? Oh, did your friend over here brainwash you? She’s pretty good at it, really.” Oh, look at the nerve of this guy. Makes you wanna throw him into a septic tank.
“I was the owner of that coffee shop you bastard.” I heard the boys gulp. I know how they felt, Emmi’s really scary. “I just want you to know that we don’t need your dollars.”
Emmi leaned towards him, with those scary black eyes never leaving his. “And I’m also planning on burning you alive if you set foot in my shop again.”
“Ooooooh……” The playful boys, Sungjong, Sunggyeol, and Dongwoo said. I was thankful they did that because it lessened the scary aura in the air.
“Looks like girls are starting to hate Myung~~” Sunggyeol sang while waving his hand in the air. Sungjong joined him and soon they look like a monkey duo.
“How about Yuan-sshi? Who do you like the most?” Damn you Dongwoo. Why did you have to ask that?
“We’ll, I don’t really know all of you…” I mumbled.
“It’s okay. Just base your answer on what you found out this day!” Sungjong, Sunggu, Sunggyeol, Dongwoo, and Howon started making aegyo faces, while Woohyun and Myungsoo kept their straight faces.
“I’m sure it’s not Myungsoo-hyung.” Sungjong muttered but Myungsoo heard him and glared.
“Well…” I tried looking away because those aegyos were really pulling on my heartstrings, and they’re starting to hurt for pulling so much. “Howon! I like Howon-sshi! God, now would you please stop doing those faces!”
Once again, those not chosen pouted, while Howon grinned ear to ear. He stood up from his seat and pushed away Myungsoo to sit beside me. I laughed at the jerk that just fell and landed on the floor face-first.
“You can call me Howon-oppa, arasso?” he put an arm around me, and I couldn’t help but blush. But I wasn't that type of girl that goes around calling elder boys "oppa." The others’ mouths formed letter O’s.
“What the hell hyung!!!! Why did you push me off the chair so carelessly?!!!” Myungsoo screeched. He stood up and sat on the empty seat beside Emmi. She was boring holes on his head, and he looked like a scared dog beside her.
Sungjong suddenly whined. “Hyung, don’t put your arm around her! You have no right!”
“Yes I do,” Howon shrugged and set his head on my shoulder. They gasped.
“That’s illegal!” Dongwoo pointed.
“Nope,” he leaned on me more, and my blush deepened.
‘Emmi, etteoke??!!!’ I mouthed at Emmi, but she just shrugged, obviously enjoying my agony.
Aish.
