Shivaay was rather confused at the happenings. The whole Oberoi family went inside Anika's house and they began talking about Shivika. Shivaay tries to get Khanna's attention and speak to him but Khanna wasn't at all looking at him. It was Anika instead who got his signals. She got up, excused herself and dragged Shivaay along with her into her bedroom.

'Anika, where are you taking me and what's all of this??', Shivaay questioned as she was pulling him by her his hand forcefully towards her room.

As soon as they reached her room, she pushed him inside and closed the door.

'Anika, what is going on??? I don't understand anything!', Shivaay expressed.

'But I understood everything Mr.Shivaay Singh Oberoi!', she taunted  him.

'What's wrong?', he asked her slightly worried.

'What's wrong??? What were you going to do??? Huh??? You wanted to leave me right? How could you Shivaay?? How could you???', she questioned him as she began hitting on his chest while shedding an uncontrollable amount of tears.

Shivaay's gaze lowered and tears began to well up in his eyes too. He just stood numb as Anika was releasing all of her frustrations on him.

'You said so many things when you proposed me two weeks ago. Do you still remember them or should I repeat it??? Huh?? You said everything so sweetly. It was too perfect!!! Kya kya kuch nahi bola aapne!!! You said about fairy-tales and happily ever after all. Is this your style of happily ever after, huh??? Get engaged to a girl then walk away from her life!!!', she shouted them out while sobbing badly.

Shivaay wanted to hold her and stop those tears from her eyes. He can't watch her cry like this. He wanted to hold her in his arms and apologize to her badly.

'Anika, listen to me...',

'You listen to me! You can't just talk whenever you want or walk away from my life whenever you wish to! What do you think of yourself huh? Who do you think you are? I know! I know that they were many girls before me in your life. You yourself confessed this to me while proposing me. I also know that your ideaogy about love and all is quite different from mine. It isn't the same for me. My whole life, this whole 24 years of my life, I've been waiting for the one. The only one man who can make me feel those feelings that people write about in novels. And guess what??? It was you!!! Only you!!! I waited my whole life for you and what do I get in return??? You just leaving me??? This is not done!!! Not done!!! Do you hear that!!! Did you just have a fling with me for time pass, huh??? (This was like a slap on his face) How could you Shivaay??? How???', she sobbed badly and fell on her knees.

Shivaay immediately bend towards her and kneeled down next to her.

He cupped her face in his hands and wiped her tears off, but they were flowing non-stop. She was hurt big time.

'Anika, listen to me first please. (She was just sobbing incoherently hence he continued talking; his voice cracked as he talked) Anika... I wanted  to get married with you... not wanted.. I still want to... trust me!', he tried to console her.

'Trust??? You've broken it already!!!', she replied bitterly.

'Anika, just once, let me explain. (She made a go ahead, I'm listening kind of sign). Ani, I came here because I wanted to ask your parent's permission for our marriage. I know how much you sacrificed for me when you kept our engagement a secret. I know how much you would have wanted to scream to the world that you've finally got the one that you've wanted. I came here and asked but your dad imposed a condition on me...', his sentence was interrupted.

'What was it??? Huh???', Anika asked back in a sarcastic manner.

'He asked me to bring my family along. He wants a happy family for you... which my family isn't... I can never ask my parents... They would not come... There's no happy family... I didn't know... I was confused... that's why... I took that desicion... I was wrong...', his voice broke further as struggles to complete his sentences.

'And how did you just simply assumed that they won't come??? Aren't they out there for you now??? Huh??? How on Earth did you just jump into a conclusion like that??? Shivaay... you could have asked once before jumping into a conclusion like that right?? Just once!!! If not for me then at least for our love!!!', Anika told him.

'I know... I was wrong... I should have asked... but I didn't know how!!! I was worried... my family is problematic... complicated... everything's so messed up... and how could I??? I mean with which face would I face them and ask them... I had left them long ago... and now... asking them to come for me... I don't know... I just couldn't do it!!', his tears began betraying his eyes.

'It's your ego Shivaay!!! It's nothing else but pure ego and sheer foolishness!!!', her sentence was incomplete there as they heard a knock on the door.

'Ani, Mumma and Papa are calling you downstairs... come quick!', Gauri called out and left.

'Coming Gauri!', Anika replied and wiped her tears off. She washes her face and puts some make-up to cover up the puffiness.

Once they got down, both their families teased them a little and asked them to maintain some distance until marriage. Despite having disputes with Shivaay, Anika didn't show it off in front of them and played along with them.

'So beta, it's finalized that you both will be getting married by next week Friday since there aren't any auspicious dates after that for another year. And I don't think it would be fair to make you kids wait. I believe we shouldn't postpone any good thing! So, are you both okay with it?', Dadi asked them.

'Of course Dadi! You're the eldest in our family. Whatever desicion you take must be the best!', Anika confirmed with a grin.

'And your engagement is tonight!', Shakti Uncle announced.

'Huh??? Tonight??? But it's so soon... how about the arrangements and all???', Anika questioned.

'You don't worry about that Ani! We'll handle everything. You just have to get dressed and place the ring on Shivaay's ring finger!', Shakti Uncle assured her as he side-hugs Anika.

She smiled for a reply and hugged her father. Then, the elders began getting busy in the preparation meanwhile Anika and Gauri went for shopping along with Shivaay and Om.
