Hey guys! I'm sorry that I wasn't able to update the past few days. As I've already informed in the previous chapter, I've got a lot of things to do and yes, I'm still studying so definitely when exams and deadlines of assignments are near, I tend to not update. Don't mistake me. And yes, updated will be very much irregular until 3rd week of January.

Shivaay was in a deep slumber when the pilot announced that they have landed. Khanna woke him up and informed him about it. He got up right away. Once they landed, Shivaay's limousine was already waiting at the airport for him. While  getting into the limousine, he saw a bench at quite a distance and a smile crept onto his face. The very bench where his lady love fell on him. Instead of getting into the limousine, Shivaay went up on the bench and opened his arms wide, the same way Anika did. Khanna's jaw dropped upon seeing Shivaay's act! 

'Shivaay Sir has gone nuts! For sure!', he thought out loud without realizing that Shivaay has already get down of the bench and was in front of him.

'When you fall in love, then you'll know!', Shivaay replied casually and gets into the limousine.

(For those who still haven't understood, Shivaay is in Dehradun. On his way to Mussorie ;) Kuddos to those who guessed it).

Since the weather was good, they were able to go to Mussorie that time itself. Somewhat as they were nearing Mussorie, Shivaay began to get a little nervous. He stopped the limousine right where they had stopped the last time when he came along with Anika.

'Why are we stopping here Sir?', Khanna asked confusedly.

'Woh, I want to get some things for Anika's parents. I brought a few from Mumbai but there are somethings that I need to buy from here also. You stay here in the limousine, I'll get them', Shivaay said as he got down from the limousine.

Khanna also got down from the limousine as he wasn't used to this new avatar of Shivaay yet. The old Shivaay does't get down from the car once he gets in it. Whatever he needs throughout his journey from the beginning point to the end point, it would either be the driver or Khanna who will get it for him. 

'Why did you get down?', asked a confused Shivaay.

'It's okay Sir. I'll follow you! Besides I'll get bored waiting in the car', Khanna replied with a grin. 

Both of them then begin walking down the streets and checking the things there at the market. Then, suddenly someone hugged Shivaay from the back. He got surprised and turned around to find the person with a huge smile.

'Shivaay Bhaiya!!! I missed you!!!', he shouted.

Shivaay immediately got on his knees and hugged Saahil. Khanna stood there confused.

'I missed you too Saahil. How are you?', Shivaay asked.

'I'm terrific! How are you and where's Anika Didi?? And yes, did you hurt my girlfriend after leaving from here, huh?', Saahil questioned him.

'Errrmmm... Saahil... I came alone... Anika is in Mumbai... and woh...', Shivaay was interrupted.

'Ohw!!! Why didn't you bring Anika Didi but then?', Saahil questioned him again.

'Woh actually I have planned a surprise for her. And I think I'll need your help as well!', Shivaay told him.

Shivaay, Saahil and Khanna were now at the De Cruz Mansion doorstep. They were talking among themselves when suddenly Pinky Aunty run into them.

'Oh My Mata!!! What are you guys doings here in fronts!!! You have given me heart attacks!!!', Pinky Aunty screamed out in shock.

'Aunty, we're really very sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. We were just discussing somethings before entering but you came out before that!', Shivaay explained.

'It's okay Shivaay beta. How come you didn't informs me that you're coming? Huh? Anika also didn't informs me! Let her come! I'll do OMM of her!!! Comes in. But where's Anika?', Pinky Aunty questioned as she looks here and there for the sight of Anika.

'Errmm... Aunty, actually Anika didn't come. I came here alone. I've got something to talk to you and Uncle. Is he in?', Shivaay asked.

'What is it Shivaay?', Pinky Aunty questioned him back.

'Woh rishta lekar aaya hai hum! (we brought marriage proposal!)', Khanna and Saahil excitedly exclaimed.

'Kyaaaa???!!!!', Pinky Aunty exclaimed.

All of them were now in the living room where Pinky Aunty is listening to Shivaay's story.

'OMM!!! How did you both ends up together??? I means to say you both were fighting all the times!!!', Pinky Aunty questioned Shivaay when he told her everything that had happened.

'We also had the same question!', Saahil and Khanna thought to themselves.

'Even I don't have the answer Aunty. It's just that we fell in love! And now I want to marry her. I've come to ask your permission!', Shivaay genuinely speaks his heart out.

'You have my consents!', Pinky Aunty replied right away.

'But I don't!!!', another voice was heard from the back.

When they turned around, Shakti Uncle was standing there with a slightly angry face.

'But why Shakti Ji?', Pinky Aunty questioned him and went nearer him.

Shakti Uncle walked past Pinky Aunty and went towards Shivaay.

'Is this the way someone bring a marriage proposal? With a neighbour kid and his bodyguard??? Huh?', Shakti Uncle's question stunned everyone especially Shivaay as Shakti Uncle is a very sporting kind of person.

'But Uncle, when I proposed Anika the other day, I took your permission first, and you were the one who sent the photographs and all... then why are you behaving like this all of the sudden?', Shivaay asked.

'Shivaay! You proposing Anika and official marriage proposal to the family is two different things! This whole thing is done by the elders of the house. You're a very good guy, a great one in fact! Young, successful and most importantly you love my daughter and she loves you too. But marriage can't be done just like that. I need to know your parents as well! We have to be in agreement. I have the rights to know what kind of family I'm getting my daughter married into. Till date, I've given her everything she wanted. Everything! She grew up in a happy family. Now, when she's getting married, I need to be sure that the family she's going into is also like that. I agree that I'm a very sporting and open-minded person, but there are somethings, some traditions that shouldn't be broken. You want to talk about marriage? Then come to my house with your family; with your parents, then and only then I'll agree', Shakti Uncle firmly said his desicion and walked into his room while Pinky Aunty tailed behind him.

Shivaay was a little taken aback hearing that from Shakti Uncle. He wasn't expecting that. He was a little dissapointed and threw himself on the couch with a little jerk.

'No problem Shivaay bhaiya!!! We'll bring your family here tomorrow itself!! And all will be set!!!', Saahil exclaimed.

'It's not as easy as that Saahil!', Shivaay expressed sadly and walks away.

Khanna was about to go behind him when Saahil stopped him.

'Khanna Ji!!! Let him be alone for a while!!! In the meantime, let us both have a man-to-man talk!', Saahil 'ordered' him.

Shivaay walked upto the gazebo where he and Anika had their first dance and sat by the stairs there. He looked at the breathtaking view of Mussorie from there while thinking about what Shakti Uncle had just told him.

'I'm sorry Anika!!! I'm sorry that I'm unable to do this. I always thought marriage is just about two individuals. Just two and that love is enough for it. But, today, I realize that love alone isn't enough. Now what should I do? What can I do? How am I supposed to ask my parents to come here and talk to your parents? I left them when I was 17, now 12 years later, how am I supposed to go and ask them to come and talk for me selfishly? They would never agree. Dadi and Om will come for sure. But Jhanvi Mom and Dad??? I don't even speak properly to them. Will they come??? I learnt how family behaves and are supposed to be when I saw your family. Originating from a broken family, I hardly had any good memories with my family. Your life is full of those with your family! I've seen it. I know that I can never fulfill your father's requirement to come with a happy family. I know it and your father will never agree without seeing my family. You deserve someone better Anika. Someone who is like your Mr.Perfect, with a happy family. I love you and I know that you love me too, but I'm not the one for you! I'm sorry Anika but this is for your own good. You'll be broken now, but you'll get over me. You definitely will!', Shivaay thought to himself as he wipes the flowing tears from his eyes, but the pain and frustration was too intense that he broke down despite not wanting to do so.

Just then, his phone rang. It was Anika. Without even thinking for a second, he threw the phone down the hill.

'It's done Anika! I'm sorry!', he told himself as he breaks down further into tears.

PRECAP : Shivaay is about to infrom Shakti Uncle and Pinky Aunty that he made up his mind to leave Anika's life.
