Dominique's POV ~

"You missed practice."

Oh jeez.

" Amir..." I sigh

" I'm sorry. Truly, I am. I lost track of time." he chuckles

"You're the princess, you don't have to apologize to me just use your phone next time." he walks away and I go into my room.

I sigh.

Today was a long day.

I change and go to sleep as soon as I was tucked in. I kept thinking about today and what the princess' intentions were.

" Princess, what flower shall we decorate with?"

"What color would you like to wear? Do you like this dress? What about this one?"

"What kind of tea would you like, Your Highness? I suggest--" I scrunch up my face in annoyance.

" I'm here ~•," Adrienne says coming in and interrupting the lady taking my measurements and doing it herself.

"You're disgusting. You just wanted an excuse to touch her." Michaela says to Adrienne as she touched me all over while measuring me.

"I don't know how you can just stay still like that?" Michaela asks and I shrug

" Oh hush, Mick. You love me." Adrienne says happily

"Hmmph right." Michaela sits on my fluffy bed and lays down.

" BABE! Get her away from me." I call for her as Adrienne shamelessly goes to grab a boob.

Michaela comes over and slaps Adrienne in the head and hands the lady back her stuff.

The lady leaves after 10 more minutes of taking notes and measurements and I finally lay down on the bed.

"Dismissed," I say and everyone other than the girls leave.

" I'm sorry we won't be there," Michaela says.

"It's okay. I can handle it I just didn't want to." I say as I play with Adrienne's hair unconsciously out of habit

"Is your princess going to be there?" Michaela asks and Adrienne groans

" Yeah, all the princesses will be."

Ding.

Michaela checks her phone.

"Sorry guys, I have to go. Dad is calling me." she leaves and Adrienne immediately kisses me.

"You turn into a different person, you know that?" I say as I kiss her backs and push her down onto the bed.

"Mmm you do too." she bites my lip

I look beside me and Adrienne is fast asleep. I get up and take a quick shower before going outside to the madness that was party-planning.

I dealt with all the decorations and after that I answered back to letters and then I spent 3 whole hours with just dresses.

In the end it was all perfect but I was exhausted so I went back to my room.

Adrienne approaches me and goes to kiss me but I move and she instead kisses my cheek.

"You should leave. I'll be sleeping now." I say. She grunts.

"Yes, Your Highness." she leaves and I jump on the bed and just sleep.

I work up the next day and got ready for the party. I wore a beautiful white dress.

I went outside and as annoying as all of this was even I had to admit it looked really pretty.

The design and all was simple but elegant and the color was white which was just me being lazy but it looked quite good.

Everyone started arriving in the afternoon as scheduled and they all started to mingle as everyone got here.

Some brought small gifts and they all greeted me and each other formally before talking informally.

"Her Royal Highness, Princess of Rodask." Princess Anastasia formally said. I nodded.

"Her Royal Highness, Princess of The North." she nodded back.

" How was the trip here?" I asked

"It was fine. I'm used to travelling as are you I assume."

"Yes."

"..."

This was awkward.

" Princess, I heard your brother will be participating in the hunt this year?"

"Yes, as will I."

"You?"

"Yes." it stayed quiet for a moment before they got over it and spoke again

"Why had he not participated before?"

"He said he was not ready for marriage and as such didn't want to put himself and our family out there."

"Does that mean he's ready now?" ugh I forgot how annoying these things could truly be.

"Supposedly. He said he wants to do it for the family."

"Do you have a family in mind?"

" No, not at the moment." After I answered their questions, they went back to chatting amongst themselves and drinking their tea.

I let out a sigh of relief and take a sip of my tea.

"Will he marry a noble?" someone finally asks. I was expecting that question.

"Maybe," I answer indifferently. I could tell by the deafening silence they all had a problem with it since they all had one reason or another to want to marry him.

"W-why?" thanks.

" I wouldn't expect princesses such as yourselves to be so disrespectful and noisy. I have a headache, lead yourselves out." I stand up and walk back to the castle.

I turn around.

"Why are you- oh hey, your highness."

" you're really manipulative aren't you?"

"Of course. It's a gift that all of the girls at that table have. It's one of our weapons and we have to learn how to use it well."

" Well, I assume Her Majesty made you do it so what will you say to her?"

"Well~ I have you now don't I?" I say and pull her into the castle.

We walk for a little and I show her the castle.

"Dominique."

"Mother." I curtsied

"Her Majesty, The Queen." the princess says while bowing.

"Stand, child." mother extends her hands and the princess takes them.

" You are the north's daughter, correct?" The Princess nods and mother nods back before turning to me.

"Nikki-" I freeze at the sudden display of affection

"I'm glad you made a friend. Come to see me later."

"Yes, mother"

The Princess and I walk into my bedroom and sit on the couches.

"You two seem close?" she asks

" No, we're not. At all. Not really." I say and she just hums.

"Are you sure I should be here?"

"Hmm?"

"It's your bedroom."

"Oh don't worry about it, it's fine as long as Adrienne or Michaela don't catch you in here since this is supposed to be their sacred space."

RING RING RING RING

"Speak of the Devils. Give me a second." I answer the phone call.

"What's up?"

"How'd the tea party go?!" I heard Adrienne yell and then Michaela yelling at her to look at the road while driving.

"It went fine. At least mom is content. "

" Can we come over today?"

"Uh-" I look at the princess

" Sure but later I still gave some stuff to deal with." I hung up

"How are you getting back home, Your Highness? It's getting dark."

"It'll be fine, don't worry." I groan. Dammit.

"Would you like to sleep over?"

Ahhh triple update y'all I'm on a roll. But honestly I just can't sleep 😅
