Dominique's POV ~

It had been a few days since I had talked to the princess because I couldn't really find a good time or place also things were hella awkward right now.

We were all chatting in our first class waiting for our teacher when the door opened.

We all quieted down expecting the teacher but it was a girl instead.

"Who are you?" Grace asks

"I'm new. I'm Dana Iliad, 1st Princess of Iliad Empire." She had diamond blonde hair and it looked almost white which happened to match with her outfit for the day. She had beautiful green eyes and with those same eyes she looked at me.

So happy and joyful and perfect.

So.... boring.

I look back at her unimpressed and she just smirks and looks at everyone else including the princess.

"Iliad..." I whisper to myself as she sits down and the teacher finally comes in just chilling.

After our first class, everyone starts heading towards their second but I stop by the wall and call Lucio.

"Did you hear?" I ask

"Yeah, I truly didn't know." He says

"I know. It's fine but if they kept her hidden enough for you to not know then they really hid her existence."

"How is she?"

"She's boring." he laughs on the other line.

"She was kept as a hidden princess in a patriotic kingdom, I'm sure she'll entertain you after you get to know her. I'll keep digging."

"Hmm okay thanks broth--er..."

I hang up and look the girl in front of me.

"Do you need something?" I ask the hidden princess.

" nothing. Just curious."

"Shouldn't you be in class right now?" I ask

"Shouldn't you?"

"Hmm, feisty princess." I flirt. She laughs and walks with me into the class.

I walk in and look at my regular seat next to Anastasia but look away as Dana takes my arm and seats me next to her.

Anastasia looks back at me before looking away with a particular look on her face. I really couldn't tell what she was thinking since she was trying really hard to hide her feelings.

"So...where are you staying?" I whisper slightly leaning towards her seat.

"I'm staying at the dorms for now."

"Really? I thought they only allowed 2nd years or higher.

"They made an exception for me."

" Must be nice."

"Are you switching to the dorms next semester?" she asks me

"Yeah, hopefully, I'll get good roommates."

We stay quiet after that.

During lunch the princess and I sit at the opposite ends of the table and the newfound princess joins me and my friends on our side.

"Wyatt here is helping The United Kingdom's philosophy and is really into history." I say as I took a quick glance at the princess on the other side.

"Really? Can you read the Ancient Language?" She says

"Yeah, I learned it throughout the years growing up."

"Only about 20 people in the world know it and many of them are in Iliad." She says intrigued

"Princess, Can you? Princess?"

"My apologies, what?"

"Can you read the Ancient Language?"

"Only the basics. Father made us all learn after his 2nd in line learned it on his own. Jaime does very well in it." I say not looking at her

"Princess?" She grabs my chin and makes me turn to her

"It's rude to not look at someone while talking you know"

"Right, I'm sorry. Apologies, Your Highness."

"No worries you just seemed a little distracted there." She says while sneaking a peek at the princess who apparently was also looking our way since Dana gave her a playful wave and finally takes her fingers off my face which I hadn't noticed were still there.

"Princess Anastasia DuPont, correct?" She says

"Yes." I say giving her a warning look

"Don't give me that look, Darling. I won't hurt your dear princess." She says with a smirk and then playfully hits my shoulder and goes back to talking to Wyatt and Michaela like it's nothing.

I look at Adrienne who has been rather quiet this whole time. She looks truly ready to kill Dana and is sending deadly looks her way as she innocently ignores them.

I look at her and shake my head at her being disrespectful but give her a small smile for her overprotectiveness.

I go back to looking at the Princess and catch Grace's intrigued looks. It was one of those looks that happen when you tell your friends not to look but they look anyways and it made me chuckle a little bit. She seemed to be caught off guard by me laughing so she goes back to talking to the Princess and ignores me creepily staring at the Princess.

"Ughh I'm leaving." Adrienne says and I hum

"Wait what why?" Michaela asks hurriedly which makes me snap out of my daze and look up at Adrienne.

"Do you have something to do?" She groans

"You are so unbelievably dense sometimes, Dom," she says walking away.

What the heck?

"Should I...?" I look towards Michaela who only had her head down and I just stand up and walk towards Adrienne who walked deep into the library.

"Adrienne?" I hear a small gasp and she looks at me.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry if I made you angry. I didn't-"

"You're so- Ughh I can't even be mad at you." I laugh shrugging it off.

"What's wrong?" I say and reach my hand out to her shoulder but she backs away

"I'm so-"

"Shut up."

"What? Look-"

"I said shut up. We're in a fucking library."

"I didn't know you were into reading," I say whispering close to her ear.

"Yeah , I-I am so would you mind giving me space."

"Uh sure yeah okay." I leave Adrienne who sunk into one of the sofas and go back to the cafeteria.

"What'd she say?" Michaela asked carefully

"She just said she wanted space to read."

"Read? She doesn't- ohh never mind." I sit down.

"You're pretty popular." Dana tells me

"What?"

"Never mind" She says as she chuckles

RING RING

The bell rang and we had different classes so Dana had to say goodbye.

"See you tomorrow, sweet princess..."

Guys I cannot stress enough about how strongly I feel about the nickname, if you can even call it that, princess in this story. I normally don't have any strong feelings about the nickname princess but they, especially Dominique, give it diff types of vibes I swear. So you have no idea how much it actually bothered me that Dana called her that. K.
