(Akihito's pov)
Suicide. In the dictionary if is defined as 'the act of taking ones life.' Why am I bringing this up? Because this girl is about to jump. The navy blue ribbon of a first year flutters gently through the wind. There are two paths one can take in a story. The protagonist can act against the flow of the story and act upon his/her thoughts or the protagonist can be passive and let the story flow. I clearly belong in the second category....... but for some reason I chose the first path. "Uh excuse me!" I immediately knew what to say in that moment and how to word it "and a young girl who looks good in glasses as you do just can't die!" And finally I poured every last drop of emotion I had left in my last words. "What I'm trying to say is I like glasses!!"

"How unpleasant." Was all she said before jumping over the fence. She sped off toward me but stopped right in front of me I looked at her kinda confused and felt a sudden pain in my shoulder as she stabbed me. "You are no match for me." She said as I looked up at her smiling "excuse me.... but can you do something about that.... pretty please?" And that is how I met Diamond Ashikino and let's just say that in this world..... my life is gonna change..... not just for me...... but for everyone.

Time skip later that week.
"So you don't think dismemberment is a good idea?" Sapphire asked. "In my opinion people who dismember people just because they thought it was cool doesn't make them a good writer." I said plugging up the desk lamp and turning it on "is that better?" I asked. "Yes that's fine." Sapphire sighed as I plopped down in my chair. I started messing with the small stack of books next to me. "Akihito your senpai's put hard work into putting those scraps of paper together I wouldn't mess with those." Sapphire said. "Why didn't I sense a single shred of sincerity in what you said just now?" I asked. I then heard loud thumps and crashes outside the door "is that Diamond Ashikino?" Sapphire asked looking at the door.

I sighed and got up "yep." And walked out "don't leave all this work for me!" Sapphire yelled. "I'll be back in a sec." I said closing the door behind me. I sigh and walk forward a bit I did know she was behind me but she opened a locker and a bunch of cleaning brooms and supplies fell out and hit her head. I sigh and turn around "fancy meeting you here Diamond." I said sarcastically she looked away and fixed her glasses and looked at me "oh what a coincidence." She said acting surprised. I smirked "coincidence? YEAH RIGHT LIKE ID FALL FOR THAT!?" I yelled the last part. She then stood up "you know no matter how many times you stab me there will be nothing different." I explained. She giggled "No! That's not what I'm after you for! Miss Izumi Nase told me there was more in your family than just you and your mother." She explained. I had a shocked expression "ho-how did you find out?" I asked. "About Amethyst? Yeah I found out because Izumi told me there were two very powerful half youmu..... one containing 'beyond the boundary' and the other containing 'beyond the twilight' and that one is your sister." She explained and walked passed me tripping.

I sigh and walk back into the club room. "So? How'd it go?" Sapphire asked. "No progress! But she does know about my family." I said sighing my hands behind my head. "Really? Isn't it just you and your mom?" Sapphire asked. I shook my head "no it was me, my mom and my younger sister Amethyst..... but I haven't seen her for 4 years." I explained as the last bell rang.

Time skip to later after school.

I lock the door and sigh "how long do you plan on keeping this up?" I asked turning around. "Until your sister comes back. Or comes out of hiding." She said. "I can't believe you can manipulate your blood into a weapon." I said as she unwrapped her hand. "Well I come from a clan that had cursed blood. A spirit world warrior with such power was too dangerous that's why I'm the only survivor." She explained making her weapon. "It is time to comense our battle." She said. I sighed "fine." And I took a deep breath and ran away. "Wh-Why are you running away from me!?" She asked looking at me. "I'm not running away this is a tactical retreat!!" I replied and continued running down the stairs. She kept calling me saying 'senpai! Wait!' But I didn't stop. I jumped out the window and threw some things behind her. Once that was done it bought me some time to quickly hide. I went in a classroom and hid behind the cabinets in the back of the classroom.

She opened the door to the cabinet but I pushed it on her panting "now I think that's enough fooling around for one day how about we call it a day?" I asked and she used her weapon and stabbed the back open "what is this a horror movie now?" I asked sighing. Eventually she got out but had a bucket over her head "s-senpai! What did you do!?" She asked flailing her arms around. "There's a bucket on your head." I said plainly as she took it off. Then her stomach growled "wanna get some food?" I asked. She nodded "senpai! Watch out!" She warned as I look over and see a youmu crash in the classroom through the window. I froze for a sec "outta the way!" A female voice said when it turned out to be Miss May. "Sorry about that Kanbara but hey can you do me a favor and call the cleaners? You where planning to call them anyways right? Later!" And with that she left.

"Who was that?" Diamond asked. "That was Miss May she's a spirit world warrior." I sighed and walked out of the school.

Time skip to restaurant
"Can I ask you something Diamond?" I asked. "Yeah what's up senpai?" She asked taking a bite of her food. "What is your deal in finding my sister?" I asked actually curious. She sighed "your sister..... the only half youmu containing the 'beyond the twilight' youmu. It is said that if both 'beyond the boundary' and 'beyond the twilight' are together in youmu form they are so strong they could cause world destruction. Which is why I attack you." She explained taking another bite. I sigh "no because I told her not to come out of hiding due to a certain youmu after her. Izumi Nase has tried defeating her but failed and almost got killed MY sister is highly dangerous alone. So I would advise you to not seek her out." I said seriously as I finished my food and payed leaving. "Wait! Akihito! I need your help! Th-there's a powerful youmu in my apartment and I need your help getting rid of it!"

I paused and looked at her "ok." I said smiling and she grabbed her things "hey diamond have you ever thought of quitting?" I asked. "Well yeah! I'm tired of living like this! Having to kill youmu just to make money!" She said I smiled "I understand how you feel I'm the same as you" I said and we walked to her apartment.

She flicked on the light. "Wait here please." She said that and walked in with me not too far behind. "See anything different?" I asked. "Not in particular." Then the lights flicker and the faucet runs "get ready." I whisper to her and she made her blade. I then got knocked back by the youmu and Diamond sliced at it knocking me out of my thoughts. "Senpai watch out!!"
