Chapter 12

My new family all sat around on the couches joking around and talking the rest of the night. It had to be the best night I could've asked for, but it all ended way too fast. The girls were the first to leave, taking Leslie with them. Adai was next mumbling something about being late on his phone call...not sure what he was talking about I could only smile and wave goodnight to my brother.

Eventually, Dad stood up and headed off as well. Of course not before picking me up off of Adeke and into a comforting hug and whispering softly into my ear, "I've missed you beautiful baby..."

It wasn't until after I was deposited back into Adeke's arms that I felt my eyes tearing up at my father's words. I managed to hold in the tears until Dad left the room. It was right then that everything hit me like a tidal wave causing my eyes to run like a faucet. 

I felt strong arms wrap around my shoulders and pull me close. Adeke rubbed his hands soothingly up and down my back, whispering nonsense in my ear. I'm not sure how long I sat there sobbing but I do know that by the time I looked up again, Mom had decided to leave us be and go to bed.

"I'm sorry, I'm normally stronger than this..." I waved my hand in front of my face, indicating my tears. 

Adeke chuckled at me, his chest rubbing my arm in the process. Electricity travelled through my body at the brief touch and bit my lip to keep from moaning. Adeke seemed to not notice as he started talking in a soothing voice. "Love, crying doesn't mean you are weak."

In that moment I couldn't concentrate on his words. It was as if a switch had been flipped in me and every overwhelming thought that prevously filled my brain was gone. Instantly, my tears dried up and all I saw was my mate. Something inside me wanted him, now.

I pulled my hands up in between us, running my palms flat against his hard chest. Adeke stilled instantly, unable to move as my hands continued to explore his chest in his tight button up shirt. My suddenly skilled fingers unbuttoned the first few buttons to expose a bit of his skin. I instantly took the oportunitiy to press my lips lightly to his skin, causing a shiver to run the length of his body.

"Anahi...You're killing me, love." Adeke whispered into my hair. 

"That was the idea babe." I purred to him pushing against his chest, taking him off guard and causing him to fall back against the couch. Adeke pushed up on his elbows quickly and his green eyes flashed up at me dangerously. 

"I think maybe you should have had that talk with your mom tonight after all..." Adeke said watching me warily. I couldn't help but smirk at him and put my hands on either side of his his hips, leaning in closer to him. I inhaled deeply as his scent suddenly overcame my senses, causing my eyes to close.

Something strange shifted behind my eyelids but with the summery scent of my mate surrounding me I could have cared less. I crawled closer to him and finally opened my eyes. I watched as his eyes widened in surprise before lust instantly clouded his features. He stared at me for a second before he shook his head as if to clear it.

"Love, you're eyes. You have your cat's eyes...wow, I didn't..." He trailed off as I crawled my way over the top of him, rubbing my body against his. Our bodies instantly pushed closer to each other as a wave of pleasureable shocks passed between us. I purred loudly in the back of my throat and looked up at Adeke through my lashes.

His green eyes suddenly started glowing from within. The strange dull green light should have scared me but instead it caused the opposite. My body instantly pushed close to his and a moan escaped my lips at the lust that was making it's way through my body. My nose suddenly found it's way to Adeke's neck and inhaled deeply again. Adeke's hands grabbed my waist and pulled me to him roughly making me gasp. 

I pushed up from him, stradling his waist, and looked down at him. I licked my lips at the sight of pure lust he gave me. His eyes followed the path of my tongue against my lips and a myschievous smirk broke out on his lips.

"Kiss me." Adeke ordered me, almost growling. Unable to deny him I did just that.

As soon as our lips touched I wanted to explode...literally. Something in me snapped and a roar came from my lips unlike any sound I could ever had made as a human. I felt my teeth shift and elongate in my mouth and I couldn't stop what I did next.

I effing bit him! Why would I bite him!...I mean what the Hell! 

As soon as my teeth broke his skin, all shock was gone and instincts took over.

"Anahi..." he groaned into my ear bucking up against me. My teeth retracted and I reached out with my tongue to sooth his wound. I watched as it healed amost instantly leaving a visible scar behind. I purred in satisfaction at the mark on his neck and decided to give it a taste with my tonge.

 "Whoa!" Adeke instantly shot out from under me causing me to look up at him hungrily. He stood tall above me breathing heavily, and I instantly started purring when I saw the glow of primal lust in his eyes. He closed his eyes as he heard me and I could tell he was trying to restrain himself a little. When he opened his eyes again he seemed a little be more in control. But, I didn't want him in control...did I? No, I wanted him to loose it, just like me.

 I looked up at him through my lashes sexily and pouted at him. "Adeke...Come here..." I added a little moan to it, trying to express my need for him. Still he stood tall and only clinched his fists tightly, although his eyes began to glow slightly.

 "You are already too close to shifting...This was too fast, you weren't supposed to mark me yet..." Oh, so that's what that bite was! Hmm, just the thought made me shiver in need. Adeke watched me lustfully and I knew he was replaying me marking him in his head. The longer he looked at me the more labored his breathing got, which ment the more I paid attention to the rise and fall of his chest. I was drawn in to the sight of his glorious muscles stretching the fabric.

 "Oh forget this..." Adeke suddenly ripped his shirt open, buttons flying everywhere. I couldn't help but purr even louder and reach up to run my fingertips along his perfect abs. Adeke's breathing stopped then started again, only louder. He panted looking down at me and I quivered at the sight, my hot mate standing above me. I let my eyes take in every glorious muscle that was exposed to my view.

 Adeke's body was suddenly on top of mine, pushing me down into the couch. I instantly purred at the feeling of his naked flesh against my hands. His lips instantly crashed against my neck, sucking at the skin and sinding fire shooting through my veins. "Mine...Mine...mine..." Adeke seemed to pant in between kisses that trailed up my neck to my to my earlobe. His hot breath shuddered against my ear and I shivered again, rubbing my body against his.

 I tried to ignore the heat that seemed to suddenly radiate from my mate's body and into mine, but as soon as it started it intesified. His skin burned under my hands begging me to get closer to him. Adeke's lips left my own swollen and raw as his powerful lips started to trail the length of my throat. I couldn't help the moans that escaped me, echoing loudly through the room. With every brush of his lips Adeke had my body shuddering in pleasure and a craving for something I couldn't explain. I wanted something from my mate, something I couldn't explain.

 "Adeke...Please." I begged him as his teeth suddenly grazed the skin at my shoulder. Something waited just below the surface of my skin, I could feel it. It was so strange...the feeling of something inside you. Suddenly I connected the dots...in order to shift I have to be accepted by mate, to be marked as his. The crawling feeling under my skin was my cat. She wanted out and Adeke was the key. He only had to mark me for me to finally be whole...

 "Anahi, are you ready for this? Really ready?" Adeke's sexy voice came through to me. I focused on him again as he looked up at me with his brilliant green eyes. "All I want to do is make you mine..."

 "Do it." I purred.

 Adeke's eyes darkened briefly before glowing again. The feral yet sexy look came back into his eye made me realize his marking wouldn't be the same as my marking...I felt his body get hotter, my cat wanted nothing but to curl up into his heat and bask in it. The small shocks that had become natural to me suddenly intesified. I threw back my head and moaned loudly, exposing my neck to Adeke.

His teeth suddenly latched on to my neck right where the shoulder meets, drawing blood, but I felt no pain. For several seconds I was in pure bliss. Every nerve ending in my body was concentrated on Adeke. His smell, his taste, his weight pressing down on me and although I was fully clothed I had never felt so connected to another man. He sucked at me slightly before pulling his mouth away, looking at his mark. The moment his tongue reached out to touch my skin again, I nearly screamed in pleasure. Heat flaired up inside me, traveling through my veins and almost wanted to burn me from the inside out.

 Adeke immeadiately pulled away and looked down at me grinning like a wild man. "Anahi, let go. Relax, love."

I closed my eyes and tried to do as he said. The Fire in my was almost too distracting but after a couple deep breaths I felt it. It wasn't like the books and when they talk of a werewolf shifting...you know, the popping of bones and all the pain.

This was the oddest feeling of simply one second I was a lust filled twenty year old woman, begging her mate and the next second I was shimmering into a clouded leopard. Although, I had never seen one I knew what I was by instinct. Caramel paws had taken the place of my hands, followed by dark spotted legs. The spots didn't last long for they strangely turned into clouded dark boxes that made a pattern across my fur. Personally, I thought that I looked deadly but gracefully beautiful with my powerful dark spotted tail and strong powerful body.  

 I looked up at Adeke and instantly wanted to rub up against him and his sexy self. I pulled myself up to my feet, which by the way was the weirdest feeling. Standing on four feet was just crazy but I managed to adjust quickly. As I gracefully walked to him, Adeke could only look down at me in awe.

"Don't look at me like that." Adeke said grinning. I attempted to grin back and just looked funny so I stopped.

Instead I stalked over to him and rubbed my large body against his legs sniffing him to make sure my smell was on him before sitting down. He crouched down next to me, putting his hands in my fur under my head and looked into my eyes. His bright green eyes soothed me and excited me at the same time. My tail wrapped around him and caressed his back softly.

"Is it normal for that to kind of turn me on?" Adeke joked, I think... "Come on, are you ready for bed?"

I nodded, unsure of how else to answer him. As much as I loved being in this form I wanted to sleep snuggled up next to my mate. Damn it, what do I do?

"Just relax and think of being human, sweetie." Mom's voice came from the doorway, shocking me. I turned to her and saw not only her but Adai there as well, both with huge smiles on their faces. I did as she said and I could feel my body shimmer once again. I was standing as a human in an instant. I was okay for a moment before all the energy left my body and my knees gave out. Adeke was there before I could hit the ground, holding me carefully in his arms.

"Adeke can you take her to your room. She won't make it on her own...." Mom said softly.

I wrapped my arms around Adeke's neck and he easily picked me up into his arms just before everything went dark...
