(Should've probably mention last chapter is Adam having a flashback hence the Italics. Same thing applies in this chapter and probably after that too. If that makes any sense)

Pixel's POV

"Mommy! Mommy! Look it's snowing!!!!" Calum practically yelled jumping up and down in his booster seat.

We had been driving for 3 days. Taking breaks every so often and stopping at hotels for the nights. I have a bunch of pictures just from the three days from sunset to sunrise.

"Wanna get a picture outside?" I said as we pulled up to a park.

"Yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!" Calum squealed happily as he unbuckled seatbelt and grabbed the door handle.

"Okay okay. Calm down there bud." I get out my side of the moving truck, grabbing my camera in the process, and go over to Calum's door. I pick him up and close the door behind him. I lock the truck and pull out my camera. I place Calum on the ground and he starts running to the playground.

"Careful bud! It might be slippery!" I called after him as I cleaned my camera lens.

Adam's POV

"Little more to the left. TOO FAR TOO FAR! More to the right... THERE! Now down!" Pixel and I were at a claw machine in the new arcade.

"I GOT IT! IgotitIgotitIgotit!" Pixel squealed, grabbed the stuffed toy out of the claw machine and held it up with pride.

"I thought those were rigged!" Someone passing by us practically yelled. I chuckled slightly as Pixel grabbed my arm.

"Let's go play some more games!" Pixel continues to take me to all the arcade machines playing games.

We were there for a couple hours until it was time to close for the day.

"Well I had fun!" Pixel some what shouted next to me.

"No need to yell Pixie," I teased her with the hated nickname.

"HEY! You know what? Fine call me that I was going to see if you wanted to do this again some time but... I don't think I want to anymore," Pixel said. Her voice was stern and her posture was firm.

Shit she meant it!

"Nononononono! I didn't mean to make you upset with me. I didn't mean it I'm sorry please I would love to do this again with you sometime," I was begging so much I was willing to get in my knees and beg. Pixel is my only real best friend and I can't lose her.

"I forgive you, this time," Pixel turned around and gave me a hug. "Let's get walking home now!" Pixel grabbed my wrist and started skipping down the sidewalk, humming cheerful tunes to herself.

How could she act like nothing happened earlier?

Instead of hanging out with me having a good time she could of been in the hospital from a stab wound if not many.

She walks it off like nothing is wrong and everything is perfect.

It's like she lives in a fantasy world I've never heard off.

How does she do it?

I've told her of my background but... I know near to nothing on hers...

I know almost nothing about her yet I'm still falling for her.

I'm falling fast and hard for her.

I just can't stop falling for her though.

She's perfect in every way! Who couldn't fall for her.

Seeing her makes me smile.

Her smile brightens up my day.

Her cheery voice makes my heart race.

Her giving me a hug everyday makes butterflies erupt in my stomach.

Her laugh I can't live without.

Just seeing her and knowing that she is apart of my life is just... amazing.

I honestly don't know where I would be if she wasn't here with me by my side.

"I'll see you tomorrow Adam," Pixel gave me a side hug, breaking me out of my thoughts. I look around and we are at my front door step.

"See you tomorrow Pixel. Night," I said returning the hug smiling down at her.

"Here, I want you to have it. So you can remember our time together in case... we ever get split up and don't see each other for a long time," Pixel gave me a small smile placing the stuffed bear she won in my hand. "Good night Adam," she backed away from me and started walking towards her house across the street.

This couldn't of lasted any longer?

Unwillingly I sat up in bed and dragged my hands down my face.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...?

I stood up and started getting ready for a full day of recording.

Ding

I look over at my bed side table to my phone being lit up. I put my pencil down and pick up my phone.

It's a text from Pixel.

Pixie Malixs

Pixie: Hey Adam... I know it's late and the probably not up right now but... text me back if you are

Adam: Yeah I'm awake. What's wrong?

Pixie: Thank goodness you are! I was wondering if I could stay the night at you house? I know you have your parents and sister home but I can't be at my place right now

Adam: Yeah it's cool just head over when ever

Pixie: Thx Adam. I know I can always count on you. Be there in 3

Oh no something horrible must have happened.

Reasons why?

1.
It's late at night and the first form of communication with her in the mornings is when she knocks on my door in the morning.

2.
She wants to stay the night at my house

And 3.
She said 'I can't be at my house right now'.

I got up from my bed and quietly exited my room and made my way to the front door. I opened it and closed it behind my quietly making sure it wasn't locked. I sat on the porch and waited for Pixel. I looked over at her house only to see a shadowy figure closing the front door. I started hearing muffled voices as the figure grew nearer. The person lifted their head and looked at me making them quicken their pace to get over to me.

"Hey, what happened Pixel?" She gave me a running hug and buried her face in my chest. I pulled back from the hug to find streaks of tears going down her face. They were shining from the moonlight and stars outside.

A breeze blew through making it way colder than before.

"It's getting chillier out. Let's head inside," I guided Pixel inside the house and over to my room. Once inside I had Pixel sit on my bed while I closed and locked the door.

"Can you tell me now why you were crying, texting my late at night and coming over so late at night?" I asked, my voice was soft and gentle as I wiped the tears off her face.

"My-my parents are fighting and... I don't know what to do..."

A/N

I'm heading out of town to visit family for the weekend so I won't be able to update quicker. I'm planing on doing a bunch of writing during winter break.
