Pixel's POV

After packing the moving truck I did one more check around the house for any missing items I might of missed. Going through all of our stuff made me smile looking at the fond memories I made with Calum. Calum is the reason I keep going. If it wasn't for him I would have given up so sooo long ago.

I went through all of the albums of our trip around the world. Pictures of the scene with Calum and I and when it was just the scene. No matter what being there was better than looking at the pictures.

"Calum, honey, can you strap up in the moving truck while I get Uncle Tyson to drive our car?" I said walking to the front yard.

"Yes mommy!" Calum shouted as he ran past me to the giant moving truck.

I walked over to Tyson who was locking the back of the moving truck.

"I still don't understand why you don't go by plane. It's MUCH faster than this!" Tyson complained as he finished securing the door.

"After the trip Ty, I don't think I wanna go by plane again." I gave Tyson one last hug as I walked over to the drivers seat.

Tyson is my younger brother that my parents set off to private school. He graduated this year and right afterwards my parents kicked him out of the house. Me wanting to not only meet him but take him out of our parents wicked grasp, told him he could stay with me. Only recently did he go rent a place with a bunch of his college buddies, moving out completely.

I wonder where Anthony is...

Anthony is our oldest brother who was off to college a year before Calum was born. He left two months before the... incident so he knows nothing about it. We lost contact not too long after we dropped him off at the gates.

"I'm bored!" Calum threw his hands up in the air and huffed, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Here you can sleep until we break for lunch." It was 5AM and we all already ate breakfast. I was waiting for Calum to knock out so I could fix his sleeping arrangement. I fastened his seatbelt and fixed the pillows around him as I started the truck. It would take us a week or more to get there. We were off just like that.

Adam's POV

"Adam!" An extremely familiar voice yelled down the hall.

"Hey Pixel! What's up?" I asked her with a small smile. She stuck up for me every day since we meet. She respected not only my secrets but just in general. She would never push anything on me at all and never force me to do something I didn't want to.

"Oh nothing just wanted to know if you could hangout after school? After all the mid finals this week I thought you might wanna... GO TO THE NEW ARCADE! They finally opened it!" Pixel squealed making everyone in the hallway stop on look at us. They started laughing to themselves quietly and continued walking. Probably because Pixel was... well being Pixel.

"I don't know..." I was a little hesitant. Her older brother, Anthony, told me to stay away from her. It doesn't help that he picks on me from time to time. He keeps saying I'm a bad influence on her.

"Cmon! Please," She dragged out the 'e' in please making puppy dog eyes at me.

"Fine!" I caved in with a small smile on my face.

"YAY! We'll walk there after school. I have to get to my next class now! I'll see you later, meet at my locker?" She asked me. Her eyes were filled with curiosity, excitement and happiness.

"Meet you there," I gave her a small smile, she gave me a hug in return as she sped off towards the gym. She had a blue and white gym bag over her shoulder that bounced up and down as she started skipping down the hall.

I envied her. She doesn't care what others think about her and makes friends so easily. Yet she only says a quick greeting to most of them in the halls and that's it. I'm really lucky that she wants to hang out with me instead of just saying hi to me in the halls.

"Hey look! The adopted fatsass!" Someone yelled as I was shoved at the closed lockers. "Leave my sister alone if you know what's good for you!" Anthony yelled into my ear as I fell to the ground.

"ANTHONY!" Pixel screamed from down the hall. I sat up against a locker as she came sprinting over. "LEAVE MY FRIEND ALONE!!" She growled at him standing up in front of me.

"He's a bad influence on you! Do you really wanna grow to be that thing!"

"That thing has a name! That's Adam and I rather have a friend like him THAN A BROTHER LIKE YOU!" She shouted at him. Fire in her eyes as she held out her hand my way. I took her hand, almost making her tumble to the ground while doing so, while her brother looked slightly hurt by this.

"CODE RED! CODE RED! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" Came onto the announcements.

"What!?!?" Soon after someone in all black clothing came running this way.

He pulled out a knife and started walking towards us. A freshman came around a side hall and ran into the guy. He grabbed the guy freshman and held the knife to his neck.

"ERIC!" Pixel yelled as she started walking slowly towards them.

"Pixel what are you doing?" Anthony asked as his friends went running towards a classroom.

Cowards.

"It's okay, I just wanna talk. Can you please take the knife away from his neck?" Pixels voice was soft and comforting. She spoke that way when I was telling her about my past. She kept telling me that everything would be okay. That everything would be fine. That she would help me the best she can. Even if it takes her life.

"One more step and he's a dead boy!" The man threatened readjusting his grip on Eric.

Pixel raised her arms up and rolled up her sleeves.

"I'm unarmed see? Can you please remove the knife and place it on the ground?" She spoke softly as Anthony tried to stay calm.

"Pixel!"

"Shut up!" She snapped at him. She was completely calm as she stood closer to the man. She extended her arm forward. Her stance was strong and her voice was sincere.

"Not one more step missy!" The man said.

"Pixel it's fine. I don't want you to get hurt and-"

"SHUT UP!" Both Pixel and the man yelled. It would be funny if someone wasn't in a life or death situation.

"Give me the knife, please." Pixel asked kindly as the man looked from Pixel to her hand back to Pixel. He kept switching his glance and slowly, as his hands were shaking, placed the knife in her hand.

Slowly the man let Eric go as he came running towards Anthony and I.

"Thank you," Pixel said quietly and kindly as a police man came running toward us. He tackled the man and hand cuffed him.

Pixel handed the knife to the other police officers and walked over to us. Her eyes were clouded and her face was blank.

"I'll... walk you to class..." Pixel grabbed the side of my arm and started leading me down the hall to my English class.
