"aww man" steven frowns as he got pasta sauce on his shirt while eating lunch in the kitchen with the others.

"you have been wearing these clothes for a week now anyways. Are you scared to change into something else or something?" Zuko asks amused

"I don't really have anything to change into that is actually mine, nagisa did offer his but they are a little tight" the cinnamon roll explaims

"whaaaaaat!!?" dick and kayano exclaim jumping from they're seats

"why haven't you told us!? You could have mine! " dick starts rambling at the same time as kayano: "And you just didn't say anything?!"

"Miss Trisha said we will go shopping for more clothes tomorrow anyways it's no big deal really" steven tried to reassure them but dick was having none of it

"Nonesense! We can't have you running around with only one outfit!" dick rambles running out of the kitchen to who knows where.

"Richi is right we need to go and get steven some clothes!" kayo follows dicks enthusiasm

"Did some one say something about shopping?! Count me in!" Nagisa cheered

"and me too! " kayano joyns in

"I can't I have volleyball practice" nishinoya explains getting a few boos from the others

"and for the mean time here!" dick smiles handing him a red hoody the sleves aand hood are black (a bit like his robin costume in yj))

"wow thank you!" steven thankes in awe with star eyes

"Then to the MaLL!" Dick anounces brightly

And like that steven, nagisa, dick, kayo, kayano, nico and zuko are getting ready for a shopping trip.

-Time Skip-

"what's wirh all the pink shirts you two?" Nico asked as he carries a bag of steven and nagisas new shirts, with a lot of them being pink with at least one star somewhere.

"It's a nice color! And it has this nice feeling to it" steven explains as good as he could, as they came closer to their home

"yea and this way we can share some clothes without a problem!"nagisa adds as he and steven strike a pose in matching blue hoodies.

"you guys are unbelievable" nico chuckles

"anyways we are HOME!" kayano yells as she opens the front door

" did you get us the books we told you about!?" Ed asks eagerly looking at kayo

"yea here you boys" kayo tells them giving them two books about the atomic components of everyday things

"yes!" Ed & al cheered taking of again.

"how come they are so interested into stuff like that?" steven wonders

"oh you don't know yet? Ed's and Al's quirk is called Alchemie they can transform things into other things, but they have to know what it is made of, otherwise it looks all weard and they could get hurt by it" kayano explains to steven

"but why would they be hurt by it?" steven asks now worried for the youngest ones

"well when they explained it it had something to do with: that you can't get something out of nothing and it would break the rule of equivalent exchange" kayano told him as good as she could

"okey I think that makes sense" steven shruggs. " can I ask you something else?"

"sure ask away" kayano smiles

"what is your quirk" steven asks a little blunt

"oh well you see..." kayano starts as green tentacles sprouted from the back of her neck and she winced as she moved them around a little, "I have these tentacles I can grow from my neck, they aren't really anything special... " kayano drifts off

"what! No way! Of corse they are special I mean how cool is that! If something is to far away you can just use these to get it and if you become a hero you can pull the people out of the way even when you are to far away to do it with you hands!" steven goes into fanboy mode

" they really aren't, but thanks anyways I appreciate it" kayano says with a sad amile before leaving steven standing in the hallway

"what was that about?" steven asks no one in particular while being visibly confused.

"don't take it personally she has some bad memories tied to her quirk ever since her sister passed away..." Miss Trisha suddenly explains in a aad tone

"whoa! Sorry I didn't notice you standing there" steven turns around startled.

"No worries, anyways I see you guys already went shopping but would you mind if we go tomorrow together anyways? I think there are a few things you guys didn't think to buy so far" miss Trisha explains with a little chuckle at the end.

"sure but I think we got everything I would need I even got these super cool shoes look they have stars on them!" steven cheered showing her is new pink converse shoes.

"oh those are marvelous sweety but I was thinking more of formal clothes and a school uniform!" Trisha praises him

"wait school?"  steven asks stunned

"well of corse. You will be going back to school so we have to prepare!"

"but... I don't think I have ever been to school before, or well at least I think I would remember that in some way" steven hesitates

"I know you are not able to recall all of your memories but that shouldn't stop you from living like a normal kid your age" trisha spoke

Something about this irritated steven like a normal kid his age? What does that even mean does he not live like a normal kid? He and nagisa are very similar! Sure nagisa goes to school but he doesn't seem very enthusiastic when he talks about the local school, he actually always looks rather depressed before leaving, but he never told him why. Is it because this haruca-chan and mako-chan don't go there?

"when will it start?" steven asks

"In a few weeks you must take a test beforehand so they can determine what class to send you to, but we will teach you some of the important things first" Trisha explains

And just like that the school preparations for steven started, miss trisha and the other teens taught him in a variety of the school subjects and general things to know about the world he even learned with the young elric brothers about chemistry and atomic components. Togehter with kousei Steven also discovered that he can play veriety of instruments like the ukulele the piano he can also play the drums which generaly everyone was impressed with. And once when they played around of volleyball steven jumped to make an attack, but he didn't come back onto the ground he just floated there for some time until he began to panic and floped back onto the floor oddly like a reflex before he landed on the floor he was in a pink bubble that softened his landing they did have a hard time to get him out of it tho.

But now with a good control over his quirk, a good amount of knowledge, the test suggesting he could skip a grade if his grades are all A's until the end of the year and a nice school uniform consisting of black dresspants a white bluse a black necktie with three white stripes on it and a saco steven is ready for his next adventure.

Here we are  at the Nabooh city middle school and Steven about to knock on the classroom door, for his first day of school ever. Beforehand steven was shown around by nagisa, nishinoya and kayano. Kousei was formaly there too but a brunette girl more or less kidnapped him from the group. After a chat with the secretary steven got his time table and all necessary information he needed, so the others loaded him off in front of his classroom door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Come in" A female voice from inside called

Taking one last breath to calm himself Steven opened the door. While yes the other kid's were sitting steven could tell most of them will be taller than him if they get up.

"Uhm hi I am steven universe I am the new student." steven awkwardly waved in an failed attempt to make it look less awkward.

"Ah the new student, I am miss. Smith please take a seat on the spot next to shinsou, would you please raise your hand shinsou so universe can see you" a woman with black hair and green eyes instructed

A teen with purple hair and purple eyes that are surrounded by dark bags raised his hand.

Steven made his way over to the kid he almost tripped over a bag of a girl sitting two rows infront of him he manages to get to his seat. During this time the students started to quietly chat with each other, with no doubt about steven

"Hi I am steven nice to meet you" steven smiles introducing himself to this shinsou

"shinsou, you too I guess" was the flat remark of the other

"Now Now kids, if you would all calm down. You can talk to each other during the break, but now let's get back to class" the teacher clapped to get the casses attention. A few seconds later the students turned their attention back to the teacher which continued teaching.

Due to the preteaching steven was able to follow the lesson, without any major problems.
He was sitting in the middle of english class when he realized he is perfectly fluent in english and has no problem in solving the worksheet given to him in barely five minutes while the other students needed fifteen minutes for the same thing.

Miss smith was impressed to say the least and gave him another two worksheets that were supposed to be the homework. Which steven finished by the time the rest of the class was done with the original sheet.

Soon the bell rang and the teacher left the room. Immediately half the class was surrounding steven bombarding him with questions like

"where do you come from"
"you were so quick with that worksheet is that your quirk?"
"what's with the pink shoes"
"who is your favorite hero?"
"what's your quirk?"
"do you want to eat with us at lunchtime?"

Steven tried to answer them all but after the first one he could barely understand what everyone wanted form him and started do internally panik.

"Give him a break you guys didn't even give him a chance to answer" Shinsou silenced the group of teens after noticing stevens discomfort 

The kids hesitated but left steven alone. A few moments later the next teacher arrived and math class began.

"thank you for that" Steven thanked shinsou after calming down a little

"it's nothing to thank me for" shinsou responds before focusing back on the teacher but with a faint smile on his lips.

English was like as second nature to him but math? He sure knows the basics and all, together with the chemical equations he learned with ed and al. But steven was absolutely lost. He had no clue what the teacher was doing. Apparently he is also writing kinda slow, because by the time he kopied half of the blackboard the teacher was at an seemingly entirely new subject as it seemed.

Like what does the sizo of a swimming pool have to do with:
x=25/y +c

And more of such things, he was just to lost at that point. And he also got homework he knew he couldn't finish on his own.

Soon the bell rang and everyone packed everything up as quickly as they possibly could to leave the classroom for a fifteen minute break.

Out in the hall steven was yet again surrounded by teens asking him questions, this time however he was prepared for it.

"so what's your quirk?" a girl with red hair and redish brown eyes asked him with curiosity

"my quirk is called pink diamond. Like the gem I have here" stevens says lifting his blues just enough to show his gem. "I can make pink bubbles with it and fly or well float fits a bit better" steven explains a little further and bubbles his backpack for demonstration.

"whoa! That's so cool! I can only change my hair and eye colour" a girl with white hair and gray eyes frowns

"it's really not that special" steven tries to talk it down and unbubbles his backpack in an attempt to not make the girl upset.

"no man that is really sweet! Don't talk it bad! It is a really good quirk! "  another boy with messy brown hair encourages

"jea is a good quirk! Different from a certain persons quirk" a black haired guy laughed glancing to the side where shinsou is standing

"what do you mean?" steven asks now confused to what the kid meant

"shinsou over there can brainwash people to do whatever he wants. He will probably become a villain and nobody will be able to tell it was him" another girl with black hair in a pony tail explains shaking a bit.

"but why would he do to that?" steven asks not understanding why shinsou would do that he seemed like a nice person he helped him earlier after all.

"why do villains attack? For fun" the black haired boy responds

"but hurting people isn't fun" steven states in a factly manner

"evil people don't care about that" the other boy scoffs

"well I don't think he's evil" steven explains

"Of course he is! Look at his quirk!"the black haired boy yells getting frustrated

"It's not the quirk, it is the person deciding how to use it that makes it good or bad" steven shares a sudden rush of wisdom

"ugh! Whatever" the boy puffs and leaves.

The two girls trying not to get involved into the argument now stared at steven with admiration.
Steven however was now looking at shinsou realizing that he is all alone on the side. He excused himself from the girls which protested but let him leave anyway.

"Is this spot free? " steven asked approaching shinsou.

Shinsou just nodded.

"that guy over there is a real douche bag"

"you mean kevin?" shinsou states with a raised eyebrow

"ugh of corse his name is kevin" steven scoffs

"what are you talking about?" shinsou asks

"I don't know. I can't remember why but I really couldn't stand that guy" steven shrugs

"you don't even remember why you can't stand him?" shinsou asks amused

"you see I can't really remember much from before a few weeks ago. By what I was told in the hospital something hit my head during an earthquake really hard and ever since that well I guess I am still figuring al of that out" steven explains in a whisper

"thats rough buddy"

"yea but well it's fine I guess. I can't really change that" steven states brushing it of like it didn't matter

"so is it true that you can like brainwash people?" steven asks shinsouafter a pause

"well yeah" shinsou nods

"Woah! That's really cool! You can just tell the villains to stop doing crime and go to the police!" steven smiled brightly

"huh wow I think that is the first time someone has ever viewed it in a positive light" shinsou responds a bit stunned by the positivity radiating from the other kid

"Imagine the villain just stopping to do the right thing! There would be way less crime"

"I really like the way you think steven" shinsou smiles a genuine smile.

Steven smiles back as they sit there in a comfortable silence. A moment later the bell rings and they students go back to class

"aww man"
