*time skip*( a few days since the last chapter)

^In the common room for the the hospitals staff^

"The child has incredible healing abilitys he had several broken bones that healed faster than even recovery girl could have healed them. It's like the bones healed the second they were broken. Which brings us to the point, almost half of the injuries are from before the earthquake, they are older and even if he doesn't realize it now all of this could leave mental scars on him" Dr. Akabane rambled in a worried manner while sitting on a brown couch next to a window. Next to her is the quirk analysis specialist Ronaldo Fryman he has blond hair square glasses and loves analyzing the many mysterious types of quirks.

"Well what do you suggest we do, Dr. Akabane? Send him to a psychologist? If he doesn't even remember getting those injuries or anything much more than his name I really doubt it will do much good, besides when he came for the quirk tests he seemed just fine to me"Dr. Ronaldo states not seeing the point in mental help for steven.

"for that moment he might was, but if he can't remember getting those injuries it is even more of a reason to send him to a Psychologist he still must be upset about it. He had a panic attack when he first realized he didn't know his name! He woke up screaming the last few nights. There might is more to his memory loss. The brain injury has healed by what the scans are telling us, but he still can't remember much, it could be a side effect of someone's quirk or trauma. In either case he will need mental help that I can't provide" Mrs Akabane informs the young specialist to defend her reasoning in a worried manner

"alright you are right he probably should see a Psychologist or at least a therapist then" Mr. Fryman agrees after a moment of rethinking

"Then that is settled. Where you able to datermind what his quirk is already?" The Ginger woman asks the blond.

"As you mentioned earlier he has incredible healing abilitys and that pink gem in his bellybutton. It is like nothing I have ever seen before and I saw a lot of stuff. It is something completely new this diamond influences his body funktions and is with no doubt a part of his quirk, which is why I have decided to call this quirk: Pink Diamond" Ronaldo stands up and makes the imagination pose from spongebob as he says Pink diamond

" Very creative, but could you figure out what else he can do?" Mrs akabane asks raising an eybrow with a small smile

"well diamonds are known to be the strongest type of gem there is. Rumors say they have healing qualities especially in the emotional field. I believe that his quirk will include at least some of this qualities, like the healing for example. But only time will tell just what exactly this boy is capable of, seeing as we don't know what the parents quirks were or if they even had any" Mr. Fryman explains going into full teacher mode

"well it is a start."Dr. Akabane states just as the door to the common room openes and a olderman comes in he has gray hair and wears a suit.

"hello doctor" the man greets

"hello detective inspector Lestrade were you able to find out anything about mystery boys parents?"Mrs. Akabane greetes standing up to be on Mr. Lestrades eye level.

"Well I am actually here because of that. We couldn't find any information on a steven universe it's like he doesn't even exist." The detective inspector explains pinching his nose in tired frustration

"But that can't be possib-" Mrs. Akabane protests

"Actually it is! It would make a lot of sense too! You see there are many quirks known that involve the manipulation of time, space and dimensions. Let's say he and maybe a friend of his were playing around at the beach, alright. If this other person has the ability to send someone back in time and doesn't know how exactly to control this power, it wouldn't be far fetched that there might was a little accident, which lead to the kid ending up at the beach years before his birth" The quirk specialist explans in a fanboy way.

"well I suppose it is possible, in that case we will have to get him registered can you do that detective?" the ginger woman agrees

"Thats not my division" Mr. Lestrade declines thinking of all the paperwork that would involve

"alright then" Mrs. Akabane frowns

"well anyways I also need to see doctor kaitamura, see you soon" The detective states making his way out of the room

"See you soon"the other two wish farewell

"when we are already talking about all of this paperwork we will need to get him into a fosterhome and school and all of that" Mrs Akabane groans at all the extra paperwork it will be

"well I will leave that to you bye!"Ronaldo says goodbye and leaves the room before the question for help could leave the Dr. lips.

Over the last few days steven came to accept that he might won't remember everything that happend. A part of this acceptace was his new psychologist, while it felt weard at first to steven to talk about how he is feeling and what he thinks instead of asking how the others are, steven feels the happiest he has been since he woke up.
He went to some Dr. Fryman that told him his quirks name is pink diamond. Steven felt weard when he was informed about it but couldn't change much about it, also that specialist seemed familiar to steven but he didn't know just why maybe he saw him before?
During a DNA test it came to light that the kid is already 14 and not barely 10 as everyone thought at first thought but that didn't change much.
Steven also made some friends with other patients and is on very good terms with the nurses and doctors. But also as time went on everyone knew his stay at the hospital was slowly coming to an end.
Mrs. Akabane found a safe fosterhome that offered to take the 14 year old in. They made sure that the kids there aren't bullies, for the simple reason that everyone has grown to love steven and no one would want to see him getting bullied for his recently discovered love to stars and the colour pink. But according to the director that won't be a problem at all.

"steven this is Miss Trisha Elric she is the director of the fosterhome you will live in" Dr. Akabane introduced a friendly looking women with brown hair and brownish green eyes in a lavandale cloured dress

"Hi I am steven universe! Nice to meet you"steven introduced himself smiling

" Hello steven nice to meet you too" she smiled back at him.

After a few goodbyes and a lot of hugs and one or two tears from the staff, Steven and Ms. Elric were on the way to the fosterhome/childrens home, with miss Trishas car.

"The other kids are very excited about you my sons have been asking so many questions I couldn't even answer all of them" Trisha chuckled

"I am very excited too, but I am also a little nervous, what if they don't like me?" steven explained his worrys to Trisha after a short hesitation.

"I am very certain they will I might not know you for very long now but I think you will fit right in" Trisha calmed steven with a smile

"I hope so"

The rest of the ride went well, with steven pointing to things outside and asking questions about them even some heros they drove past. Trisha didn't mind the kid asking questions and was in fact enjoying his company. She explained a lot about the world and told him about the other kids he will be living with.

Half an hour later they arrived at a nice looking house on the citys outskirts, it was white with a green door and green window frames. It had a huge garden with two swings, a slide, a big tree that looked good for climbin, a huge flower bed, what seemed like a volleyball net and a lake not to far from the house. Some teens could be seen playing volleyball outside and an old lady was outside watching three younger kids on the swings and slide.

"Hello we are home!" Ms. Elric called out to the kids

"Mom!/Ms. Trisha!" called the kids and teens as they ran to the car, leaving the ball behind forgotten.

"hey everyone there is someone special I want you all to meet! Say hello to the newest member of the family! Steven Universe" Trisha announced to the kids as steven got out of the car.

"uh Hi I am steven" steven introduced himself.

"Hello Steven welcome to the family" A girl that looked around the age of twelve with green hair and brown eyes greeted him "I am Kayano kaede!" she introduced herself

"I will be right back alright" Trisha excused herself and went to the woman that has been watching the kids

"Hi I am Nishinoya yu but you can call me noya" a short boy around 15 with brown eyes and brown hair with the hair at the front beeing blond introduced himself jumping in front of him as they were almost the same hight.

"Hi I am Edwart Eric! Just call me Ed" a young kid around ten with golden eyes and hair along with one hair sticking up like an antenna introduced himself "and this is my little brother Alphonse or Al for short" he introduced a boy around nine with blonde hair and greenish golden eyes

"hello" Al greeted

"hey nice to meet you Steven! I love your shirt! Where can I get one?! Do you like swimming?! I am Nagisa Hatzuki!" another short blond boy with pink eyes around 14 blurred out so fast steven barely understood everything

"Hey everyone back off! You didn't even give him time to memories your names!" another girl with blonde hair and blue eyes around ten stepped in
"I am Winry by the way winry Rockbell"

"It's nice to meet all of you but I might need a little until I memories all your names" steven chuckled nervously

"It's fine I think Nico might still doesn't know all of our names and he lives here for five years now" Kayano said in a joking manner.

"uhm nico?" steven asked completely lost at this point with all the names

"You haven't met him yet he zuko, kayo and and Dick are out grocery shopping" Ed explained

"hey we should show steven around the house!" Al suggests

"yea thats a great idea come on steven!" noya agrees leading the way into the house

"coming!" steven runs after him smiling, followed by the other kids.

Something about this...

"this is the kitchen!" Nagisa announces) opening the door to present a nice blue kitchen with a big table with a bench and chairs surrounding it

"the bathroom!" Nagisa yells opening the door a regular bathroom with a shower in it

"the living room!" Nishinoya yells jumping onto the couch there are three couches an armchair a tv a beanbag a picure of miss. Trisha and another big table surrounded by about 14 chairs and a few fiddle leaf figs and a fireplace.

"the second bathroom!"Nagisa yells as Kayano opens the door after she climbed the stairs to the first floor to show a bigger bathroom with two sinks a toilett and a bath tub with a blue shower curtain.

"Ed's and Al's room!" Noya yells slamming the door open. Steven just got a short glimpse but he saw a bunk bed a table a closet some books and a few posters of a variante of heros

"The little home library!" Ed presents proudly showing a room with lots of different books staked everywhere with a couch a smal table and beanbags.

As they walked to the next room a faint piano music could be heared
"The musik room!"Noya yelled slamming the door open starteling the person playing inside.
The room had a wooden floor with a big piano standing in the middle of it on the side there also stood a violin, a guitar, a ukulele, drums and a music stand
"Yeez you scared me. Noya could you please knock before you come in next time" a boy with black hair blue eyes and black glasses exclaimed seeing noya at the door then his eyes wandered onto steven in his pink shirt "oh hello you must be the new kid I hadn't realized Ms. Trisha and you have arrived already, I am Kousei Arima nice to meet you"the teen introduces himself with a smile

"Hi I am steven universe, nice to meet you too!" steven introduced himself too "you play the piano?!" steven asked with star eyes

"uhm yea I guess you could say so?" Kousei confirmed sheepishly

"ever since he met that girl he hasn't been doing anything else! That lovebird" Noya teased him

"whaa that's not true at all!" kousei defended

"yes it is!" noya insisted

"no it's not" kousei disputes

"yes it is" noya yet again insists

"this might take a some time let's move on" Nagisa whispers to steven as the two of them along with kayano left. Ed Al and Winry stayed to make them stop fighting

" Noyas, Dicks and Kousei's room!" Nagisa shows enthusiastic. The room is the biggest one so far and has a bunk bed and a normal bed one side is wallpapered with posters about volleyball while the other side has just a few ones with some upcoming event at a music theater and several heros the floor was a mess things where laying everywhere while it sure was a little better on the side with only few posters it was still a mess
"moving on!" kayano yells dragging the boys to the next door

"Zuko's and Nicos bedroom!"
The room has two beds it is the most organized so far and has a little fridge next to one bed and a sign saying stay out

"we are actually not supposed to be here so let's move on! " Nagisa whispers like it was a scary story

"Next up is my and kayos room" Kayano explains as they move up another flight of stairs
It is a nice room with lavender colored walls two beds fairy lights a big closet a desk and a lot of drawing utensils laying everywhere around the desk
"oh! it's a mess! Everyone out! I need to tidy up this immediately!" kayano shoos them out
"and finally my room! Or should I say Our room!" Nagisa announces with a smile
"wait what about winrys room?" steven asks before nagisa could open the door.

"oh she actually doesn't live here, she and grandma pinako live in the house a little further down the road" Nagisa explained

"oh okey that makes sense" steven says

"well TaDa!" Nagisa nagisa opens the door showing his room.
The walls are pinkish pastell orange (pastell salmon-colored) with some posters about swimmin, penguins and a bunch of pictures of nagisa and other people on one side of the room. There are glow in the dark stars everywhere on the ceiling and walls. There are two beds that look very confortable and soft. In between the beds is a table with two chairs and a flower vase.
Next to the door is a closet big enough for two over which there were fairy lights and in front of the closet door was a blue beanbag.
The room looked a little bit girlish to say the least.

"I hope you don't mind the stars I tried to get them off from your side of the room but they seem to be stuck there for good." Nagisa laughed sheepishly

"are you kidding me?! This is awesome! And I love the stars!" steven jumps with stars in his eyes

"really?!" nagisa asks lighting up like a Christmas tree

"yeah!"steven smiles

" awesome! I was a bit worried you might won't like it" nagisa said looking at the floor

...feels like...

"what?! Why this is the best room so far!" steven smiled brightly

"whoa why are you crying?!" (steven)

"I am just happy! Whua" (nagisa)

~ten minutes later~

"We are home!" A male voice announced as the front door swung open

"and we bought pizza's!" a female voice revealed gleefully. As four teenagers entered the house with everyone carrying backpacks and s bunch of bags filled with groceries.

Steven along with nagisa, kayano and kousei made they're way downstairs to meet the other teens.

Now in the kitchen steven got a first look at them they are taller then the others he already met. There was a girl with brown hair and brown eyes she had a small smile on her face and also carried 5 pizza boxes she wore a red shirt and blue jeans and red sneakers.

Next to her stood the tallest boy maybe around 17 he had black hair and yellowish brown eyes but what stands out most about him is a scar spreading across his left eye. He is unpacking the things for the fridge.

Then there was a teen with black hair and blue eyes he was a bit shorter than the one with the scar but was still one of the tallest. The kid with blue eyes has an athletic body which is only hardly visible due to his oversized gray hoody. He is trowing some packs of noodles into the shelf with stunning accuracy as if they stood there to begin with.

Suddenly out of the shadow of the girl a pale boy with black hair and black eyes appeared with more bags that seemed to be the heaviest from them all due to the kid stumbeling over and the weight of the bags not allowing him to get back up.
"curse you and your stupid heavy bags" the boy grunted.
He is wearing all black except for a brown leather jacket and a rainbow bracelet on his wrist.

"language nico" the boy with the blue eyes scolds
"jeez dick you are worse than Mrs. Trisha" the on the floor laying nico mutters
"am not, besides we gotta be a good example for the kids " the newly named blue eyed boy 'dick' replied

"heey!!! Did you get me my pudding?!" kayano asks shifting they're attention to kayano, nagisa, kousei and steven for the first time now.

"yea here" the guy with the scar says pulling out some pudding and tossing it to kayano

"yes! yaaas!!!" kayano yells catching it and running to get a spoon to eat it

"I got two free tacos!" nico rises from the floor with two tacos in hand

Everyone shared a laugh at the comotion, only steven didn't exactly get it but thought it was funny anyways

"hey you guys haven't met steven yet have you?" nagisa asks showcasing steven with both of his arms.

"hi I am steven, steven universe" steven smiles and waves awkwardly

"wow hey welcome to the family! I am richard grayson but you can call me dick" dick welcomes smiling from ear to ear.

"hey I am kayo hinazuki, nice to meet you" the girl introduces herself with a warm smile

"thanks nice to meet you too"

" I am nico di angelo what's up?" the boy in the brown jacked introduced himself

"hey"

"hello I am zuko nice to meet you steven" the teen with the scar greets

"hello nice to meet you too" steven smiles

"so is anyone up for pizza?!" nagisa asks opening up all the pizza boxes and taking out a slice of a Peperoni pizza

"hey wait don't just start eating we didn't even finish unpacking yet!" kousei which had started putting the groceries where they belonged scolded nagisa

"but it will get cold until then" nagisa whines

"hmm if we unpack together we will be done before it gets cold" steven suggests to nagisa

"yea I like that idea steven com' on nagisa" dick praises taking the slice out of nagisas hand

"fiiinee" nagisa sighs before helping them unpack.

Within few minutes the kitchen was stocked up with fresh food and had five delicious looking pizzas spread across the table. Everyone is sitting at the table eating, having fun and getting to know steven a bit better just as steven got to know everyone else bit by bit.

And for the first time since he woke up he felt like he finally got...

Hi I hope ya all are enjoying the story so far the next update will follow pretty soon :)

I accidentally published the next chapter instead of saving it because it is not finished yet

If anyone wants to know I pretty much took the "kids" from the foster home from different animies, shows and a book series which I personally really enjoyed if you are bored you can maybe check those out sometime

Steven in future chapters probably won't be exactly the steven we all know so well, because he for his part has a different backstory and different surroundings also he finally gets mental help because I don't want my cinnamon roll to get depressed to much.
He will get very few memories back because I think certain events can trigger old memories even if you long since forgot about them so yea there is that
