Ember POV (The morning you went to the guys' house)

I woke up to someone knocking on the door. I went downstairs to see who it was. I opened the door to see Max standing there.

"Hey, Max!" I said in my normal cheerful voice.

"Don't 'Hey Max!' me," He spat. What's wrong with him?

"urm... are you ok?" I asked cautiously. I don't want to make the situation any worse so I need to think about what to ask carefully.

"I know what you did!" He said. What have I done that is so bad?

"I don't know what you are talking about?"

"Yes, you do! Stop playing dumb!" He replied. I'm not playing dumb I honestly don't know what he is talking about.

"Max just tell me what you're going on about please," I said. I was really confused now and he was slightly scaring me.

Max stepped inside our house. He had a serious look on his face.

"You need to stop helping my Y/N and that Laurance guy get together!" He said seriously, "Or you will have to pay the consequences!" After he said that he left slamming the door behind him.

I was left in a mess of emotions. I was scared, sad, worried and much, much more. What should I do? What would he do? How will Y/N react when I tell her? Should I tell her? I wasn't gonna let Max get in the way of Y/N happiness! I don't care if I get hurt she is my best friend and She has been through too much pain she won't be able to handle anymore.

I heard movement coming from Y/N room. I didn't want her getting hurt by max so I need to keep a close eye on her.

She came out her room shortly after rushing out the door. I hid behind the sofa and she didn't notice me.

She walked over to the guys' house. Oh no! If Max finds out... NO, I will not let her get hurt! I will take the hit! I don't care if he hurts ME I will not let him hurt HER.

Y/N and Aph walked into the house and I looked through an open window. They started talking about fanfics and stuff then Aph and Y/N left to get their laptops. I made sure Y/N didn't see me and followed her back to our house. She grabbed her laptop and went back to the guys' house.

They started writing their stories then they had to read them out. Loverboy (Ember calls Laurance Loverboy to annoy him and Y/N) went first. When he finished I could see Max looking through his window staring at me angrily.

I ran back home and into my room. I heard the door slam open and someone storming up the stairs. The door to my room rushed open and an angry Max stood in the doorway.

"WHAT WERE YOU DOING AT THE GUYS' HOUSE?!" He asked/yelled angrily. "I HOPE Y/N ISN'T THERE!!"

"..." I stayed silent. I didn't want to tell him the truth because he would hurt Y/N but I didn't want to lie because he would do something even more terrible once he found out the truth.

"ANSWER ME!!" He yelled. "OR FACE THE PAIN!" He now had a slight grin on his face.

"..." I still didn't answer him.

"Ember, Ember, Ember...." He tutted walking slowly toward me. His wolf fangs were sharp and his eyes were turning from their normal blue to a dark red. "If you don't answer me you will cause yourself a lot of pain."

I didn't know what to say. My thoughts got cut off by a cold fist hitting my face. Then sharp nails slit through my skin. I looked up to see Max's Eyes a deep red and his hair/ears/tail were a dark blond colour.

He punched me in the stomach and I fell to the ground in tears. He kicked me repeatedly in the stomach then spoke.

"Ember, do you mind telling me now?" He asked as sweetly as he could.

"N-no!" I managed to get out. I wasn't going to risk my best friend getting hurt.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" He asked angrily.

"I-I s-s-said N-NEVER!" I spoke up. I used all my strength to stand up but that was a mistake. I got pushed back down and landed on my tail uncomfortably. I howled in pain and lay there allowing hm to hurt me.

I could hear him cursing under his breath until I sensed Y/N coming. Max must have sensed it too because he fled the house through my window leaving me crying on the floor. Before he left he told me "DON'T TELL ANYONE OR ELSE THERE WILL BE MORE!"

Your POV

I stepped into Ember's room to find her crying on the floor with blood on her face and bruises all over her body.

"OMI !! Ember are you ok?" I panicked rushing over to her.

"Y-Yeah I'm f-fine" She managed to stutter out. Who would have done this to her?

"Ember, you're clearly not fine! Who did this to you?" I asked.

She hesitantly replied with "I-I don't know?"

"What did they look like? Why did they do this?" I asked trying to stay calm.

"T-They had deep red eyes, Dark blond hair, wolf ears and tail." She replied.

A paper aeroplane came flying through the open window. I grabbed it and opened it to reveal a note. It read.

Dear Y/N,

I see you found Ember. What an unfortunate event. If you don't want anything like this to happen again stay away from Laurance Z'vhal! You are MINE, not his!

I didn't know what to think. Who is this person? Why did they do this to Ember? Why do they want ME? Do I know this person?

I helped look after Ember for the rest of the day thinking about who this person could be. Ember insisted that I stayed in the house and once she was better she would escort me to places in case this person attacked again.
