Laurence's P.O.V

As I woke up I had a very bad pain in my back. I tried to stand but, fell before getting the hang of it.

I stood up and changed into my school uniform. I walked downstairs. And saw my dad sleeping with bottles around him.

I quietly walk to the kitchen and grabbed a box of cereal and a bowl from the cabinet. I guess I wasn't quiet enough because my dad came over to me and slapped me in the back of my head.

It hurt a lot. He then started to kick me in the stomach and chest. I wanted to let the tears come out but, I knew I couldn't or it would have been worst...

"You piece of shit!". He yelled as he slapped me across my face then dropped me to the ground. I winced in pain. 'why did he stop...He usually goes on longer'. I thought to myself.

I checked my phone and realized it was Monday. I think I'm the only kid in the world that hates Fridays, Saturday, and ,Sunday. That's only because that's when he beats me the most.

I drag myself off the floor wincing in pain. I decided to skip breakfast and head to school. I put a fake smile once I saw Garroth, my bestfriend. He waved at me I waved back which only brought more pain...

"What's up Laurence". He spoke while hugging me. I tried my best to hide the pain which worked. "Nothing much". I responded. I hated lying to my bestfriend but, I had to...

We walked to school and split up. He went to a baseball meeting. Since he is the captain. I walked to my locker but, was pushed up against it by the one and only Gene, he was the leader of the shadowKnights. They bullied me all the time when Garroth wasn't around.

He punched me in the stomach which already hurt from my father. After awhile of the beating I went to class with that fake, lying, smile on my face. I say down slowly because of the pain.

As I sat down Garroth came back and sat next to me. As we were as. Class was ending Garroth and I were talking.

~time skip to everyone's favorite subject. Lunch~

As we were eating lunch I made sure to stay close to Garroth. Just in case Gene and his gang doesn't come back.

~time skip to end if school~

As school ended me and Garroth walked to the front of the school and talked "Hey you wanna go over my house". Garroth asked. "Yeah sure". I responded. Today I was lucky my dad didn't work into late at night and he would just get drunk again and sleep.

We headed to his house. Once we got there we went to his room. "Hey wanna play some Gamecrab?". He asked me. (lolz only Samgladiator fans will understand) I nodded. And we played for awhile into I just gave up. From me loosing all the time.

"Wanna watch a movie?". He asked. I nodded and he set it up I went to make popcorn. When I came back he had a evil smirk on his face. Which worried me a bit but, I didn't pay to much into it.

As I sat down I realized why he was smirking. The movie he chose. "Charelot's Web" He knows I have this Giant fear of Spiders. As we Watched I hid under the covers. And was shaking.

Garroth P.O.V

As the movie came to an end he was on my lap visibly shaking. it was kinda...cute. I decided to watch an anime and told him to pick it. He chose a anime called fairy tail (for all the fairy tail fans have a cookie) I never seen it. As we Watched like 45 episodes straight I felt a weight on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Laurence's head on my shoulder. He was purring like a kitten. It was cute. I carried him upstairs to my room and set him on the bed lightly.

I got next to him and he snuggled up next to me. His head on my chest and my arms wrapped around him. I slowly dozed off with him.
