Shoto Todoroki

The first two graduates that stepped out of Aizawa's teachings went to become sidekicks alongside other villains and everyone praised Shota for his teaching skills seeing as those two became some of the best there was.

When certain villains heard of the rumor they decided to recommend their students to be taught by villain classes instead of teaching them themselves. The first to come was Endeavor with a thirteen boy walking silently behind him.

"Endeavor," Aizawa greeted in the arranged meeting place... a foreclosed store with no windows. The stuffy air hung in the air and a thick layer of dust sat on the floor.

"Eraserhead," Endeavor responded coldly not offering a hand to shake. Shoto Todoroki studied the man in front of his father and narrowed his eyes, the man wasn't what he was expecting. Aizawa's hair was a mess and sat over his eyes ungroomed, his entire aesthetic was unimpressive accounting for his dark clothes and nonchalant posture.

"And you must be Shoto," Aizawa greeted offering a hand. Shoto took it slowly.

"Yes," Shoto nodded in a steady tone.

Aizawa's hand jolted back and touched his ear where Shoto spotted an ear receiver.

"What?" Aizawa asked his voice strained. He looked to Endeavor, "Are you sure no one followed you?"

"Of course," Endeavor sneered.

Aizawa listened to his earpiece again, after a few moments he looked to Endeavor. "The heroes are on to us, we have to leave."

"Leave?" Endeavor asked. "My sidekicks are positioned all around the city, they'll stop anything before it gets within a mile of us."

"Well... they didn't," Aizawa answered coldly, tapping his receiver.

"Izu, get me an escape route," Aizawa ordered.

There was an explosion that threw the door off its hinges and allowed light to enter the room.

"Freeze villains," a hero smiled entering the room, Shoto spotted many more behind him. The boy tensed and his side grew cold to the touch.

Endeavor smiled, "Shoto, it's time to show your new instructor your training."

"How about a better idea," Aizawa stated coldly, something fell to the floor and there was more light behind Shoto and Endeavor. Before Shoto could look back he felt something wrap around him and was jerked upwards and through a trapdoor. He found himself on the roof, Aizawa next to him.

Endeavor let loose a full flame attack at the heroes before him. "Are you fleeing Eraserhead?" Endeavor laughed.

"My first job is to get the kid to safety, besides, you tend to do better when you don't have people getting in your way," Shoto sensed that there was an underlying tone of scorn in Aizawa's voice.

"Very well, good luck Shoto, train hard," Endeavor dismissed preparing the next attack. Shoto didn't respond.

"Izu, how is that escape route going?" Shota asked as the two of them stood on the roof.

"The building to your left has an elevator shaft that leads to the roof; if you can get to the roof you'll be able to jump over the danger. Present Mic and Midnight have your getaway prepared on the corner of 4rth street and Broadneck ave," Izuku responded over the frequency.

"Careful, according to the encrypted messages we intercepted... there are some real powerhouses hunting you," Hitoshi gritted.

"What's our plan?" Shoto asked, not hearing the voices in Aizawa's ear.

"Follow me," Shota ordered.

Shoto followed Shota over the roof jumping into another building through an open window. They ran through the hallways startling citizens who scrambled out of the way. Shota kept talking to someone through his earpiece.

"How am I supposed to get into the elevator?" Shota asked.

"Uh... make a right," Izuku answered quickly.

Back at the safe house, he was studying the blueprints on the computer while watching Shota's body camera.

"Aizawa, to the left!" Hitoshi warned.

Shota grabbed Shoto and pulled him out of the way as a knife embedded into the wall beside them. Shoto looked shocked but Shota tensed as he saw their attacker. The disguise melted off her like mud revealing a typical civilian to actually be a young girl with golden hair and a large smile.

"That's Himiko Toga! One of the best heroes... it's strange, she's usually an infiltrator," Izuku muttered.

"Hey you two, it's so nice to finally meet her Eraserhead," Toga grinned. Shoto prepared to engage but was wrapped up by Shota's scarf and dragged down the hallway.

"Awww! Come Back!" Toga cried.

"We need to take her out!" Shoto yelled breaking free of the scarf but still following Aizawa obediently.

"And who do you think is coming behind her; if one person of the Vanguard Action Squad is here, most likely they're all here," Shota gritted stopping at the old elevator shaft. He pried it open while Shoto made a wall of ice to block anyone from following.

Shota looked up and threw his scarf to the top where it wrapped around a pipe at the top of the shaft. Suddenly the air vent above the hallway they were in loosened and fell out. Mr.Compress landed in front of Shoto, too close and quickly for Shoto to throw an ice attack to defend himself. Mr. Compress reached out to compress the boy but was kicked in the face by Shota who then grabbed Shoto and hauled him to the top of the elevator shaft.

They scrambled up the elevator shaft quickly, Aizawa internally cursing because of course, this couldn't be easy.

Finally, when they reached the roof, someone was waiting for them; something. It was a smaller nomu then usual but still, the mere sight of it made Shota and Shoto freeze for a moment.

"Shit," Hitoshi breathed. He knew all too well what those things were capable of; suddenly he heard the dying shrieks of his classmates all over again. "Mr. Aizawa, get out of there."

"Head east, you're on high ground and should be able to move quicker than him," Izuku recommended, panic in his voice.

The nomu moved, it moved quickly with help from a quirk and came rushing for Shota.

"A speed quirk!" Izuku cried.

"No!" Hitoshi gritted standing up as he watched the screen,

Ice came between Shota and the nomu as Shoto intervened. This made the black nomu turn to him and lunge for him. The nomu collided with Shoto, throwing him off his feet. Then, Shota leaped onto the nomu making it stumble. The black-haired man began to fight the beast and discovered that it was weaker then the others he had fought, this one could be killed rather easily.

"What's going on?" Katsuki asked entering the room and looked at where Hitoshi and Izuku were standing.

"Mr. Aizawa is in trouble," Izuku gritted. Katsuki walked up and watched the screen intently.

"Damn ugly brain bastards," Katsuki snarled, recognizing the beast.

"Yeah... but I think this one is a stealth nomu... I imagine that there are many types and this one was made for ambushes... unfortunately for it, so is Mr. Aizawa," Izuku answered his tone even.

"Translate the nerd, Lavender," Katsuki ordered of Hitoshi.

"This nomu was made to ambush people; it's small, dark-colored, fast, and the claws make for quick killing power, because of that, however, it can be assumed that the nomu wasn't given as many physical abilities or shock absorption, it probably doesn't possess much armor either, which means that Aizawa can deal with this fight," Hitoshi answered watching the screen intently.

"So, Aizawa can stab it easier," Katsuki supposed.

"Yes," Izuku nodded.

Every villain carried a knife or a gun, nomu's were immune to most quirks and so the villains had to rely on other weapons.

The nomu lunged for Aizawa again, Aizawa reached into his belt, pulled out a gun, and fired it. The shot echoed through the city and the nomu fell with a thump at Aizawa's feet, it's blood pudding around it. Shoto looked in shock, his father had never used a weapon other than his quirk.

Aizawa gave a sigh and then looked to Shoto.

"Let's go," he ordered running and jumping onto the next rooftop. Shoto followed hearing the sirens that seemed to echo through the streets below them. They ran for a bit heading east until Izuku cried out.

"Aizawa, Mic just sent me a message, he says don't come. Apparently, he and Midnight have to retreat, too many heroes," Izuku cried. Aizawa stopped and swore.

"What is it?" Shoto asked.

"Hey Izu, where's the nearest-" Aizawa began. There was a shot and Aizawa stumbled, hit in the arm. He swore.

"AIZAWA!" all three boys at the safe house yelled. Aizawa grabbed Shoto as another shot rang out and jumped down the side of the building landing in a pile of trash bags - thank heaven for small miracles. It could've been cement.

"Eraserhead!" Shouto cried scrambling off the pro hero. Aizawa coughed and pushed himself to his feet, and then collapsed.

"Aizawa!" Izuku cried.

"Where'd that come from!" Katsuki hissed.

"A sniper I would suppose, maybe a homing quirk," Hitoshi gritted.

"Aizawa!" Izuku cried again.

"Aizawa where were you hit?" Hitoshi asked remaining calm.

Aizawa smiled and looked up to Shoto who looked rather shocked, "Izu, find me the fastest way out of this hell hole."

"Aizawa are you okay!" Izuku asked frantically. Aizawa wheezed and leaned on a wall.

"It's in the back," Katsuki realized. "He ate one in the back for half-&-half over there, after he took the first one in the arm."

"Where were you hit!" Hitoshi cried.

"Izu. How can I get out of here?" Aizawa ordered.

"You could... the sewers," Izuku realized in a stroke of brilliance. "I can get the blueprints and navigate you through the sewers."

"Good," Aizawa nodded. "Now listen close, I need you to get Todoroki out of here-"

"NO!" both Izuku and Hitoshi yelled, fully understanding what was going on.

Shoto stood there wondering what Aizawa was talking about and how the people on the other side were reacting, he wondered who the people on the other side were.

"Izu. Hito. listen to me, I will be fine but if we stick together we'll be in more danger-" Aizawa wheezed.

"Not unless you go with him," Hitoshi growled.

"You have to come back!" Izuku cried.

Aizawa gritted his teeth and pushed his back against the wall harder feeling the blood run down his back, he had jumped in front of Shoto knowing that the next shot would be for him. He didn't regret it... but he wished he could have avoided it. Slowly he took off his camera and yanked his headpiece out, the defiant yells of Hitoshi and Izuku fading away. He looked up to Shoto and handed him the devices.

"Listen to them, they'll get you out of here and to the safe house," Aizawa ordered.

"And you?" Shoto asked slowly.

"I can find another way," Aizawa stated. It was a lie. "You'll move quicker without me and if we split up we both stand more of a chance. Just plug them in and listen."

Shoto reluctantly agreed and attached the earpiece to himself.

"Aizawa, there has to be another way!" one voice yelled.

"Don't do this!" another cried frantically.

"If you're caught, there's no coming back, you know that don't you?" another colder voice asked.

"Hello?" Shoto asked.

"Damn, he already handed the earpiece off," the first one gritted.

"Here," Aizawa sighed attaching the clip-on camera to Shoto's collar. "Just listen to them."

Shoto nodded and the voices went quiet.

"Damn," the third one gritted.

"Izu, we can't change his mind now," the first one sighed.

"I know," the second voice, apparently named Izu, sighed. He heard typing as he assumed this 'Izu' typed something on a computer. Meanwhile, Aizawa opened the sewer manhole and looked around cautiously. Blood was running down his back and arm.

"Alright Shoto," the first voice sighed, "once you get down there you want to make a left."

Shoto was slightly bothered that the boy had begun using his first name when he didn't even know the boy's name.

"Go, quickly," Aizawa hissed turning to the street.

(Y'all, can I tell you how annoying it is to type Shota and Shoto in the same sentence. Honestly, I'm thinking of just using Aizawa's last name from now on... but like... that would be awkward because I'm using everyone else's first name.

ANYWAY! I hope you liked it and don't hate me for the cliff-hanger. I'll probably publish the next chapter soon.

Have a good day/night! BYE!)
