Parents:
Friedrich IV (Father)
Wilhelmina Strasse (Mother)
Symbol:
Background: Born in the year 1956 in Berlin, German Empire, just 2 years after the 'Final Conflict', Leopold von Hohenzollern is once an Arch-Nephilim and now an Archangel. He is the younger son of Friedrich IV – the Kaiser of the Deutsches Kaiserreich, a former Nephilim and now an Archangel – and Wilhelmina Strasse – the Kaiserin of the Deutsches Kaiserreich. He is the younger twin brother to Charlotte von Hohenzollern, and the grandson of Osman and Viktoria. He is also Neo Angelo's nephew and Soren Angelo's cousin. Additionally, Leopold is Sophiel and Alexandrael's nephew, and Wilhelm and Adolf's cousin – who are the sons of Falken Gustav, Armina von Hohenzollern, and Maria Annabelle.
From the moment he drew his first breath, Prince Leopold von Hohenzollern was destined for greatness. Like his equally brilliant and enigmatic mother, Wilhelmina Strasse, Leopold exhibited prodigious intellectual abilities that marked him as a true child prodigy, a cut above the rest.
Growing up amidst the opulent and prestigious halls of the Imperial Palace, Leopold's education was a top priority from the moment he could walk and talk. His rigorous curriculum, overseen by the finest tutors in the Empire, challenged his exceptional mind, covering a vast range of subjects – from the sciences and mathematics to strategic military history and the intricacies of Imperial governance. Even as a young boy, Leopold devoured knowledge with an insatiable thirst, his aloof and detached demeanor belying the lightning-fast workings of his brilliant mind.
By the tender age of 5, when Leopold had already grown his first wings, he had surpassed the intellectual capabilities of his peers by a significant margin. Driven by a relentless ambition and a desire to further the interests of the German Empire, the young Nephilim immersed himself in his studies with a singularity of focus that often left those around him astonished.
At just 6 years old, Leopold and his older twin sister, Charlotte, had become junior researchers and assistants in their mother's laboratory, both in the Kaiserreich (Group 935) and the UN (UNDF R&D Department) universes. Under Wilhelmina's watchful gaze, the siblings delved into the realms of dark magic and technomancy, contributing to their mother's groundbreaking work in these esoteric fields. Leopold's prodigious talents and his mother's unique "One-Word" language, shared only with her closest kin, became vital tools in his intellectual development.
While his peers were still grappling with the basics, Leopold's keen intellect and analytical prowess often surpassed that of seasoned academics and researchers, such as Ellen Zoe and even his own mother, Wilhelmina. He pored over dense tomes and technical manuals, absorbing information with a rapidity that astounded all who witnessed it, his regal bearing and emotional detachment reinforcing his image as a cerebral, hyper-rational individual.
Yet, beneath the cool exterior, flashes of intensity and passion could occasionally be glimpsed – a reflection of the formidable personalities that had shaped him, from the Prussian monarchs to the great military strategists of history. As Leopold grew, his ambition and thirst for power began to solidify, laying the foundation for the influential role he would one day play in shaping the destiny of the German Empire and, indeed, the entire worlds of two universes.
From a young age, Sophiel, Alexandrael, Charlotte, Leopold, Wilhelm, and Adolf were enrolled in the prestigious Kriegsakademie in Berlin, the crown jewel of the German Empire's military education system, where they received intensive training in military history, strategy, and combat techniques. The Kriegsakademie, founded in 1810 and modeled after the renowned École Militaire in Paris, was renowned for its uncompromising curriculum and its commitment to producing the most skilled and disciplined military leaders in all of Europe. Additionally, the academy was also known for its uncompromising curriculum and its commitment to instilling the values of discipline, honor, and unwavering loyalty in its students.
In addition to the military and scientific training, Charlotte and Leopold also studied at the prestigious Humboldt University of Berlin, where they quickly established a reputation as true polymaths. While continuing their roles as junior researchers and assistants to their mother, as well as cadets of the Kriegsakademie, Charlotte and Leopold excelled in a wide range of academic disciplines, from the humanities to the natural sciences.
Their professors were amazed by their abilities to grasp complex concepts with ease and their insatiable thirst for knowledge. Charlotte and Leopold often contributed original ideas and research to their coursework, frequently surpassing the expectations of their instructors. The Royal twins became known for their interdisciplinary approach, seamlessly integrating insights from various fields to solve problems and push the boundaries of human understanding.
Despite the demands of their royal duties and scientific work, Charlotte and Leopold devoted themselves wholeheartedly to their studies at the Humboldt University. The twins spent long hours in the library, poring over ancient texts and the latest scholarly publications, always seeking to expand the frontiers of their knowledge.
This multifaceted approach to Charlotte and Leopold's upbringing has imbued them with a unique blend of skills and perspectives. The twins are not only brilliant strategists and tacticians, but also cutting-edge researchers and well-rounded scholars, capable of navigating the complexities of Imperial governance and the rapidly evolving technological and scientific landscape.
Because of this, Kuro created the alter egos of Charlotte and Leopold to assist them, in which Charlotte named her alter ego Kanade, and Leopold named his alter ego Yukio.
The moment Leopold stepped onto the Kriegsakademie's grounds, he was subjected to a regimen of training that bordered on the inhumane. The Kriegsakademie's curriculum was designed to push its students to the absolute limits of their physical and mental capabilities. The training regimen at the Kriegsakademie was notoriously brutal, even for the most seasoned of soldiers. Leopold's days were filled with rigorous and relentless drills, punishing physical exercises, intensive wargaming exercises and simulations, and in-depth studies of military history and strategy that pushed him to the brink of endurance.
Grueling physical drills, overseen by seasoned Prussian drill sergeants, pushed the young Nephilim to the very limits of his endurance. Forced marches through treacherous terrain for miles on end, carry heavy loads of equipment, and engaged in hand-to-hand combat training that left him bloodied and battered, and rigorous weapons handling exercises that tested his reflexes to the breaking point – there was no respite, no quarter given. It was all done under the tutelage of the Archangels, specifically Michael, Osman, and Lucifer, including Neo Angelo and the Russian general werewolf called Koshkov Zegrath.
Alongside the punishing physical ordeals, Leopold's academic curriculum was equally unforgiving. He was immersed in the study of military history, strategy, and tactics, expected to master complex battle maneuvers and command decisions with a speed and precision that defied his young age. Regular examinations and simulations subjected him to immense psychological stress, forcing him to think and react under the constant threat of failure.
Failure, in the uncompromising world of the Kriegsakademie, was not an option. Mistakes were met with harsh consequences as instructors were known to employ harsh disciplinary measures, including corporal punishment, to ensure that their students were forged into the perfect embodiment of Prussian military might. Leopold learned quickly that any sign of weakness would not be tolerated – only the strongest and most resolute would emerge victorious from this crucible of military training.
The toll on the young prince's body and mind was immense, as he endured relentless drills, exhausting exercises, and the constant pressure to perform at the highest level. Yet, through sheer force of will and his prodigious intellectual gifts, Leopold rose to the challenge, his physical prowess and strategic acumen honed to a razor's edge under the unforgiving tutelage of the Kriegsakademie's staff. The instructors, including the mentioned Archangels of Heaven, showed no mercy, pushing the young Nephilim to the very limits of his physical and mental capabilities, intent on molding her into a fearless and unstoppable force on the battlefield. And he excelled in this demanding environment, quickly rising to the top of his class and earning the respect and admiration of his instructors.
Many of Leopold's fellow students succumbed to the rigors of the training, some even losing their lives in the process. But the Prince remained undaunted, driven by an unrelenting determination to excel and to prove him worth as a future military leader of the German Empire.
This militaristic mindset, combined with his exceptional intelligence and strategic acumen, made Leopold a formidable presence, both on the battlefield and in the corridors of power. He was able to seamlessly blend the rigors of military discipline with the nuances of political maneuvering, allowing him to anticipate and outmaneuver his opponents with a ruthless efficiency that was reminiscent of the great Prussian generals of the past.
As Leopold progressed through his military training at the Kriegsakademie, the regimen only grew more punishing and unforgiving with each passing year.
By the time he entered his teenage years, the young Nephilim prince found himself subjected to an onslaught of physical and psychological trials that tested the limits of endurance. Gone were the days of mere physical drills and wargaming simulations; now, Leopold was subjected to a relentless gauntlet of harrowing exercises that tested the very boundaries of his family's supernatural abilities' capability. The daily drills and exercises became increasingly arduous, with the Prussian drill sergeants driving their cadets to the brink of collapse through sheer force of will.
Grueling marches through the rugged terrain surrounding Berlin were extended for mile after grueling mile, the young men's frames wracked with exhaustion as they struggled to keep pace. Hand-to-hand combat training escalated in intensity, with the instructors employing brutal submission holds and strikes that left Leopold and his fellow students battered and bruised
The young Nephilim Princess was forced to undergo extended wilderness survival training, where he, his older twin sister, aunts, and cousins were abandoned in remote, unforgiving terrain of Russia, both UN Russia and the Russian Empire during the military training exchange, and left to fend for themselves for days, even weeks or months, on end. Deprived of food, water, and any creature comforts, they were compelled to push their bodies to the brink of collapse, navigating treacherous terrain, evading predators such as demons, and relying solely on their wits and their military training to stay alive.
In addition to these grueling survival exercises, Leopold was also made to participate in high-intensity combat drills that often resulted in severe injuries. Instructors would pit him, his sister, aunts, cousins, and fellow students against each other in brutal hand-to-hand combat sessions, using live ammunition and employing tactics designed to mimic the chaos and brutality of the battlefield under the supervision of Koshkov Zegrath – a Russian General who is a veteran, a werewolf, and a valuable asset to the UN as its personnel.
But the true test of their mettle came in the weapons handling exercises, where a single misstep could mean the difference between life and death. Cadets were expected to master the intricate workings of a wide array of firearms with lightning-fast reflexes, their skills honed through constant practice and live-fire drills that left no room for error.
The academic curriculum, too, grew ever more demanding, with complex battle simulations and strategic scenarios that pushed the students to their mental limits. Leopold found himself poring over dense tomes of military history and theory, his mind stretched to its limits as he grappled with the nuances of battlefield tactics and command decision-making.
Failure, in this crucible of martial excellence, was simply not tolerated. Instructors ruthlessly weeded out the weak, subjecting those who faltered to grueling physical punishments, and in some cases, outright expulsion from the Kriegsakademie.
Many of Leopold's classmates were unable to withstand the sheer ferocity of these training regimens, succumbing to their wounds or simply buckling under the immense physical and mental strain. But the Prince, driven by an unwavering determination to excel and a deep-seated belief in the power of the German military, refused to yield.
Leopold, driven by his unquenchable ambition and an unwavering dedication to the Kaiserreich, refused to be broken by the relentless onslaught. He pushed himself to the very limits of his capability, his body and mind forged in the crucible of this unforgiving training regime.
Day after day, week after week, Leopold and the others pushed themselves to the brink of collapse, refusing to show any sign of weakness or fear. Their instructors, once skeptical of their abilities, were now awestruck by their unwavering fortitude and their uncanny ability to adapt and thrive in the most punishing of environments, even Koshkov was a little bit impressed as Leopold and his family earned his respect little by little.
This unrelenting training, coupled with his exceptional intellect and strategic prowess, forged Leopold into a true force to be reckoned with – a military prodigy whose skills and tenacity were unmatched by even the most seasoned veterans of the German armed forces. By the time he reached the pinnacle of his studies, Leopold had transformed into a living embodiment of Prussian military prowess – a strategist of unparalleled brilliance and a warrior whose skills were honed to a razor's edge.
At the tender age of 16, he and his sister graduated from the prestigious Humboldt University of Berlin, having not only completed their studies with the highest honors, but also earning multiple advanced degrees in a diverse range of fields as their transformation into formidable young intellectuals and researchers became even more pronounced. Additionally, after graduating from the Kriegsakademie, Leopold embarked on the next phase of his path to becoming the future leader of the German Empire.
As Prince Leopold advanced through his studies at the university, his reputation as a true polymath only grew more formidable. His professors marveled at his ability to effortlessly synthesize insights from a vast array of academic disciplines, consistently pushing the boundaries of intellectual discourse. While maintaining his role as a junior researcher and assistant to his mother, Wilhelmina, Leopold's contributions to her groundbreaking work were invaluable, showcasing his strategic brilliance and military acumen.
With the transition into his teenage years, Leopold's aloof and emotionally detached demeanor, so reminiscent of his mother, became even more pronounced. He grew increasingly withdrawn, retreating into solitary contemplation to delve deeper into his arcane studies and esoteric research. The "One-Word" language that he and Charlotte shared with Wilhelmina became an integral part of their coded communication, allowing them to discuss their occult work in absolute secrecy.
Despite his young age, Leopold's commanding presence and sheer intellectual prowess were undeniable. He carried himself with an unmistakable air of regal bearing and authority that belied his years, a product of his rigorous upbringing and the weight of his imperial lineage. His sharp wit, incisive analysis, and cunning political maneuvering were the stuff of legend among his peers and superiors. Even in social settings, Leopold maintained a graceful yet unapproachable aura, skillfully deflecting any attempts to truly get close to him. Underneath his cool exterior, however, simmered a ruthless ambition and thirst for power, fueled by the legacies of his illustrious ancestors.
Concurrently, Charlotte and Leopold attended the prestigious Royal Prussian Academy of Sciences, where the twins indulged their scientific ambitions and intellectual curiosity that they had inherited from their mother. At the academy, the Royal twins immersed themselves in a rigorous course of study, delving deep into fields such as mathematics, engineering, and the natural sciences. Their thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and they quickly established themselves as two of the brightest minds of their generation, earning the admiration of their professors and their fellow students alike.
Prince Leopold's dual-track education, encompassing both the pragmatic realities of political leadership and the boundless potential of scientific exploration, perfectly complemented his unique talents and insatiable ambitions. He excelled in both realms, seamlessly blending his military expertise, his strategic brilliance, and his intellectual prowess to become a truly formidable and multifaceted individual.
As Leopold approached the completion of his studies, his reputation as a rising star within the German Empire only continued to grow, with many within the royal court and the upper echelons of the military eagerly anticipating the day when he would assume his rightful place as the supreme military commander of the German people. His superiors marveled at his unparalleled tactical acumen, his ruthless pragmatism, and his absolute commitment to the expansion and preservation of the Reich's power.
Behind his regal bearing and cool, calculating demeanor, Leopold harbored a burning desire for glory and an unyielding ambition to carve his name into the annals of history. He viewed his scientific and academic pursuits not merely as an intellectual exercise, but as a means to enhance his strategic capabilities and technological advantage over rival powers. Leopold's aloof and emotionally distant persona, a product of his rigorous upbringing, only served to heighten the aura of mystery and authority that surrounded him.
In the eyes of his admirers, Leopold embodied the very pinnacle of the Prussian warrior-scholar tradition – a paragon of discipline, intellect, and martial prowess, destined to lead the German Empire to new heights of power and glory. As he prepared to take his place on the world stage, the young prince's gaze was fixed firmly on the horizon, his sights set on the realization of his grand, uncompromising vision for the future.
At the age of 18, Leopold and Charlotte were forced to postpone their studies at the Royal Prussian Academy of Sciences when their family, especially their grandparents, father, and aunt, had them enlisted and join the Vanguard Squad after their cousin, Soren, and his friends graduated from the academies. From there, Leopold was the strategist and tactician of the team, and occasionally one of the big brothers of the team as he had a deep brotherly relationship and comradeship with Soren. Originally, the Vanguard Squad once had 8 members, comprising: Soren Angelo, Tanya von Gregor, Moroha Li Shen, Sophiel von Hohenzollern, Wilhelm von Hohenzollern, Adolf von Hohenzollern, and finally, Leopold and his sister, Charlotte von Hohenzollern. The Vanguard Squad slowly and surely grew from a bunch of mismatched misfits to become one of the most combat effective squads in the United Nations during 1974 – 1979 in the Kaiserreich universe, which in the UN universe is 2050 – 2055.
In five years, the Vanguard Squad had been responsible for dealing with threats that still lingered around, along with the resurgent group of the Illuminati. During that time, in 1976, the 20-year-old Leopold found himself accidentally teleported to another world in another universe during his Angelic training. After calming and recomposing himself, Leopold attempted to go home before he was confronted by something after a golden lightning struck from behind him, casting a shadow, causing him to turn around, and stare in shock and surprise when he saw an enormous giant, something akin to a Titan he had heard from his grandfather Osman, in size with light hair, a typically female figure, and long, protruding ribs, and its face possessed no apparent skin, musculature or eyes, leaving only a visible skull. Thinking it was hostile, Leo draws his sword and unfurls his wings to prepare to strike in case it attacks him or goes on a rampage. But, to his surprise, he saw the monster was kneeling at something.
Feeling something amiss, Leo decides to investigate when he turns invisible as he flies towards where the Titan was kneeling. Several minutes later, the young Nephilim discovered that this Titan was just a 10-year-old girl named Ymir, and found out that she was a slave to a barbaric warlike tribe called Eldia after he talked her out for information and interrogated an Eldian hunter after he had killed the hunters and flayed and tortured the man to death. Upon arriving at the Eldian village tribe, Leopold wasted no time as he destroyed the wooden wall and settlements, freeing the slaves, and killed every last of the soldiers, guards, and slavers as he mercilessly and brutally massacred them, sparing no mercy to men, women, and children. Then, Leo tortured and flayed the leader of the tribe, a self-proclaimed king called Fritz, to death.
In the aftermath, Leopold quickly healed the slaves by healing their wounds, injuries, and regrowing their lost tongues. He then gave each of them a bag of gold to compensate them for not saving them earlier, and offered them to go somewhere else and start a new life, in which the freed slaves thanked Leopold for his kind, benevolent, and generous heart and quickly ran in joy that they are finally free from their slavery... All except for Ymir as she stood in front of him.
When Leo asked her why she did not join them, Ymir told him that she wanted to stay with him with a tearful look and said that she is now alone since her parents had died and there is no one else she can rely on. Hearing this, Leopold offered her to stay with him at his home, where he will adopt her as his daughter, granting her the title of princess, and he promised her that he will always see her as his own daughter and will never leave her alone. With that, Leopold soon opened a portal and took Ymir back to his home, leaving behind the flayed corpse of Fritz that is still tied on the X-shaped cross with the banner of House of Hohenzollern next to it, along with the destroyed and ruined village tribe that is filled with the dead slavers and soldiers.
After returning home, Leo was greeted by the worried Charlotte and his team. However, they quickly turned confused to see Ymir, with the little girl hiding behind the prince's leg in fear. Wasting no time, Leopold told the team that they would have a family meeting in the Berlin Royal Palace as he asked Soren to call his parents over.
Once the family was gathered at the Palace, Leopold started to retell the story of how he had landed in an alternate world during the ancient time in another universe, how he had discovered Ymir, and the following events where he had murdered Ymir's slavers in cold blood, while freeing the slaves and giving them gold to start a new life.
Then, he revealed that Ymir had supernatural powers, which the blonde-haired girl demonstrated when she bit her hand and transformed into a Titan at an open field, after struggling to find how this power worked. Alarmed by this, Leopold's uncle, Neo Angelo, quickly used his Primordial powers and found the source of the power. After Leo asked Neo to do it, the Primordial God wasted no time and used his powers to pull the source, a spinal-worm like creature, out of Ymir's spine as he then healed her and held the creature in a glass jar.
Once done, Neo asked his nephew what he would do with Ymir now, in which Leo shocked and surprised his family by stating that he would adopt her, making her his daughter and a Princess of the Empire. Though unsure at first, Neo decided to allow Ymir to live in their universe, with Leo's parents having the final say on whether to adopt the girl into the family or not. Of course, Friedrich IV and Wilhelmina Strasse agreed and took her in as one of their own.
Meanwhile, Leo's grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends questioned whether it was alright for him to adopt Ymir as his own. When Leo stated that he was determined to give her a normal life, they all pitched in to help Ymir recover from her trauma and PTSD, and to help her adjust to her new life - a better life for her. Ymir quickly burst into tears of joy and called Leo her Papa, igniting the fatherly love and paternal feelings within Leopold as he saw her as his own daughter.
At the ages between 21 and 23, Charlotte, Leopold, Alexandrael, Wilhelm, and Adolf had to leave the team in order to continue and complete their studies. In his spare time, Leopold would spend playing with Ymir as he helped her heal and recover from the psychological trauma she had endured as a slave, and helped her adapt to her new life. Leo had to stifle a laugh when he saw how Ymir was shocked and dumbfounded before being amazed at the modern and futuristic worlds and their technological advancements, especially since both factions had the capabilities to go and explore the stars – an understandable reaction, given that Ymir was born in the ancient time of her homeworld.
But, he had to laugh when his aunt Armina pranked the little girl with the simplest trick that no one could be fooled by – a rubber snake, to which the girl yelped and screamed in fear. Nonetheless, Leopold was happy to see how Ymir slowly, but surely, recovered from her trauma and became a beautiful maiden upon reaching her teenage years over the years. Additionally, his family also helped her, and even turned her into a Parautilitarian, making her an Omega level Parautilitarian to protect herself and her family from the looming threat.
After Leopold and Charlotte graduated from the Royal Prussian Academy of Sciences, Charlotte determined to rejoin the Vanguard Squad as the Second-in-Command, but Leopold refused to join back due to having reasons of his own, including the fact that he had to stay behind to govern the Empire and look after his adopted daughter, while Charlotte was away. Despite not showing emotions, Charlotte felt sad and disappointed that her younger twin brother wouldn't return to the team when he had proven himself to be an excellent commander like her, but she respected her brother's choice and decision when she felt that Leo felt more at home, which led him to become the youngest Chancellor of the German Empire at the age of 23. Not to mention, Charlotte knew her brother had to look after his daughter. The same goes for her cousin, Wilhelm, when he also refused to rejoin the team for the same reason her brother had, as he would marry Princess Hanako Kaguya of the Japanese Empire, but she was somewhat glad, relieved, and happy to see Alexandrael and Adolf rejoin the team after graduation.
However, if Leo wanted to admit, the greatest success he had achieved in his life was marrying his crush and lover, Ellen Zoe. Despite the age gap (Leo: 23 and Ellen: 64), Leo had a crush on her when he was 8, back when he was a junior researcher. At first, he dismissed it as just a childish crush, but as he grew and matured, he started to recognize his romantic feelings for the absent-minded scientist, leading him to confess his feelings to her when he turned 23, after he became the Chancellor. And, obviously, Ellen felt embarrassed at first and thought it was inappropriate that he would love a woman who was old enough to be his grandmother, since Ellen saw him more like a nephew. However, after he expressed his wish to court her, she decided to give it a shot. Two years later, after much courting and dating, both recognized their romantic affection and feelings towards each other, leading them to happily marry when Leopold was 25 and Ellen was 66, starting a family with Ymir, now a 15-year-old, as their daughter.
In the present day, Leopold continues to fight for the UNDF, the ICC, and their allies against the forces of evil, doing everything possible to keep the peace that his parents and families had fought for, while continuing his role as the Prince and the Chancellor of the German Empire, as well as a husband and father to his family.
Personality: Prince Leopold von Hohenzollern is a complex and multifaceted individual, shaped by the legacies of his powerful lineage. At his core, he is very much a product of his brilliant but distant parents, Friedrich IV and Wilhelmina's deeply introverted and aloof nature, as well as the eccentricities and ambition of his eccentric scientific genius great-grandfather, Wilhelm Strasse. Leopold has inherited a potent blend of traits, the same as his older twin sister, Crown Princess Charlotte.
Prince Leopold carries himself with a regal bearing that commands attention the moment he enters a room. His movements are graceful and purposeful, a product of his rigorous upbringing and the weight of his illustrious lineage. One cannot help but feel a sense of awe in his presence, for he embodies the very essence of the Prussian monarchy.
Like his parents, Leopold exudes an air of cool detachment and disinterest in social niceties. He is an introverted figure, preferring the solace of intellectual pursuits over human interaction. Leopold has perfected the art of the terse, "One-Word" language, dispassionate response, making it abundantly clear that he has little patience for small talk or frivolous conversation. His interactions with others are often laced with an underlying sense of condescension, as if he views the vast majority of people as intellectually inferior to himself, which is not true since he, much like his mother and twin sister, doesn't view people as inferior to him. It's just how he, his twin sister, and mother interacted with people.
However, beneath this icy exterior lies a brilliant mind, one that has been honed and sharpened by his rigorous education and exposure to his family's cutting-edge research. Leopold has also been deeply shaped by the ambitious and driven nature of his great-grandfather, Wilhelm Strasse. He has inherited his great-grandfather's boundless intellectual curiosity and single-minded pursuit of scientific discovery. Leopold is a true polymath, excelling in fields ranging from biology and chemistry to physics and technomancy, with an innate understanding of science, technology, and the occult that rivals even his great-grandfather's legendary accomplishments.
Much like Wilhelm Strasse, Leopold possesses an intense ambition and drive that borders on obsession. He is laser-focused on his work, whether it be advancing the German Empire's technological and military capabilities or delving deeper into the arcane mysteries of dark magic and technomancy. This singular dedication can make him appear cold and detached, as he ruthlessly prioritizes his research over more personal concerns.
The influence of Leopold's great-grandfather, Kaiser Wilhelm II, and his great-uncles, Princes Eitel Friedrich, Adalbert, and August Wilhelm, is also evident in his personality. Leopold exhibits a strong sense of duty and responsibility to the German Empire, coupled with a deep-seated pride in his royal lineage. He carries himself with an air of regal authority, tempered by a pragmatic and calculating nature.
Beneath that aloof exterior lies a keen and calculating mind – a product of his tutelage under the likes of Otto von Bismarck. Leopold navigates the complex web of Imperial politics with an almost preternatural adeptness, anticipating the moves of his rivals and positioning himself to come out on top. He is a master strategist, able to devise innovative and unconventional plans that leverage the full might of the German Empire's military might.
This military acumen is no mere intellectual exercise for Leopold; it is a reflection of his profound understanding of the art of war, honed by the legacies of figures like Friedrich the Great, Clausewitz, and Napoleon. When the interests of the Empire or his family are threatened, the prince is capable of channeling a fierce determination and intensity that can leave a lasting impression on those who witness it.
From his great-grandfather Wilhelm Strasse and great-uncles, Leopold has also inherited a touch of eccentricity and a willingness to push the boundaries of both science and ethics. Like them, he is not afraid to embrace unconventional or controversial methods in pursuit of his goals.
Yet, even as Leopold exhibits these formidable qualities, there is a darker undercurrent to his personality – a thirst for power and influence that borders on the obsessive. Much like his distant relative, King Leopold II of Belgium, the prince is driven by an almost insatiable ambition, willing to employ ruthless or morally questionable tactics to further the interests of the German Empire and his own standing within the Imperial hierarchy. This relentless pursuit of power is accompanied by an eccentricity and fascination with the occult, traits he has inherited from his great-grandfather, Wilhelm Strasse. Leopold will often become singularly focused on unraveling the mysteries of dark magic and technomancy, isolating himself during these periods of intense, almost manic focus.
Yet, despite these powerful influences, Leopold is very much his mother's son. Wilhelmina's cold, aloof demeanor and single-minded focus on her work have left an indelible mark on her son. Leopold's interactions with others are distant and dispassionate, and he often finds himself more comfortable in the company of his scientific instruments than in the company of people.
Underlying all of these qualities is a profound emotional distance and detachment, a trait he shares with his mother, Wilhelmina Strasse. Leopold has little patience for social niceties and is often perceived as cold, aloof, and unapproachable. This introversion serves to further reinforce his image as a cerebral, hyper-rational individual who places little value on interpersonal relationships.
Yet, there are rare glimpses of a more complex, nuanced side to Leopold's personality. Moments of genuine passion and intensity can emerge, particularly when his family or the Empire's interests are threatened. At first glance, Prince Leopold cuts an imposing figure, radiating an aura of regal authority that commands respect and admiration. In these instances, his commanding presence and sheer force of will become palpable, as he channels the formidable strategic acumen and military prowess of his great-uncles, Eitel Friedrich, Adalbert, and August Wilhelm of Prussia.
Additionally, there are subtle echoes of other influential figures in Leopold's demeanor. The regal bearing and unwavering sense of duty of his great-grandfather, Kaiser Wilhelm II, can be seen in Leopold's interactions with the Imperial hierarchy. And the intellectual rigor and analytical mind of Carl von Clausewitz and Napoleon Bonaparte are evident in his approach to problem-solving and military strategy.
Additionally, the unwavering sense of honor and duty is reflected in Leopold's steadfast commitment to the German Empire and the Hohenzollern dynasty, much like Eddard Stark. He will stop at nothing to uphold the family's legacy, even if it requires him to make difficult, unyielding decisions that can make him appear inflexible.
But Leopold's noble facade belies a cunning and ruthless pragmatism akin to that of Tywin Lannister. He is a shrewd strategist, adept at anticipating the moves of his rivals and orchestrating intricate plans to outmaneuver them. In pursuit of his goals, Leopold is willing to make morally questionable choices, his actions guided by a Machiavellian approach that can make him seem coldly detached from the suffering of others.
Yet, when called upon to lead, Leopold channels the charisma and military prowess of Robb Stark. He can inspire fierce loyalty in his subordinates through a combination of his regal bearing, tactical acumen, and personal bravery on the battlefield. Under his command, even the most daunting challenges can be overcome.
Alongside these commanding qualities, however, lies a brooding intensity and conflicted nature reminiscent of Jon Snow. Leopold is often plagued by an inner turmoil, struggling to reconcile his duty to the Empire with his own personal desires and moral convictions. This introspective side can make him appear distant and unapproachable, as he wrestles with the complex implications of his actions.
And in moments of ruthless ambition, Leopold's detachment from emotion can manifest in a chilling cruelty akin to that of the Boltons. He is capable of making cold, calculated decisions that result in the suffering and death of others, without experiencing any remorse or hesitation. In these instances, Leopold's unwavering determination knows no bounds, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his objectives.
Drawing inspiration from the infamous Ramsay Bolton, Leopold has been known to subject his victims to horrific fates. He may order the flaying of his enemies, leaving them to endure excruciating pain before finally succumbing to their wounds. Furthermore, Leopold has been known to unleash his hounds, specifically his own favorite celestial wolfhound named Schatten (Shadow), upon those who have crossed him, allowing the pack to tear his victims apart in a brutal display of savagery.
Additionally, Leopold has been known to provide his victims a false sense of hope and freedom, only to hunt them down with his bow, toying with their desperation and despair before delivering the final, merciless blow. This twisted game of cat and mouse, inspired by Ramsay Bolton's own depraved hunting practices, serves to amplify the psychological torment Leopold is willing to inflict upon his enemies.
However, unlike the depraved Ramsay, Leopold maintains a strict code of honor that prevents him from engaging in acts of sexual violence or depraved torture for the sake of personal enjoyment. While his methods are still ruthlessly cruel, Leopold's actions are driven by pragmatic necessity, not sadistic pleasure. This distinction, though small, helps to preserve a measure of dignity and morality within his otherwise unforgiving persona.
Yet, despite these conflicting traits, one constant remains: Leopold's unwavering resolve and perseverance. Regardless of the challenges he faces, whether internal or external, he is relentless in his pursuit of his goals, driven by an unbreakable determination that has been honed by the examples of the historical and fictional figures that have shaped him.
Ultimately, Prince Leopold von Hohenzollern is a complex and multifaceted individual, a blend of the brilliant but detached Wilhelmina Strasse, the ambitious and driven Wilhelm Strasse, and the proud and pragmatic Kaiser Wilhelm II and his great-uncles – a product of his unique lineage and the legacies that have shaped him. His intense intellect, ambition, and military acumen are undeniable, but they are tempered by a deeply ingrained introversion and emotional distance that sets him apart from his more sociable peers. As he continues to ascend within the ranks of the German Empire, Leopold's influence and impact on the world will only grow, for better or for worse.

Bio: A Canadian sorceress and a scientist, Ellen Zoe is a member of Da'at Yichud - an ancient mystical secret society that designed and created inventions centuries ahead of contemporary times thanks to the use of their prominent abilities to use technomancy - who helped play a major role in humanity's technological development into a major hyperpower. Her technomancy allows her to conduct research and develop new technologies that would benefit humanity and their allies as a whole. Highly intelligent with a recorded IQ of 280, Ellen somewhat personifies the 'absent-minded professor' stereotype, with a characteristic disregard for personal safety, in particular during potentially dangerous scientific endeavors. Like most of humanity, she understands the danger of the supernatural and the threat they pose to the human race, making her consider her work to be for the good of humanity as a whole. Throughout her time in the UN, she had borne witness to seeing the worst and deadliest conflicts the UN had ever faced when fighting the supernatural in an effort to maintain their freedom and survival. Now in the present day after the 'Final Conflict', she continues to work as the head scientist and researcher of the UNDF R&D, making her one of the smartest humans in history.
Ellen met Leopold for the first time when he and his older twin sister, Charlotte, were Wilhelmina's junior researchers and assistants when the twins were 8 at the UNDF R&D Department. When they met, Ellen was amazed and in awe at how mature and intelligent Leopold was, despite being young, and she clearly saw him as a prodigy much like his mother and sister. At that time, Leopold was like a nephew to her. But, unbeknownst to her, Leo had a crush on Ellen due to how beautiful and highly intelligent she was, and he did find her 'absent-minded professor' stereotype funny. However, back then, he only dismissed it as a childish crush due to how he often blushed whenever Ellen touched him or helped him with the projects and inventions. But he always logically explained that it was just a childish crush when he had a crush on her as a child.
However, the more he matured, the more he realized that he had fallen in love with Ellen, without even knowing when. As an adult, he recognized that he had developed romantic feelings towards Ellen, but he felt nervous, anxious, and a bit scared of rejection since Ellen still saw him as her nephew. Then, after being elected as the Chancellor, he had the courage to confess his romantic feelings to the woman he loved. At first, Ellen thought he was just joking since she found it funny at how he confessed his feelings with a straight and stoic expression, as she giggled at his looks, thinking that it was Sophiel or Armina's doing. However, as soon as she saw the flustered and blushed looks Leo was expressing, Ellen realizes Leo is serious about his feelings, and she blushes furiously and feels embarrassed about it, thinking it was inappropriate that he would love a woman old enough to be his grandmother, when Ellen slightly scolded him about the age gap between them. However, after he expressed his wish to court her, Ellen looked conflicted before leaving, saying that she'll think about it.
Ellen would then confront both Friedrich and Wilhelmina privately as she explained about Leo's love confession and how she told them that they needed to speak with their son to put away such nonsensical thoughts. However, to her utter disbelief, the parents not only admitted that they were aware of Leo's love crush on her, but they actually encouraged it. This soon led to a small argument between the three adults. Ellen stated that what they were allowing is not only considered extremely inappropriate, but that if she and Leo even did become a romantic couple, it could damage their public image and was worried how Leo's peers would treat him. On the other hand, both Friedrich and Wilhelmina understood Ellen's perspective, but they also urged her to give their son a chance saying that he's held these feelings for a long time, and he wished to express them the best way he could. While they can't forcefully stop Ellen from rejecting their son's romantic feelings towards her, they at least asked the UN scientist to not break Leo's heart.
This would leave Ellen with a huge dilemma as she contemplated on her choices. On one hand, the most logical part of her mind still states that this kind of relationship is extremely inappropriate and wrong to its very core. On the other hand, a small part of her conscience believes she should give Leo chance allow him to act on those feelings with her. After much thinking, Ellen decided to give Leo a chance and when she confronted him about this, the German Prince felt a huge wave of relief wash over him hearing that the UN scientist would give him a chance to allow their new relationship. Though, while the others found it both surprising and weird at first, they decided to wait to see if their romantic love would bloom.
Two years later, after much courting and dating, both recognized their romantic affection and feelings towards each other, leading Leopold and Ellen to happily marry. Now in the present day, Ellen still continues to work as the head scientist and researcher of the UNDF R&D, but she never forgot about her personal life as she was now happy with her newlywed husband and their adopted daughter, embarking on the role of mother and the journey of motherhood within House Hohenzollern.

Bio: Ymir is Leopold's adopted daughter after he saved her from slavery in an alternate world from an alternate universe. The most interesting feature about Ymir is that she is not a native of the Kaiserreich or the UN universes; instead, she was from another universe where she was born and raised on an alternate Earth in ancient times.
Around the ancient times, Ymir was just a normal girl who was energetic, sociable, and loved to play for the entire day, especially when she enjoyed doing "boy stuff" such as playing with mud or playing soccer with the boys in the village. In terms of modern day, she can be described as a tomboy, and because of it, she usually got into trouble with her parents. Though, while they were incredibly strict, they loved their daughter with all their heart. However, tragedy occurred when Ymir's village was attacked, pillaged, and enslaved by the Eldians when she was only 6 years old, who also murdered her parents and cut out the tongues of the survivors that they enslaved.
For four years, Ymir had been living a life that people would call a living hell as a slave to the Eldians. She soon learned that to continue living, she had to follow every order given to her, but deep down she longed for freedom, even if every day that spark became smaller and smaller. With every beating, physical punishment, and hard labor she received, she eventually came to believe that she would never be free. This caused her to transform from an innocent and carefree girl into a docile and obedient slave with a slave mentality.
One day, as Ymir was walking around carrying out her tasks, she saw a bunch of pigs behind some fences and couldn't help but see herself in those pigs since she knew what it felt like to be unable to free herself and being locked behind a cage. And against what all the Eldians had beaten into her, she did the unimaginable.
One night, Ymir opened the gate to a pen, allowing for some pigs to escape, even though her mind was against it. Deep down, Ymir wanted to be free, and she expressed that feeling by letting the pigs into the open. However, that small moment of rebellion ended too soon when, on the next day, the tribe's ruler, the self-proclaimed king called Fritz, questioned the slaves on the culprit. Then, the slaves pointed to Ymir, who was released only to be hunted down for sport... but not after they gouged out her left eye as punishment.
Wounded and desperate, Ymir found an unusually large tree with a chasm at its base. Seeking shelter, she stepped inside and, not knowing of the sinkhole beneath, fell down into a pool of liquid. There, a mysterious spine-like creature fused with her and turned her into the first Titan. However, due to all the horrors, beatings, punishments, and physical and mental torture she had received for the past 4 years, Ymir had lost her own will and was going back to serving her slavers as the slave she had become. But all that changed when Leopold arrived and saved her.
When Ymir saw Leopold, she was shocked and in awe to see an angel had descended from heaven to help her. She saw his six angelic, pure white wings, and she was more shocked yet terrified to see how he scared the hounds away with a look, brutally murdered the Eldian hunters in cold blood with his sword and an unknown weapon that created a terrified sound that scared her, before leaving one alive, which Ymir deduced that he spared the last one for interrogation. After Leopold gave her a cup of hot cocoa, which was the most delicious drink she had ever tasted, she told him her name and how she had been a slave. Despite his calm and cold expression, Ymir flinched when she saw the tranquil fury behind the man's eyes. However, she later burst into tears when Leopold told her he wouldn't harm her, or leave her alone, but instead he would help her, including freeing the other slaves from the Eldians.
Then, Ymir was instructed to shut her eyes and cover her ears as Leo strictly yet gently told her that no matter what she heard, she shouldn't open her eyes until he told her to. Even though she didn't know what was happening, Ymir had a clear idea, as she no doubt believed that her savior was torturing the man for interrogation. What she doesn't know, and will never know, is how Leo brutally flayed the man to death in horrific manners.
Upon arriving at the Eldian village tribe, Ymir was once again in awe as she witnessed Leopold's powers. He single-handedly tore down the fortified wooden walls, brutally killed the soldiers and defenders in a swift and deadly move with only his sword and freed the slaves. However, she later grew horrified to see Leo show no mercy to the slavers he found, as he mercilessly killed them, including men, women, and children.
Then, when it came to King Fritz, Ymir could feel the same sense of fear, hopelessness, and helplessness that she had experienced when she confronted the monster who had killed her parents, pillaged her village, and enslaved her and her people. But all those feelings quickly washed away when she saw how Leopold knocked the king down, unconscious, by grabbing the back of his head and slamming it down to the ground face-first – which Ymir swore she could hear something cracking, no doubt his nose - and finally kicking him in the face with his boot, knocking out his teeth in the process.
Once done, Ymir saw the freed slaves watching the scene in fear, but she could see a sense of hope and awe in their eyes. When Leopold faced them, Ymir could see the disheartening gazes in his eyes beneath his icy, aloof exterior. Then he spoke to reassure them that he didn't come to enslave them, but to free them from their slavers, as he pointed at the unconscious King Fritz and told them one thing that would burn in their minds, including Ymir's.
Leopold: (cold tone) "Any man who says 'I am the king' is no true king."
For several minutes or an hour after, Ymir and the children's eyes and ears were covered by the adults because Leo had strictly told them to do so. Despite not being able to see or hear anything, she heard muffled, agonized, and ear-splitting screams and groans that she recognized as coming from Fritz. This was enough to give her an idea of what Leo was doing.
After Leo killed Fritz, he told them to wait for him at the destroyed gate of the village tribe, and once again, Ymir couldn't see what had happened when the woman kept telling her not to look at it. Whatever it was, Ymir guessed it was so bad and horrible that she and the other adults didn't want the children to see it.
Upon arriving at the gate, Leo wasted no time and used his Angelic powers to heal all the injuries and wounds the slaves had, including regrowing the lost tongues that the Eldians had cut off. Then, he produced bags of gold and gave one to each slave or family, as he apologized for not saving them earlier and believed that these bags of gold would help them start a new life somewhere far away from this horrible place. Filled with gratitude, the now-freed slaves were overjoyed as they thanked and praised their savior before bidding Leopold farewell, calling him an Angel.
However, Ymir was the only one who didn't join the liberated slaves, prompting Leopold to ask her why she didn't. Ymir, now feeling nervous and scared since she didn't have a home or parents in this cruel world, started to cry. This made Leo bend his knee and hug her to comfort her. Then, Ymir told him that she wanted to go and stay with him, as he was the only one who cared about her deeply and unconditionally, even though she was a slave.
Ymir then saw Leo's features soften as he gently spoke, explaining that he understood her feelings, but asked if she was willing to live with him and his family, as his world was a very dangerous and crueler place than her own. But Ymir didn't care at all, and told him that wherever he goes, whatever he does, she will always follow him until the end. Hearing this, Leo nodded in understanding and told her that despite the pain, he could sense the purest heart of good that Ymir had. So, he told her that she was no longer a slave, but his daughter, making her the Princess of the German Empire.
Despite being confused, as she had only heard of the Marleyan Empire from her parents, Ymir didn't care at all, as she was so happy that she was finally free. Then, Leo opened a portal, shocking Ymir before he took her back to his homeworld.
Over the past five years, Ymir had adapted and lived a new life she most deserved as the Princess of the German Empire, as a result of her yearning and longing for freedom. During those five years, she learned many things that shocked, surprised, and amazed her, and at the same time, horrified and terrified her.
First, Ymir learned just how big Leopold's family was. While he was indeed a Prince of the German Empire, he was also a Prince of Heaven due to being born to House Hohenzollern and the Angelic family of Heaven. The most shocking revelation was that Leo's uncle, Neo Angelo, was God himself, the Primordial God and the Supreme Being of All Creations, and Soren Angelo, who is the Son of God and Leo's cousin. This was so shocking that she had to bend her knee in front of God himself, before Neo awkwardly and calmly told her that there was no need for formality. Then, Neo helped her by removing the mysterious spine-like creature that had fused with her spine and then healed her after she demonstrated her Titan powers.
Second, when Ymir learned about the histories of both worlds, she was amazed to see how advanced they were in the modern and futuristic worlds, and their technological advancements, especially since both factions had the capabilities to explore the stars – an understandable reaction, given that Ymir was born in the ancient time of her homeworld. She even got a ride on what they called a "spaceship" and saw the stars and galaxies in the universe of the Sol System herself. However, she later became horrified and freaked out when she saw how both worlds had gone through numerous wars to achieve the peace they fought and sacrificed for, and she was even more terrified and horrified when she learned about the events such as the two World Wars in both worlds, the Biblical Apocalypse, the Grigori Invasion of Heaven, the UN-Axis Wars, the Scarlet King Rampage, and the one that terrified her most was the Final Conflict. Ymir realized that Leopold wasn't kidding at all when he said his homeworlds were far more dangerous, deadlier, and crueler than her own.
Though, in her opinion, she was more horrified and terrified to find out that Lucifer was Leo's great-uncle, the Devil himself being her adopted father's great-uncle. Even to this day, she would rather stay distant from him, as she felt uncomfortable with him and his presence. Even though she learned from her Angelic relatives, including God and Asherah, that Lucifer had redeemed himself and given up his evil cause, that still didn't ease her worry, as she feared him for being the Devil he once was, given his notorious and infamous history.
Finally, and most importantly, Ymir finally moved on from her dark and troubled past as a slave, and accepted her new life as Princess Ymir Alderwick von Hohenzollern of the German Empire after recovering from her trauma and PTSD, finally being free from her slave mentality and returning to who she was before her slavery – a tomboy girl who was energetic and sociable, but becoming more mature as she grew up and entered her teenage years. In those five years, she had gotten used to her new life with her new families in both worlds, as she got friends and families who would never leave her alone.
When she turned 13, Leopold told her that his mother, Wilhelmina, and her colleagues, Ellen Zoe, would prepare the operation to turn her into a Parautilitarian so she could protect herself and her family from the looming threats. Ymir understood the necessity behind it after she learned the histories of both worlds, especially the dangers that lurked within every dark corner of the universes, such as the Eldritch evil deities and beings, which was why she accepted it without a second thought. After the operation, due to her still having the essence of the Titan powers, the Parautilitarian genes had made her an Omega level, which shocked and surprised her most.
But nothing surprised her more than when the doctors told her that when they took her blood samples before the operation, they found out her ethnicity was equivalent to the ethnic groups in Europe, hence, making her a European. Ymir was shocked to learn about this, and when asked what groups she belonged to, she discovered her ethnicity was a mix of Danish-Scandinavian and Italian, and thus, Ymir found out that she was a Danish-Italian in terms of ethnicity in the Kaiserreich and UN universes.
Out of curiosity, Leopold asked Ymir what she could remember about her parents, which Ymir explained that her father was a Marleyan, and her mother was from the Southern continent, which in terms of the two universes, is the Northern European. This made Leopold and the rest believe that Ymir's world was different in terms of name and geography, since it sounded like a mirror and upside-down version of their worlds. And the Marleyan sounded like the Roman Italian, since Ymir revealed that during her time, she only knew about the Marleyan Empire, which was equivalent to the Roman Empire.
Nonetheless, Ymir was shocked, surprised, and curious about her ethnicity when she learned that she was a Danish-Italian, prompting her to learn more about Denmark and Italy in both worlds.
Now, in the present day, Ymir turned 15 as she grew up to become a beautiful teenage girl and was now happy and content with her new life as a Princess of Germany, having two loving families. She was pleased and grateful to be the daughter of Leopold and his newly wed wife, Ellen Zoe, whom Ymir saw as a mother figure. Ymir was overjoyed to see the two get married, since she loved them both like her parents. Currently, she is still studying as a cadet at the Kriegsakademie, but like her father and relatives, she is determined to follow in the footsteps of the House Hohenzollern by joining the military after she graduates from the academy. Ymir, once a slave, is now a Princess of the Deutsches Kaiserreich as Ymir Alderwick von Hohenzollern.
