Chapter 85 - You Ride Or Die?

Generally, when I think of phrases that involve flying, the first phrase that comes to mind is 'flying away from your problems.' I will admit that is accurate of me half of the time, literally and figuratively. Shouta is a perfect example. I swear that I do care for the man, but when he first is mad, it's better to run.

The other half of the time, it is the exact opposite. I fly towards danger like I am right now. It's certainly not the smartest move, but if I want an attempt at stopping this quirkist madness, I have to go there.

I have to beat some ASS.

Yes, I did have that mental breakdown an hour ago! Thanks for asking! Yes, I still feel the effects!

However, you may be wondering how did I go from wanting to cling to Shouta to grabbing the belt for the smackdown within an hour. The first thought is probably yet another mental disorder, but I will get into that another day.

The main reason is flying. Flying gave me some time away from everything, to calm down, and all that jazz. With that time, it came with some thinking. You know, thinking about how I am wanted for mass murder, quirkless being arrested since quirkist finally have a good excuse to do so, etc etc.

Also, being mentally tired of people's bullshit might have something to do with it.

I have come to the conclusion that I don't give a fuck about what happens to my reputation anymore. I could be wanted for the worst thing, and I really wouldn't give a damn at this point. Not that I think that they can outdo mass murder anyway, but I digress. I would include myself in that statement, but the entire squad would beat my ass if they found out that thought process.

With all that said, my last strand of sanity is gone. Respect for authority? I tried my best, but I am now returning to my 'i dont give a fuck' roots. I shall officially become a villain on my terms.

We don't even talk about where professionalism went.

Here's what lead me to this mindset: I'm already wanted. My face has already been displayed to the media. I already have people questioning, and this just supports them even without evidence.

In that context, I have nothing to lose! The only thing I can lose at this point is my friends, and considering Shouta answered the phone during my terror time and dealt with me, I think I'm good.

I hate to say this, but the power of friendship is a goddamn real thing.

If you did not keep track of that whole thing, I don't blame you. Just know that the world is going to suffer today. Okay? Okay.

I arrive at the building, and the first thing I do is put on my robotic arm. I didn't have it on before because I don't think I need my arm to fly, but I am going to wear it now out for safety. In addition, I usually remove remove my armor and leave anything hero related outside of the office. It's supposed to make me seem more 'respectful.'

Yeah, I'm keeping it ALL on this time. Even Patchy is going to stay on my back!

I enter the building, and I am immediately surrounded by guards with tasers and guns. Do they really think that's going to be bother me? I can literally beat all their asses in the snap of a finger.

And explode the building while I am at it, but I am not here to go rogue. Yet.

"My homies, stop wasting my time. I can figure out where every single one of you live within a minute, and I am not afraid to blast that on my Twitter. Just let me through so I can attempt to fix my life," I explain, not even bothering to wait for a response as I walk through them like they are my new doors. They don't even stop me from entering the elevator to the president's office.

Damn, they suck at their jobs. Would have thought I was just the friendly mafia leader from their actions.

The elevator stops, and I strut into the office like I own the fucking place to see the room dark, casually ignoring the guns and quirks facing me. The president, unlike usual, is on the other side of her desk facing towards her desk where a projector is on to reveal the leader of the World Hero Commission.

We'll see how long he is the leader after I shove a rake through his bum.

"I do not see how the this is accomplishing anything, sir. If anything, your ridiculous command has created more chaos," The HC president states, clearly unamused by the conversation. WAIT, SHE IS ON MY SIDE?! HOLY FUCKING SHIT, I REALLY AM INSANE NOW! THIS CAN'T BE REAL!

The Leader glares, "It's for the safety of the world-"

I scoff, "Bitch, stop your excuses. I thought Japan HC was stupid, but you seem to succeed that!"

The Leader's eyes instantly widen at the sight of me, "Get him-" I don't see how the president reacts, but she's probably done with my shit already.

The HC president faces her subordinates while cutting off the Leader, "Move and I will not hesitate to fire you." GODDAMN, SHE IS PROTECTING ME?! LIKE, I GET I AM USEFUL TO HER, BUT I DIDN'T THINK I WAS THAT USEFUL! YA HOO YAY FOR ME!

Leader snaps, "What are you doing?!"

"You are attacking one of our most valuable agents in Japan because he is quirkless. The evidence you have provided is baseless as Japan has already been through Midoriya's flaws multiple times. You're creating an unneeded mess here with that command and likely other places."

"And you know why!"

The HC president turns back to look at me, "Can you explain to him why this plan is flawed? You know much more about the quirkless community than I do." I think she also knows that I will just interfere anyway, so I might as well just run the show.

I step onto the floor board, ready to pop off, "Congratulations! You have invented a new kind of stupid! A damage you can never undo kind of stupid! Open all the cages in the zoo kind of stupid! Clearly, you didn't think this through kind of stupid! Let's review, alright?!

You decided, because Humarise is a group that involves mostly quirkless, that all quirkless are guilty of falling under the same group when a majority of us are probably innocent! Hell, most of us are elderly! Like we want to start this shit at 60 or whatever! Now there is an order out there arresting all quirkless because of such narrowminded thinking! If a group of people with fire quirks decided to try and take over the world, you would hesitate! However, because it's us quirkless, the useless ass bitches of society, no hesitation! Send them to jail!

Look, I understand the wariness, but this isn't smart. Once this shit is over with and you release, if you even decide to do that, the quirkless, shit is going to get worse!

THAT'S RIGHT! WORSE! AND YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?! BECAUSE NOW YOU SHOVED THIS STUPID ASS MINDSET INTO EVERYONE'S HEAD THAT QUIRKLESS JUST WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD! CRIME RATES WILL INCREASE BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL FUCKING TRY TO GET RID OF US BECAUSE WE ARE CONSIDERED A DANGER!"

The Leader tries to intervene, "Stop that-!"

"Bitch, sit your ass down! I'm not finished! You're just so worried about your fucking ego that you won't admit to being wrong! If you used a single braincell by now, you would realized that MORE THAN THE QUIRKLESS ARE AT STAKE! Be the quirkist ass bitch of the show, but realize that more than just the quirkless are going to get killed! Unless you don't value those lives either? Maybe you're just here to fuck up like you are now. Either way, congrats! You have officially given the world a reason to increase the crime rate, and it's going to take raining cats and dogs to fix it! Oh, and if you can't figure out what that actually means, IT MEANS THAT IT'S NEAR IMPOSSIBLE!"

The Leader huffs, clearly pissed, "I understand your concerns-!"

"No, you don't. You only think about the present and not the future. Now, you could always drop the order and let them go-"

"I'm not doing that, Midoriya! You're probably manipulating me!"

"God is manipulating all of us, so I certainly wouldn't be the first person! You also seem like the kind of person to be a pushover anyway."

That pushes the Leader over the edge, "GET HIM! I'LL PAY YOU DOUBLE IF YOU GET HIM!"

Well shit.

Welp, time to jump out the window-

Suddenly, a familiar grey scarf wraps around my waist and pulls me backwards until I am pulled into the elevator that was behind me. I collide into a body where arms wrap around my shoulders to keep me down. I hear someone slamming all the buttons as the door closes. One guy gets too close to the door, and someone gets in front of me and kicks them out.

Fucking Nemuri is out here kicking people. Though, I guess that isn't the worst thing she has done.

I feel the scarf go away, and I look up to find Shouta holding me.

You know, I knew Nemuri was a Ride and Die. Shouta? Certainly not the first thing to come to mind, but it makes sense.

"Are you okay?" Shouta questions instantly as he lets go of me after he assumes I am calm enough.

"I'm fine."

Nemuri interrupts us, "I hate to ruin the reunion, but we need to find a way out of this place. I pressed all the buttons, and I have no clue where this is going to lead us."

"Hold the button to the floor with the helipad. That will program it to go there." She does as asked, but she looks back at me.

"Shouldn't we be going to the lowest floor to get out?"

"We're going to be surrounded. If we go there, we're going to be followed outside of the building and probably risking some civilians."

"Good thinking, but now we need a game plan."

"Shouta, can your scarf be used as an effective mask? Like, effective enough to filter out a gas per say?"

Shouta nods, "You want Nemuri to to use her quirk to fill the elevator so that when it opens anyone waiting outside is going to get hit and passed out."

"Exactly. Is that possible, Nem?"

Nemuri grins, "Of course. Do you have a mask?"

I pull one out of my tool belt, "Obviously! Fucking underestimating me over here." To make it even better, it attaches to my visor to make it a perfect fit and not loose. Go me for thinking of every scenario possible!

I put on my mask, and Nemuri starts filling the elevator up. While Nemuri and I are immune to it, I will have to be extra careful with Shouta. I have no clue how much his scarf will filter, so he might still become a bit tired from it. If he does pass out, some bitches might die so I can run with him.

"You were the kid that pushed all the buttons, weren't you, Izuku?" Nemuri asks out of nowhere.

I slowly nod, "I was also the one to break the elevator. One star on Yelp, will never do again."

Nemuri cackles, and Shouta simply rolls his eyes. Good. I don't need him talking.

By the time we reach the requested floor, the elevator is filled with sleepy time gas. That makes me kind of nervous since Shouta doesn't have a mask mask on, so I grab his hand with my left-

Hold up. I look back to make sure I grabbed Shouta's hand and not Shigaraki's. Nope, it's Shouta, who is giving me a questioning look. Why the fuck does his hand feel like a tray of fried chicken strips? That is concerning as hell. I need to get this man some lotion.

The door opens before I can even consider what lotion to get him, and the gas flows out. The guards quickly scramble back to avoid the brute of it, but it doesn't take much for some of them to pass out. I run out first, dragging Shouta behind me.

It turns out, there is a room before the helipad, so we need to escape here first.

Nemuri follows after us, yelling, "What's the game plan?!"

"We need to get to the helipad!" I call back as we approach the door to it. Our luck isn't that good as two guys in unusual uniforms stand there, clearly ready for a fight, "Eraser!"

They aren't going to have a fun time, however.

I let go of his hand, and Shouta uses his quirk on them. It gives me a chance to rush at them and shoot my grapples to grab their shirts. Once I am close enough, I tug at the ropes, causing the two guards to hit their heads together and knock out. I withdraw my grapples as my homies catch up.

And of course there is more behind us.

I break down the door to the helipad and shove them in first, following after and slamming the door. I make sure to lock that bitch. Then, I look around to see what I got.

Everything else is useless, but the one thing that I considered for five seconds is the helicopter sitting on the helipad. It would be great fun driving that beast around. However, after realizing that it's not exactly subtle as I need it to be, I decide to throw stealing it out the window. Besides, it gives them an actual reason to arrest me if knocking out the guys back there is not enough.

"What's the plan?" Nemuri asks as we hear people beating on the door.

"Give me a moment," I huff.

As expected of the HC, they have the helipad inside to prevent people such as myself from stealing the helicopter. One of these walls should be a garage door, so I just need to find it and open it up. That's out best escape route.

I scan the room until a find a button in a locked case. That case means nothing to me as I use my robotic arm to just break it. Then, I push the button, and one of the walls start to lift to reveal the outside world.

A loud bang echoes as the door keeping the other assholes back busts open to reveal said assholes.

That ain't good, now is it?

I don't even bother to think as I run towards the open, grabbing Shouta and Nemuri along the way.

Once I reach the edge, I jump without hesitation, dragging them along with me. They instantly cling to me with some screaming from Nemuri, and I wish I could record myself traumatizing her. Unfortunately, now is not the time.

I wrap my arms around them tightly as I focus on making sure we don't die, "Shouta, look back and make sure we don't get shot at!" Shouta does as demanded, activating his quirk.

With that out of the way, I focus on slowing down our descent. Patchy has been tested to carry another person with no problems, but two is a different story. It's too much weight, and gravity is a bitch. Flapping the wings and attempting to fly is not working either. The best way of going about this is gliding. With that in mind, I spread the wings out and adjust everybody and myself to be almost horizontal in air. It slows us down enough to not die. The landing might still be a bitch though. Speaking of, I need to figure out a place to land.

However, not everything can go to plan.

BANG!

I see something shoot past me, making me tighten my grip on them.

"They have guns!" Shouta informs me. WHY DO THEY HAVE GUNS?! THEY COULD SHOOT THE CIVILIANS DOWN BELOW! It doesn't help that we aren't bullet proof!

"FUCK! OKAY, HOLD ON TIGHT! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO GO DOWN FAST!" I yell.

I force us into a dive, making us shoot faster down to the floor level. I ignore the arms tightening around my neck as we get closer, and I get us into an alleyway in the blink of an eye. Now that we are out of sight, I bring us upright and flap the wings as quickly as possible to slow us down, but that's not working out so hot with the weight.

Shouta realizes this. He shoots his scarf to latch onto the railing of the balcony, and we let go as soon as it's tight. Shouta swings away towards the wall, allowing Nemuri's and I descent to be much slower. Since I have a free arm now, I swing her in front of me and hold her bridal style to make the landing more even. We manage to land gently.

HALLELUJAH, WE DIDN'T DIE! Actually, that would be an ironic death considering what Bakugo said to me in middle school, but I won't go there for now.

I put Nemuri down, and Shouta drops beside us, "Are you two okay?" Both of us nod, "Good, because we need to get to Hizashi now. Nemuri, you lead, and I'll follow after you two."

"Gotcha!" Nemuri announces, taking a moment to get her balance back before zooming off. I follow after her, and I can hardly hear Shouta behind me.

I call over the running, "Um, where are we going?!"

"Hizashi has our getaway! We'll discuss once we're safe!" You know, I kind of doubt him. If one of us is actually smart enough to avoid legal trouble, it's probably him. The maximum I expect from him is that he brought a ride then left. Not that I would hate him for it. Hizashi deserves not to be involved in shit.

"Alright! Patchy, go to Endeavor's agency and tell the trash that I am going to be busy for a while! Discreetly!" Patchy follows my command, the wings detaching and the robot flying off. Maybe I should have kept it, but hiding is much harder when I have wings, and Patchy is not any easier to hide.

We twist and turn in alleyways, and I am so thankful that I'm not by myself here. This wouldn't be fun by myself.

"There!" Nemuri shouts back suddenly and we approach a familiar vehicle.

"Hold up, is that my truck?!"

Nemuri opens the door and gets it, "Yes, now get in!" Remember that truck I repaired from the beach? Yeah, they got that! Looking inside, I see that Hizashi has proven me wrong as he is sitting in the driver's seat.

"Uh, that's not going to fit all four of us-" It only has one seat, and it's not even that big of a truck.

Shouta suddenly shoves me in, "We're working with what we go, brat."

He then gets in beside me, and let me tell you: it is a TIGHT squeeze. Space? Who she? I feel like my organs are about to pop out of me. Seatbelts are unreachable too, so I guess we are going bare.

As soon as Shouta closes the door, Hizashi starts the truck and leaves the alleyway.

"Okay, but why did you have to get my truck? Couldn't you rent a car?" I question, not really caring if Shouta could choke me with no troubles with our current positions.

Shouta sighs, "Nezu."

"That explains it all. By the way, are you okay? From all the gas?"

"Could be better, could be worse."

"I'll take it. With that out of the way, what's the game plan?"

Nemuri wraps an arm around my shoulders, trying to give us more space in a way, "We're going to the docks at the moment. Once we get there, Nezu has a boat there waiting for us to jump in and get away."

"Wait wait wait, we're leaving the country? Literally?"

"Of course! What did you think was going to happen?"

"I thought you guys would drop me off at the outskirts of town and let me figure it out from there? OW, what was that for?!" Shouta just hit me! He whacked me upside the head! I already make enough stupid decisions! I don't need an excuse for more, Shouta!

Shouta glares at me, "Do you really think we're going to leave you alone? Before you answer that, the answer is no. You don't need to go alone."

"But that's going to make y'all illegal."

"We don't care. We're not leaving you."

Nemuri joins in, squeezing my shoulders, "Yeah, we're ride or die, dumbass."

"Uh-huh!" Hizashi asserts. Color me impressed. I thought he was fucking with me all those times. I'm proud of him!

Ignoring that thought, I look down from them with a smile. It's nice. I'm not leaving home with a bunch of teenagers this time. Not that I don't love them, but they're my friends. They aren't my family. These guys are my family.

"Awww, that's such an innocent smile!" Nemuri teases. And the moment has been ruined.

I snap back at her, "Bitch, shut the fuck up or we're going to have issues."

Nemuri huffs, "It's gone."

"Uh-huh. You did this. Are you proud of yourself?"

"Nope."

"As you shouldn't," I lean back, trying to relax and ignore the Jenga wall that is about to fall on me. That's when I remember what I was going to say before Nemuri interrupted me, "Thanks. I seriously appreciate this."

"No problem, tiny listener!" Hizashi tells me from his seat. Nemuri simply squeezes my shoulders again, something oddly comforting, while Shouta runs a hand through my hair.

It's nice. Not that I will ever admit to it out loud.

"Izuku, are you okay?" Shouta suddenly asks, and I look back at him, "You called me having a panic attack, and then I arrive to see you tearing down the Worlds Hero Commission leader. Not that it's a bad thing, especially since I haven't seen you treat authority like that in a while. However, it's a complete switch within an hour."

I click my tongue because am I really okay? Actually, was I okay even before this? The answer is no.

I consider my answer before actually spilling, "I mean, I could be better. The fly there sort of woke me up to the realization that 'hey, my public image is ruined anyway, so what's the point of trying to play nice like before if i'm going to be shot anyway?'"

"And are you okay with that?"

"Partially yes because it gives me an excuse to not give a fuck anymore. Partially no because of how much work I put into that. How many times have I been on the media just to keep it up? Keep up that I am not a villain and quirkless are not useless image?"

Shouta slowly nods, "I'm sorry for the shit you're going through, kid. This is just unfair on you."

"Life is unfair. You taught us that on the first day of class."

"This is just ridiculous." In the background, I hear Nemuri and Hizashi go 'yes!' so I assume they are supporting Shouta there.

"The truth!"

Hizashi interrupts, "We're here. We need a way to cover up Izuku."

Oh, I didn't realize that we were here. Looks shitty enough like any other dock, even if you ignore the rich people boats.

Shouta steps out, and I enjoy the sweet relief as he looks around. He returns after a minute of searching, "We should be able to sneak him past. There isn't many people here. Probably best if we surround him."

Hizashi gets out of the truck on the driver's side, and Nemuri follows after, "Good thing he's short."

"Ma'am have you not learned you lesson?" I state as I roll my eyes at her.

Shouta stops an impeding argument, "Izuku, we need you to be quiet."

"Yeah yeah," I mumble as I get out on Shouta's side.

The three surround me, and we make out way to one of the boats. There are a couple of people here and there, and I can't help but be a bit anxious. Thankfully, they are done with their lives, so they could give a fuck if one of the most wanted people in the world is walking past them.

Eventually, we start walking up the ramp to a very nice boat. It's certainly not big, but it's nice. Like, this is a boat you can live on. Not that I would as I rather not live on top of water, fish shit, and plastic, but you could. Once we are on the boat, Shouta lifts the ramp while Hizashi goes to the front.

I am already uncomfortable on this boat.

Nemuri brings me inside to a fancy living room, "Welcome to Nezu's getaway boat. Don't ask me why he has it, but he does, and it's prepared. It has all the staff's uniform, extra clothing, and food and other necessities to survive a family for a year."

What the fuck, Nezu?

I give her a questioning look, "Did he expect a staff member to get wanted or something? Also, when you mean the staff's uniform..."

"Probably more for himself, and yeah. He has a backup of your underground costume here as well as some clothes. He actually had it done as soon as he first met you since you quickly became his favorite human."

"I hate that." I should get ready for my death.

"Me too, Izu. Me too."

Then, the boat starts moving, and I instantly snatch Nemuri's wrist tightly.

Nemuri raises an eyebrow at me, "Uh, you good?"

"Peachy. Who's driving the boat?" I respond.

"Hizashi, but don't worry: we all know how to drive it and what not. Nezu brings us out here every year during break. He was planning on bringing you out here eventually. Part of the run away from Japan protocol."

"...you know, there's overprepared, and then there's OVERPREPARED!"

"I know. He also has a nuclear war one and a zombie one."

"Does that include the whole school or just the staff?"

"Both. Depends on his mood at the time. If he hates humans enough, he'll leave the students behind and just bring us."

"...why?"

"Because we're his favorite humans apparently, though you are his absolute thank above for the rest of us." Shouta enters without saying a word, just flopping down on the fancy couch and ignoring out conversation.

"I'm starting to think that the UA staff is just a Hero Freak collection for Nezu."

Nemuri looks at me offended, "Izuku!"

"You can't blame me on that assumption! Think about it! Out of everyone he could have hired, he hired y'all! Y'all can't tell me that you don't stand out in your fields! Hell, you literally forced the HC to change their hero costume legislature! You're the +18 hero!"

"I asked for the job!"

"And he accepted you! Nemuri, think about this for a moment. As a NORMAL human being would think, if a replica of you came up to NORMAL you and asked for a job to teach teenagers, would you have said yes?"

"..."

"Exactly, bitch."

Hizashi comes in right when I say that, "Izuku! We just got on the ship! We can't be fighting already!"

I huff, letting go of Nemuri's wrist before I break it, "I was literally telling her the truth."

"You called the entire staff a Hero Freak collection!" Nemuri accuses.

"You can't tell me Nezu wouldn't do that. Besides, that's not a bad thing. It could be something worse."

Hizashi considers his options before deciding to choose the correct side, "Nemuri, Nezu would do that. Don't lie to yourself."

Nemuri gasps, "Hizashi!"

Shouta interrupts us, "Hizashi, what mode do you have it on?"

"I have it on 'avoid everybody' mode," Hizashi responds as he sits at Shouta's feet. I'm not surprised that that is a mode.

"Good. Izuku, sit down before you topple."

That causes the two to look at me carefully. Is it concerning that I straight up just ignored how dizzy I feel in order to focus on conversation? It's a habit I got into a bit after I started drinking when I was younger. The conversations are much more interesting when I am drunk, so I sort of tunnel focused onto them I'm guessing? Like, I get so passionate that I forget my issues. I rather not go into the stupidity of that.

Since I have been reminded of such thing, that tunnel focus I mentioned just now goes away, and I stumble. Nemuri is quick to grab my arm and guides me to sit down in a fancy chair.

Well great. Now I feel like shit.

"Wait, Izu, you get seasickness?" Hizashi asks.

"Apparently. Didn't even know I did until recently," I huff as I curl up in the chair. That's true. I have never been on a boat until our trip back from that last island. I fucking suffered. Would not do again. The only thing I knew about boats was that they are yucky from the pictures I have seen, so imagine my surprise!

"Want me to see if I can find some meds?"

"In a minute. Right now, what are we going to do? We can't remain on this boat forever." Yeah, I really want to get off.

Shouta shifts enough to watch us while still laying down, "We can until this blows over."

"Ew. So we're stuck here?"

"Pretty much. Sorry, kid. We'll find you something."

Hizashi tries to brighten up the mood, "Think of it as a family vacation!"

"I hate it here."

"Hey, if you're lucky, you might get over it!"

"With my luck? Probably not. I need another weakness somewhere."

Nemuri suddenly lightens up, "Hey Izu, didn't you say you want to take down Humarise?"

"No," Shouta says without hesitation, but I ignore him.

"Oh...yeah, I did. I forgot," I mumble, and it's true.

Nemuri furrows her eyebrows at me, "Do you still want to do it? If anyone should do it, it should be you for irony if nothing else."

"Shit, you're right."

Hizashi pouts, "Nemuri! I just wanted a nice family time, and you had to go and suggest we take down a cult leader!"

Nemuri rolls her eyes, "It's technically family time if we do it together."

"I agree with her, " I support, "I need to hack to find out information about them, though. One moment," I pull out my phone and get to work.

Shouta is not amused, "Izuku, you don't have to get involved."

"Uh-huh. I said so." Hacking the HC is always easy. They have some juicy secrets. Usually, they have a lot of shit here with whatever I need. This time? Not so much. It makes sense since it is new thing, but it's bare.

Except for the heroes that have been requested internationally, and that is quite a few from our country.

"Oh, Zashi, they wanted you here," I tell him, not realizing Shouta was even talking. It was probably bullshit anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Hizashi eyes widen, "Really? What for?"

"No clue. It's just that you're on the list, though I suspect you are disaster relief with how loud you are."

"Disaster relief?"

"If they have more of those bombs, civilians are going to lose it. I hope above that they don't, but it's unlikely. They came in with a plan obviously."

Hizashi frowns, "So that can happen elsewhere?"

"Yeah, not that we'll let it happen. We're the dream team. Now shut up, I'm calling someone."

Shouta snaps, "Izuku, I swear if you're calling the HC-"

"I'm not! Just cuddle with your man and let me do the smooth talking," I call a familiar person, putting it on speaker for everyone to hear.

It picks up within a ring.

"What the hell are you calling me for?! I'm busy, and you're on the run! I'll just get this call tracked!" Endeavor's voice suddenly explodes through the phone. Everybody in the room looks at me like I am insane.

"Damn, chill. Like you can do anything there. Besides, I need information," I explain as I roll my eyes.

"You're after Humarise, and that information is confidential." Somehow, I knew he was going to sing that.

I grin (even if I rather jump in the ocean and drown) as I sing, "It won't be for long!"

"What are you talking about?!"

"Well, Endeavor, Sir, unless you want me to blast your family history on Twitter, including the abuse and the reason why your wife is in the hospital, I recommend you fork over the information now!"
