Izuku immediately sees an opening as Shigaraki is busy with Kirishima.

He comes up to Shigaraki and punches him in the head with his good arm. Shigaraki stumbles and uses Air Cannon against Izuku, causing him to fall to the ground.

Izuku looks towards Kirishima, "G-get out. I got this."

Kirishima, knowing his classmate well, goes to help the surrounding area.

Shigaraki, covered in blood from multiple hits from Izuku and Kirishima, looks at him with shock, "HOW THE HELL ARE YOU ALIVE?! YOU SHOULD BE DEAD!"

Izuku scoffs, slowly standing up while ignoring the pain. He offers Shigaraki a psychotic grin,

"I don't do this for the riches. I'm infected. My condition is I'm always in my head. These words are my religion. I'm obsessed, it's by decision. I'ma do this till I'm dead."

Izuku coughs up blood, while staring Shigaraki down, both obviously weak as neither are attacking,

"Set me on fire. Set me on, set me on fire. I'm still alive. I'm still a, I'm still alive. Bet you didn't think I'd come back to life!"

Both men get into their battled position, gaining as much of a break as possible.

Izuku mumbles under his breathe until his last line,

"Higher, faster, everlasting. Bet you didn't think I'd come back to life. Higher, faster, never-crashing. BET YOU DIDN'T THINK I'D COME BACK TO LIFE!"

The two dash towards each other, dodging a hit from one another.

"Stronger! Bet you didn't think I'd come back to life!"

Shigaraki lands a punch into Izuku's gut, using Air Cannon at the same time to fly him as far away as possible. Izuku barely manages to land on his feet, almost falling from the pain.

Both of them are panting from over-exertion.

"I do this with conviction. I write truths and never fiction. My disease is what you fed. I can't stop with my ambition. Like a missile on a mission. I'm a force that you will dread."

Izuku starts approaching Shigaraki, the man not moving due to Izuku being slow,

"Set me on fire. Set me on, set me on fire. I'm still alive. I'm still a, I'm still a alive. Bet you didn't think that I'd come back to life!"

The two clash into battle once more, this time just attacking each other, not caring if they are hit. They are in too much pain to care anyway.

"Stronger! Bet you didn't think that I'd come back to life!"

Izuku finally sees an opening, and he takes it. Using his boosters, he flies behind Shigaraki and shooters his grapples, grabbing both of his wrists. Izuku uses the grapples to pull himself towards the man and crashes his legs into his back, forcing a large crack to be heard and the man to crash down. Izuku lands on top of him, pinning him down while coughing blood on Shigaraki.

"BET YOU THOUGHT THAT I WAS DEAD, BUT I'M NOT DEAD! I'M NOT DEAD!"

Izuku then realizes that this could be his only chance to end it all. He does the only thing that would guarantee his death due to his possible access to having a healing quirk or obtaining one.

Izuku looks towards Shouta, who has been watching the whole time, shaky. He offers a nervous smile before looking down at the back of Shigaraki's head. He reaches for his baton with a free hand, adjusting it to the highest setting, then whispers,

"Stronger, stronger, everlasting...higher, faster, never-crashing...bet you didn't think I'd come back to life."

Click.

Electricity courses through every revealed part of Izuku's costume, feeling like it is burning him from the inside out.

Below him, Shigaraki is burnt to death.

Izuku finally screams,

"STRONGER! BET YOU DIDN'T THINK I'D COME BACK TO LIFE!"

When the electricity goes away after what felt like an eternity even though it was only a couple of seconds, Izuku checks to make sure Shigaraki is dead.

At confirmation, Izuku collapses right next to the man.

"IZUKU!" Shouta screams as he races over to Izuku. When he bends down, he has to get close to see Izuku's breathing as his body shows no other indicators.

He looks worst than before,

The first thing he does is call the ambulance together, setting Izuku as a high-priority, "Stay with me kid, please! You can't die like this!"

Shouta sets Izuku against him again, starting to clean him up.

Suddenly, Izuku's visor buzzes,

"Take me to the rooftop. I wanna see the world when I stop breathing...turning blue..."

Shouta quickly realizes his visor is speaking for him instead, "Izuku, please. Just wait-"

"Tell me love is endless, don't be so pretentious. Leave me....like you do."

Shouta wipes his own eyes from tea, "I'm staying. If...if you end up dying...I'm not leaving you alone."

"If you need me...wanna see me. Better hurry. Cause I'm leaving soon."

It takes Shouta a moment to accept what it's a high possibility at this point. Telling Izuku that he isn't going to die is just going to make it worst. He lets Izuku ramble.

"Sorry can't save me now. Sorry, I don't know how. Sorry, there's not way out...but down....down..."

Shouta runs a hand through Izuku's hair as comfortably as possible.

"Taste me, the salty tears on my cheek. That's what a year long headache does to you...I'm not okay. I feel so scattered. Don't say I'm all that maters. Leave me. Deja vu."

Shouta watches Izuku try to take a deeper breathe, but ends up hacking up more blood, groaning in misery. Shouta attempts to clean it up, "Be careful, kid..." Izuku reluctantly opens his eyes, looking at Shouta, and Shouta doesn't see a thing. The light is gone.

"If you need more...wanna see me...you better hurry...I'm leaving soon..."

"Kid, I know. But you'll be fine no matter what," Shouta attempts to comfort.

"Sorry can't save me now...

Sorry, I don't know how...

Sorry, there's no way out....

But down...

Down."

Izuku's conversions are becoming slower, and Shouta is start to become worried. Where is the ambulance?! It should be here by now! At least they could knock Izuku out so he can have a peaceful passing if nothing else!

"Call my friends and tell them that I love them...

And I'll miss them...

But I'm not sorry..."

"I will, Izu."

"Call my friends and tell them that I love them....

...

And I'll miss them...

.

.

.

Sorry..."

Suddenly, it goes silent.

Shouta softly calls, "Izuku?"

No response.

"Izuku?!"

Shouta checks his pulse to find nothing.

"IZUKU!"

He checks over him and starts do anything he can to revive Izuku. Just because he is aware Izuku is dying doesn't mean he's going to let him go that easily.

Shouta screams desperatly, hoping Izuku will hear him,

"IZUKU, WAKE UP, PLEASE! YOU CAN'T DIE ON US! THERE'S STILL SUCH MUCH THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE! SO MUCH FOR YOU TO DO! PLEASE!"

Izuku doesn't survive.

The paramedics do everything to revive Izuku with no avail.

When the world hears the news of the boy who forced so much change and positivity despite his odd ways of doing so, they quickly asked why.

Quirkless now were considered as useful as quirked because of him.

Those with vicious quirks were finally seen in a positive light.

Heroes who needed help finally got help due to Izuku's (rebellion) recommendation that all of them should see a therapist daily due to the harsh life.

Underground heroes are respected and protected more.

All Might may have saved the world physically, but Izuku was able to save it in ways nobody else could because of his intense determination.

By being logical yet relatable, he saved many people he didn't realize he saved. It may not have been everyone, but it was enough.

He was not a typical hero, but he was a hero that the world needed.

And now he is gone.

The moment the public learned about everything, they begged for the boy and his family to have some sort of compensation. Izuku still didn't get paid as a hero at the time, and he always paid for his actions, no matter how heroic. He lost so much of his life for nothing. He deserved something now.

The HC bowed after multiple rebellions happened.

All the money Izuku would have earned if he was paid like he should have was given to his mother, who donated all of it. She didn't need the money. She wanted change.

Inko, with the help of the public, finally changed the hero term to include quirkless as well as the law.

When the hero ballots came, the HC gave the world the shock by making Izuku honorary number one hero due to how much work he invested for the term. Of course, Endeavor was sadly still number one, but Izuku got the title beside him.

That was what the public needed.

A statue was built of him with his arms crossed, but some people disapproved of it and went in and made it so his middle fingers were out. Nobody was mad.

Through Izuku, everyone realized how much power someone could have. They didn't need quirks. They needed some goddamn intelligence.

One Week After Izuku's Death

Shouta can't help but be annoyed for how long it took for the funeral to take place.

Well, the private funeral. Because of how large of a name Izuku made himself, they wanted to have a public funeral first.

Shouta accepted only because he knew Izuku would have loved that. He would have probably asked everyone to drink with him as well just to see how much destruction he could cause.

Shouta was surprised to see how many people came to see Izuku. There had been thousands of people at least. He can't help but wonder if Izuku knew how much of a following he had. He probably didn't for how much he worked before his death.

Izuku never did slow down, did he?

The day of Izuku's funeral, Shouta was numb. He was seeing his best friend and brother, someone he was so close too, one last time.

Someone apparently found a letter from Izuku from a couple of years ago about what he wanted for his funeral. Shouta already knows this is going to be a mess.

Hopefully the kid didn't ask for them to perform a satanic ritual on their body or anything like that.

He expects a lot of things. What Shouta doesn't expect when entering the funeral home is to be given a pina colada while listening to the song Pina Colada.

Shouta can't help but huff a laugh with a small smile, hearing Hizashi chuckle beside him, "Izuku does the weirdest shit. This is literally all he asked for at his funeral. Oh, and he gave stuff out as well, though we couldn't fulfill half of it."

"Why?"

"He wanted us to divide up his body." Of course the kid did.

The funeral was interesting. Sure, it was sad, but everyone gathered around with tears and smiles while remembering their times with Izuku.

It took until the end of the service for Shouta to approach Izuku's body. With a tear rolling down his cheek, he runs his hand through Izuku's hair one last time,

"You better be giving God and Satan one hell of a time, Izuku...I miss you. Please be happy where ever you are. Know that I am so proud of you. Goodbye, kid. "

With a deep breathe and one final look, Shouta leaves.
