It didn't take long for Inko's arrest to catch the media's attention. It's the UA traitor! Of course that's going to garner attention!

And then when they realized that she was Izuku's mother, the media went nuts. They bashed him nonstop, starting to make claims that he is the traitor. Nezu had to make an interview within two hours to try and stop it. He explained how Izuku had nothing to do with it. In fact, it was Izuku who arrested her.

And so many more questions exploded at the boy through social media. Some suspected he did it just to get rid of his mother. They think it's a scheme. Another joke like the HC has been making them out to be.

All of this happened while Izuku was recovering from stress. Imagine Izuku waking up to discover that.

Shouta would completely understand if Izuku enters a coma to protect himself at that point.

Shouta stares at the broken kid in his arms. As soon as he fainted, Shouta brought Izuku to Recovery Girl to make sure he was okay beside the million mental issues he probably has at this point. When confirmed, she told him to bring him back to his room because he deserves to wake up someplace less stressful.

That's what lead Shouta here, laying with a sleeping Izuku just to be here for him.

Shocking Shouta, Izuku ends up sleeping into the evening. Even when the kid was injured and drugged he woke up quicker.

It's that bad.

Finally, Izuku wakes up, and Shouta sighs in relief. He was starting to get concerned, though he's glad the kid got a normal amount of sleep for once.

"Sho?" Izuku asks, almost hesitantly as he opens his eyes to look at Shouta.

"I'm here, problem child. Do you need something to eat or drink or anything like that?"

"I'm not disabled, dumbass," Izuku mumbles as he sits up like he hadn't just woken up.

Shouta sighs, "I know, but it's usually a nice feeling to have someone take care of you."

"Only to be ruined when you find out that person is a fucking liar and fraud."

Shouta doesn't blame Izuku. At this point, Izuku could murder, and Shouta would understand within reason.

He's just been through so much.

"Not everyone is like that, and you know that," Shouta calmly tells him instead. He doesn't need to encourage a toxic mindset, especially in someone like Izuku.

Izuku runs his hand through his hair, "I know, sorry...what happened?"

"You fainted once she was out of sight."

"Uh, why?" Shouta shouldn't be surprised that Izuku didn't figure that answer out by himself, but it's sad.

"Stress."

"That's possible?"

"Yes. Stress can literally kill you."

"Slowly or is it fast?"

"I'm not telling you the answer to that."

"Fine. What's happening now? Has the media figured out?"

Shouta was hoping to avoid that topic, but this is Izuku.

Shouta sits up to level with Izuku, "Yeah. You probably know how they reacted."

Izuku nods, "It's the media...is it bad that I don't care at this point?"

"You shouldn't-"

"That's not what I mean, " Shouta looks at him confused, "I don't know. Usually, I have to when I am fighting to. But with this, it just feels like a waste. At this point, I don't think I can get their trust back. And who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if they figured out I was some drunk bitch or how much I got in trouble or-"

"Izuku, stop," Shouta firmly interrupts him. Izuku looks at him, and he sighs when he sees the stress, "We deal with it if it comes up. Right now, you need to stay in the present, kid."

"I call it preparation."

"And what can you do if it does come out?"

"I mean, I could hack it."

"Izuku."

Izuku takes a deep breath as he stands up, "Would already be too late. I know."

"And you can't hack them anyway. You're asking for trouble."

"Like mother like son," Izuku says spitefully.

"Izuku, I know you're frustrated, but dwelling on it is not going to help. You want to train today?"

"Not like I have anything better to do."

Due to the significance of the case, Inko's trial is set a week after the arrest. During that time, Izuku was removed from the case due to her being his mother. In fact, he isn't allowed in the court room because of it. Only his evidence he got before could be used.

Not that Izuku was looking for anymore anyway.

He also had to go into the police station multiple times for interviews. While Detective Tsukuachi is himself, Izuku can sense the spite around him anytime he entered.

Today is Inko's court case. All the teachers gather around the TV in the teacher's lounge to watch it go down. While most of them sit around it, Izuku stands behind out of everyone's sight. Well, almost everyone's. Shouta is quick to notice, and he stays by his side.

Commercials before the trial, Izuku steps back from everyone so they don't hear him and softly asks Shouta, "Is it selfish to hope I fucked up? I get that's a hit as well, but at least I would have her."

Shouta simply shakes his head as he wraps an arm around Izuku's shoulder for comfort and returns him to his previous position.

When the trial starts, well, noone knew how short it would be.

It turns out, Inko confessed while screaming she was going to escape. The video of her confession looks nothing like her.

Honestly, how had Izuku missed the signs? Inko never wanted him to be a hero for a reason. He always thought it was because he was quirkless, and maybe it still was, but it gave her a greater benefit if he didn't become one.

She already had plans on bringing him onto her team whether Izuku likes it or not. Her plans were just delayed when he got into UA and then became too close to the teachers for her to do anything.

"He has the makings of a villain. I just needed to push him a little more," Inko replies.

The judge watches Inko like she is an animal, not a human. The judge hears the evidence, and within an hour, has a conclusion.

"Midoriya Inko, you will be receiving a life-time sentence for-"

That's all Izuku heard. He can't even see the TV anymore.

Shouta is quick to recognize the signs as he spins Izuku to face him, squashing down his own anger, "Izuku, I need you to breathe."

When Izuku doesn't respond, Shouta takes his hand and places it against his chest. He slows down his breathing, hoping Izuku would recognize it. It takes him a moment, but Izuku eventually follows with some struggles. At the same time, the TV was turned off and most of the teachers went back to their room to give them privacy. Only Hizashi and Nemuri stayed back for company.

Izuku eventually finds his grounds again, but it doesn't take long for the anger to spout, "What a fucking bitch! She produced me to be a goddamn slave, not a son! I'm a fucking bastard child to her! Damn, I wonder how everyone feels about that?! OH WOW, HE'S EVEN A MESS FOR HIS GODDAMN MOTHER! WHY SHOULD WE EVEN BOTHER TO LISTEN TO HIM?! AND THAT WHOLE VILLAIN THING!"

Izuku storms a distance from them to make sure he doesn't hit one of them.

"IF SHE BREAKS OUT, SHE'S NOT GOING TO BE OUT FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE HER ASS IS BACK IN THERE! FUCKING KARMA!"

"Y'all want to fight? I think we all have some pent up aggression to let out, and I think someone else is going to die if we don't, " Nemuri suggests as she stands up.

"In teams or against one another?" Hizashi asks.

Izuku doesn't let Nemuri respond, "AGAINST EACH OTHER! Y'ALL BETTER BE PREPARED CAUSE I'M GOING TO BEAT ALL YOUR ASSES!"

Izuku starts to the gym. Of course, they know Izuku means it in a way that he is going to win the fight even though they are just sparring. Looks like they are going all out.

Nemuri calls, "No weapons!"

"I WASN'T GOING TO!" Izuku returns.

Hizashi asks, "Are we going to die challenging him?"

"He's not going to kill anyone. Just be ready to dodge."

"So I'm going to die?"

Nemuri and Shouta both respond, "Yeah."

"Come on. Izuku is going to destroy the place if we don't get there fast enough. I may have a reign on my anger, but Izuku doesn't," Nemuri responds as she starts in Izuku's direction.

Their fight lasts much longer than usual. At one point, Shouta, Nemuri, and Hizashi had to start switching places to fight Izuku to get him to settle down enough to not destroy a light.

However, when they're finished, all over them are covered in bruises. At least they aren't angry.

"Recovery Girl isn't going to heal us," Nemuri points as she limps.

Hizashi groans from pain, "Nope."

Izuku, finally calm enough to think, says, "She probably thinks we're fucking violent bitches and is going to hire Hounddog."

Everyone agrees even if they don't like it.

When they arrive, Izuku faces them, "Thank you. I needed that."

Shouta reaches over and ruffles Izuku's hair, earning him a glare, "We all did, kid."

"No problem, Izu," Nemuri responds, "I asked for it anyway."

"I don't have to work out tonight, so thanks to you!" Hizashi says with a tired smile, "But I don't know why you bother with gadgets when you throw a mean punch. It hurts!"

Izuku tilts his head innocently, "Sir, I was holding back."

"...WHAT?! Okay, remind me never to fight Izuku."

"You should have seen the times I beat Bakugo in middle school."

"I rather not."

Shouta sighs, shaking his head, "You feel any better, kid?"

"A little bit. I'll cry about it later probably."

"I'll keep you company."

"Thanks. Hey, we should all cry together."

"Kid...what am I going to do with you?"

"Adopt me?"

"Already have."

"Good."
