Among Us
Prompt: Among Us. If you don't know the game, then you're not going to get this one.
This was requested by Ashley_Jiya on Wattpad. I was told to put them in a universe and have them kill each other.
Obviously, I agreed to it, though since these are hero students, I can't do that cause that's against their moral code???
You'll see what I did. Sorry if this is not what you wanted, but it's angsty at least??? I tried. That's all I can say.
Please be careful reading this. I put a lot of trauma into this.
Warnings: Murder, temporary death, gruesome scenes, blood, vomit, disassociation, mental breakdown

I hate waking up in places where I am not supposed to wake up. It's weird and awkward and all of the terrible terms above. It's just bad vibes all around.
It also means that, most likely, that I am either in a hospital or kidnapped. Considering I am in someone's arms, I can safely assume it is the second despite not being tied up.
As soon as my brain processes that someone is holding me, I shove myself away from the person and scramble back without opening my eyes.
"Izuku!" Shouta's voice breaks through suddenly, and I decide that I should probably opening my eyes. Doing so, I find Shouta on his knees in front of me, and my classmates and a few teachers surrounding us.
Oh, I was in Shouta's arms. That's certainly better than a stranger's. However, I don't recognize the place we are in. Honestly, it gives space vibes. The whole place is metal. The windows are covered in blackout and what seems to be stars. It seems to be a cafeteria we are in right now. The room is big, and there are tables you expect to see in a cafeteria.
Either way, I don't like this place.
I quickly scan over my peers and elderly (hahaha, you can't do shit if I say that in my head Nemuri) to find that class 1-A, Shouta, Nemuri, Cementoss, Yagi, and Ectoplasm are here. Not a bad team to have to escape with. What concerns me is the fact that all of us were captured here in the first place. The person must be confident as well since we aren't tied up or anything.
Shouta snaps me out of my thoughts, "Are you okay? You were purposely made to sleep the longest out of all of us." That's intriguing. Probably took a lot of drugs to do that.
Except I don't feel like shit. Something is off. Even with a decent amount, I usually wake up rather quickly. With how awake the others seem to be, I must have been knocked out for a while.
So how did we all get knocked out and taken here? Is this a group effort? Why the fuck are we here of all places? What were we doing before that got us into this situation in the first place?
I hum, "Yeah, I feel fine. What's going on?"
"We were captured, but none of us know how or where we are. All we know is that we can't use our quirks and that there is someone that talks over the speakers to us."
Shouta gets interrupted by said speakers, "Is Midoriya finally awake?" The voice sounds a bit boyish, though I prefer to avoid assuming looks just based on a voice.
"Unfortunately," I answer, "Look, I'm already stressed out by the world's issues. I don't need your issues on top of it, so would you like to get your therapy session done now so we can leave?"
"Aw, what makes you think you are leaving?"
"Because nobody here wants to be here??? Like, if you want friends, I can get you some in a more natural and without Stockholm syndrome kind of way."
"Such a bold accusation. I don't need friends! I just need entertainment! Since you are finally awake, I can explain the game!"
"I did not sign a contract to be in a game show-"
Suddenly, I feel a hand around my neck, squeezing as tight as possible. I immediately lose breath, reaching for the hand only to find none there. I try to breathe and ignore the pain, but I am being choked by something that isn't there! I feel other hands all over me, but it's nothing like the one choking me. I look down to avoid looking at everyone, especially when my vision is getting blurry. I nearly collapse when someone catches me. I can barely feel them.
Finally, the hand disappears, and I greedily gasp for air.
I didn't even realize that there was cotton in my ears until it was removed.
"Izuku, can you hear us?!"
"Holy shit, what happened?!"
"Bro?!"
"Is this because of a quirk?!"
"Classmates, please settle down! Freaking out is not helping anyone!"
It gets too mixed for me.
Without thinking about the repercussions, I shout, "Shut up!"
Huh, that's odd. You know, after choking, talking hurts, let alone screaming. Shocking, the pain didn't increase or anything. Obviously, it still hurts, but not the pain it should be. As the stupid person I am, I reach up to my neck and press where the hand was. Once again, it doesn't hurt more despite it supposed to be. Something is up here.
I hear Shouta softly mumble, something only I could hear, "Shhh, it's okay. I'm sorry. Focus on your breathing, please, Izu." Shouta has a tight grip around my shoulders and a hand in my hair while I feel someone else rubbing my back, probably Nemuri since I feel sharp ass nails.
"I don't recommend playing games with me, Midoriya. I will kill you in the snap of a finger," The speaker echoes.
I grit my teeth, ignoring Shouta's previous requestion, "Then explain your game."
"I was getting there until you interrupted me, but I shall now! Have any of you ever played the game Among Us?"
I do, but seeing how I was choked by the invisible hand that's not likely to be Adam Smith's, I am quite hesitant on answering.
Thankfully, my mans Kaminari got me covered, "Yeah, we play it every Saturday!"
That is true. Everybody, including the teachers, play except Yagi (he's old), Recovery Girl (same reason), Shouta (bitchshit), and Nezu (he's banned after the first time since he kept winning every game).
"Good. That makes this much easier. You will be playing that here with your teachers and classmates!"
Cementoss questions calmly, "What do you mean?"
"I mean what I said! You will be playing a real-life version of Among Us! This is going to be so great! I know you guys will probably not kill at first, but after being trapped for so long, I'm curious of who will break first!"
Loud protests explode from my class logically. Iida and Yaoyorozu try to calm them down, but when their lives are on the line, that is certainly harder than expected.
Meanwhile, Yagi, Ectoplasm, and Cementoss approach us and bend to my level, clearly distraught at the situation.
"What are we going to do?" Yagi asks.
Shouta easily takes the lead, "Right now, we need to find a way to escape this place. I assume that letting the innocents win will let us out just like in the game."
Ectoplasm shakes his head, "It can't be that easy. It will probably just restart the game. Whoever is over the speaker is looking for people to be killed. Letting us only play one game, especially when showing that they know that we won't kill the first round, would not work for the benefit of him."
"Unless we are affected mentally here with a quirk. It would make sense since Izuku was out the longest, and we know how he is."
"If that's the case, then we need to figure out who they are currently controlling and how many."
I don't think that is what is happening here. Everybody is acting normally. If that wasn't the case, I think we would already be in the game right now. Probably having issues already.
That sounds like too much work for them.
Besides, that pain thing still doesn't match up. I find that a more stable grounds to work on rather than me just waking up later. The dick could have practically overdosed me for all we know.
I decide to test something. While they are absorbed in their current ideas of what is going on, I suddenly punch Shouta in the gut, getting wide eyes from all of them.
"Midoriya, what was that for?!" Yagi nearly whisper-yells at me.
I decide to logically ignore him, "Eraser, did you feel any pain from that?" I hate using his hero name, but I don't want to give out his real name here. There seems to be different rules here, and I want to play it as safely as possible. For all I know, we could be fucked because the villain can read our minds.
Ew, I rather not think about that. However, I'm going to say that it's not likely since Mineta is still here. I would have to kill the boy if I had to read his mind. He probably has porn memorized and running 24/7.
I'm going to forget I ever thought of that.
Shouta's eyebrows furrow in confusion, "No." The teachers react with similar expressions.
"Maybe it could be the drug?" Nemuri questions.
"No because I can still feel the pain from being choked. However, when I touch my neck or talk, it doesn't hurt as it should."
Shouta gets the idea quickly, "So only whoever choked you can cause everlasting pain."
"Correct. We need to keep an eye out. Something is off about this place."
"It could be a quirk," Ectoplasm injects.
"Yes, but what kind of quirk makes it so only they can cause pain to others, and why would they do that in the first place?"
We must have been talking for too long because the speaker suddenly screams,
"QUIET!" Considering we don't want to die, we follow for now, "No more questions! You know how this game works by now so just get into it! HAVE FUN! AHAHAHAHA!"
Someone needs a Snickers bar.
All the sudden, my vision darkens and a word fills it instead.
Crewmate
Okay, I can work with that.
The darkness disappears, and I am brought to my feet to stand around a cafeteria table around others. A loud 'go' echoes in the room as a lot of us look distraught.
With that performance, I am starting to believe that there is a quirk on this entire place. That's certainly possible, but it is concerning as well because how the fuck are we supposed to get out of here?
Everyone is frozen, watching each other with distrustful ideas.
I sigh aloud, "Alright, listen up. Everyone split up into five groups, each having one teacher. Do your damn tasks and don't murder someone. Our goal is to have the innocents win and see if we are let out that way. I deny it, but it's worth a try. I don't care if the groups are even, by the way. I just need two or more people together just in case the murder actually wants to murder. I also prefer if people you get along with better are in the same groups rather than people someone you don't like as much just for extra precaution."
Shouta instantly grabs my shoulder and drags me away to do our tasks. Makes sense we are close, and Shouta being a prime target since he is kind of a dick to my other classmates.
The students split up, and I make not . The biggest group is five with Yagi, Bakugo, Sero, Kaminari, and Kirishima, while the smallest is two with Shouta and I. The rest are groups of three.
In the top of my eyesight, my tasks are shown. I am assuming that is the same for everyone, but it doesn't stop me from hating it. It's icky.
However, that adds to my suspicious shit list.
After talking through our tasks, we get to moving when Shouta asks, "Are you okay?"
I click my tongue, "Okay as I can be in a place like this. This is just annoying."
"I know, but we got this, alright? We'll get out of here."
"We better. We haven't had y'alls wedding yet."
Shouta rolls his eyes, but we keep moving until we suddenly freeze at the sight in front of us when we enter the room.
Mineta is dead on the floor with a knife through his dick. His blood is scattered across the floor like a mosaic, though I deny it was intentional.
Shouta is the first to move to check his pulse, and I move after to help him; however, he stops me, "He's gone, Izuku."
"I mean, he kind of deserved it," Shouta glares at me, but I don't take it back, "Is there anything off about his body before we report it?"
"He isn't warm nor cold. It doesn't feel like he has a temperature at all."
"When you were holding me earlier, I didn't feel a temperature from you either. He also doesn't look very dead. There's something off with this entire place."
"I agree. Report the body?"
"Nothing else to do."
Shouta does so, and we are suddenly teleported to the cafeteria with confused and freaked out faces.
"Did someone die?!" Ochaco asks, clearly concerned.
I shrug, "Yeah, but it was just Mineta."
Just like that, the concern mostly goes away as the girls plus some guys start clapping in celebration.
Yeah, we really don't value the little shit.
Iida chops the air, "Your classmate just died! You shouldn't be celebrating! We should be deciding who did it and deliver justice!"
Jirou intervenes, "Iida, we are celebrating. He made us extremely uncomfortable." Me too.
"I know, but still!"
I raise my hand to silence them, "Yeah, that's not the best thing. However, we can't convict anyone unless we want to kill them too. From now on, no more killing until we figure something out."
That's not to say that I don't have a clue of who it is. I suspect that it is something from the Nemuri team since she is the only teacher who would probably allow murder on the bastard. I don't know if she did it herself, but I know one of those girls did it since it's the only all girl team with Nemuri, Ashido, and Hagakure.
Once again, I can't blame them.
The meeting ends, and everyone goes back to their tasks.
I turn to Shouta, "Lead me to where Mineta's body was please. I just want to see something."
I am so glad I am on Shouta's team. Unlike me, who can't track where I am for shit, Shouta is the opposite. He knows where to go exactly, and that works to my benefit here as he brings me back to the room only to find the body missing. There's not a trace of what happened.
I click my tongue, "I have an idea. Can we go to the security camera room?"
That is just as easy to find. Thankfully, it is nearby. This should be my room since I can hack and see what happened to Mineta's body.
Except I can't. When I approach the keyboard to start the process, something is stopping me from even touching the keyboard like a secret barrier.
Everything clicks at that moment. We're not in real life. We're in a simulation of some sorts. That's why my pain is so weird along with everything else. Mineta isn't actually dead. His body didn't match the death of a typical person. If anything, that woke him up from whatever we are in.
Then, I pale.
We have to get killed to wake up, and someone has to kill.
That is fucking cruel.
"Izuku? What's wrong?" Shouta asks as he approaches me.
I look at him, focusing on my breathing, "I figured it out. I figured out how to get us out."
"You did?"
"Yeah. We need to-"
Suddenly, out of nowhere, pain explodes in my stomach and I collapse on my knees. I start coughing, and I taste blood, but nothing is coming out of my mouth as I curl up on the floor.
"IZUKU!" Shouta screams as he joins my side, "Talk to me!"
I feel so far from my body that I can't. What is going on?!
Out of nowhere, words echo in my head.
Don't reveal the truth unless you truly want to die.
That same boyish voice from before. Fuck, they're watching. I can't tell Shouta or anybody what we need to do!
Honestly, I am shocked that I am not panicking. Well, my heart is pounding and I feel like suffocating, so I am. However, I am clear despite that.
Slowly, I sit up, and Shouta wraps his arms around my chest, "Izuku, what happened?"
"I...can't say..."
"Izuku, breathe with me."
"Eraser, I can't!"
"You can! I have you. I'm not letting you go. You're okay. We're going to be okay."
I feel sick. Nauseous. I just lean into him, trying so hard to stay focused because one thing has become clear.
Unless someone else figure it out, I have to kill my family and friends to get them out.
If this is a quirk, I have to kill Shouta so that he can cancel it.
At that, I wrap my arm around his neck and cling to him, barely able to hear him. I can feel him moving, speaking, but I am unable to hear what he is saying.
Eventually, I feel myself being lifted and carried around.
It feels like I am in a fog, and I have no clue how long I am in that state for. I know it's for a while as I seen the word 'Crewmate' multiple times.
Then, the fog lifts suddenly.
Imposter
I'm the killer. This is my chance. This is my chance to save everyone from this hell. I feel the knife appear in my sleeve, secure there until I need it.
It feels so heavy.
I realize that I am on Shouta's back, and arm clinging around my neck. He's right there. I can kill him without him realizing it. A quick and pain-free death for Shouta. What he deserves.
We are away from everyone when Shouta suddenly looks over his shoulder at me, "You're trembling. Is it getting worse?"
I am so thankful that I have my head shoved in his scarf so he doesn't see the tears building up. I nod.
"Just be patient. Everyone else is working on it. You'll be okay. When we get out, I promise we'll get you the help you need."
He looks forward again as he enters a room at the far end of the building away from everything.
The knife feels heavier.
I need to be quick.
The trembling gets worse as a sob rips out of my throat,
"I'm sorry."
Before he has a chance to react, the knife appears in my hand and I slit his throat. Blood shoots everywhere as he collapses with me on top of him. Immediately, I feel for a pulse.
None.
I scramble back from Shouta's body that I can barely see through the tears, mumbling sorrys over and over. A clasp a hand over my mouth when I feel like I am about to get sick.
Breathe.
Breathe!
BREATHE!
I accidently run into the vent and go through it, landing in a room where Bakugo is by himself. As soon as he sees me, his mouth starts to move to out me.
But I can't have that happen. Not when I know how to get us out.
Before a word can escape Bakugo, the knife reappears in my hand and goes through his neck. Bakugo's head rolls clean off onto the floor as his body drops soon after with blood exploding everywhere.
This time, I can't help it. Stomach acid crawls up my throat and to my mouth and I feel like I can getting sick.
Yet nothing is coming up.
I want to scream, yet only sounds of choking comes. The tears rolling down my cheeks makes it all the more suffocating.
But I must save them.
I have to.
Even if I end up killing myself in the process.
And slowly, I dwindle the crewmates, taking advantage of their sympathy towards my state of mind.
Ochaco takes a knife slash across the chest.
I stab Kirishima through the head.
Ashido's throat is slit.
Hagakure gets stabbed through her eye.
Nemuri is stabbed through the heart.
While I am finding my next victim, my vision suddenly goes dark.

Shouta's POV After Death
I wake up to the sound of gagging echoing through the room. I immediately wake up to try and find the source only to find myself around my colleagues and students, all of us tied of with rope. However, none of us seem to be injured.
I get to work cutting through the rope quietly with my boots. Izuku added a small blade to the back of them just in case something like this happened. Glad his precautions are coming into use.
The rope drops, but I decide to not move. I need to watch and use who is in charge. There is nobody here to watch us so far, but I suspect that they should be coming out soon since I have awaken.
That suspicion is correct when a boy with a familiar boyish voice starts mumbling up a storm, "I need to kill him before he ruins the game! He is ruining the fun! Stupid ass-"
I take the chance to use my quirk on the boy and tackle him to the ground. Since I have no way of tying him, I just knock out him. He really did not prepare for this for how easy this is, but are there any other people here?
After listening a moment, I only hear some of my students starting to wake up. I do a quick tally when I notice somebody missing.
Izuku.
Where the hell is Izuku?!
The gagging returns, and I see that it is in the direction the boy was heading. I immediately get up and head towards that direction before I find a room with a locked door. I kick it down, not willing to wait.
I pale at the sight in front of me.
Izuku is tied up in a chair. While the rest of my students did not have any injuries, Izuku is the opposite. Blood and bile covers his front, it dripping from his mouth. Looking down, I find dark bruises around his neck (when he was being choked earlier, my brain supplies) and a knife stabbed into his stomach.
He's too pale and sweaty. Trembling. Sick.
I rush to Izuku to check his pulse. It's weak but there. We need to move now.
"Oh my gosh, " Uraraka's voice suddenly interrupts, and I look back to see my wide-eyed students looking at Izuku.
"We don't have time! Iida, call an ambulance quick! Everyone else, make sure there is nobody else here!"
The students move to do as their asked. Meanwhile, I cut Izuku from the chair and bring him to the ground into a comfortable position against me. I find myself shaky, holding Izuku as I try to clean him up the best I could before they get here.
I rock him gently and hum, trying to provide Izuku with as much comfort as possible.
Please survive, Izuku.

Author's Notes
Yeah, this turned out different than expected. I tried my best, but I got into a rough spot with this prompt. However, I hope that this satisfies. I should move faster with sending these prompts out now since I considered this one the hardest in my opinion.
Once again, sorry if this is not what you expected, but I tried my best.
