Akari's POV

I finally get off my bed to get ready for another horrific day. Yay.

I took a shower, brush my teeth, and put on clothes that I'm comfortable with:

I look at the clock again and see it was, 6:50 AM already?! Wow, looks like I think a lot about my dream, or probably because I took a lot of time in the shower, probably the second one.

I got out of my room and went downstairs, greeted by my dad writing something down, mom in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

"Hi, little Icarus! How was your sleep?" Dad said as he looks up still continue writing, oh yeah, forgot to tell you guys that my dad has a Quirk and my mom also does too.

First my dad: he has two Quirks, his first Quirk is called Blindness, he can see things without looking up, down, behind, wherever he can't see with his eyes, and he can also blind his victim to make it easier and catch them quickly. It's like having a third eye that can help you with anything, but he doesn't have a third eye, yet that's why he wears a blindfold in front of his eyes. His second Quirk is called Dragon Slayer, he can breathe and eat fire, whether it's dangerous or not, he can still eat them like he's never been hungry before, and then he can make a huge, dangerous fire out of his mouth, of course he can have side effects from it, cause when he use this like a special attack, he can be light-head and throw up lava if he uses too much. His Hero name is Igneel Dragon, cause he's actually. A fire. Breathing. DRAGON!!! Also, he once told me that he names himself Igneel (Yes, I got this from Fairy Tail) is because that's his grandfather's name. I swear I feel like I'm learning my Dad's past life since I've never known about it.

Then there's my mom: she has 3 Quirks, her first Quirk is screech. Like an actual screech of a bat, and she's fast too, making her opponent go blind a bit and lose track of her, that's her second Quirk, called Blur, like a cheetah. And her last Quirk is Ice, because her grandmother, my great-grandma, transferred her Quirk to her after she passed away, she could use Ice very easily out of her breath and/or hands, and she could also make snow so innocent people wouldn't get hurt when they fall hard and to take out fire. Like dad, this will have side-effects, if she use one of her Quirks, she will either be light-headed, throat hurting, or throwing up water and/or snow (Sorry ShihoFujioka). But if she use her three Quirks at the same time, then she will pass out and won't wake up for a month. And her name is Winter Owl, because she was born in December, but I don't know why she name her last name Owl. I didn't question it though, but maybe one day I will, and hopefully, I will get to know my Mom's past life more as well.

"It was actually pretty good," I replied as I sit down across from him, mom put the plate down and I immediately dig in, but not too much since I have school and I want to save some for my parents. When I was done, I immediately got up and about to go out, until mom called me. I stopped and turn to see her holding a bento box that is wrapped in a light blue bandanna, I look at her "I thought you would want to eat something when lunch starts." She explained, I slowly grab the box then immediately hug her which she hugs back. "Thank you." I muffled into her shirt "Your welcome." She replied, we both let go and I put the bento box in my bag, put the bag on my back and start running once I open that door.

"Tell Mayako that I said hi!" Mom yelled out since I'm really far "I will!!!" I yelled back as I continued running. I ran and ran as if my quirk is Blur like my mother, even though I don't have her Quirk, I can still run fast due to being in track when I was 9 years old. I jump over a car, sometimes bump into someone since it's really crowded, they would yell and I would tell them sorry and continue running, I think I hear someone say "I swear, kids these days with their Quirks and all," something like that.

Finally made it to school, I crouched down trying to regain my breath, then I stand back up again and about to walk into school until I hear my name called, "Akari." I turn my head to see Mayako Gōrudo, our older cousin and when I said 'our cousin,' I mean me and Ochako. Unfortunately, Ochako isn't here with us cause we live in America while she lives in Japan, our birth country.

Mayako's hair is a long and straight and covers her bottom, her color hair is rose gold which made it a bit shiny, her body is curved like an hourglass some sort, she has little tan skin, and she has heterochromia eyes, her left eye is orange like Citrine and her right eye is green like Emerald. She doesn't have a Quirk yet, cause for some reason her at a young age her Quirk just disappeared like it didn't exist, yet she's determined to figure out how to get her Quirk back, no matter the cost... I wish I have her determination...

"Mayako." I quietly said as she walks until she's stopped in front of me and we start walking together in the school "My mom wanted to say hi since she hasn't seen you in a while." I said quietly to her, she's the only person that I talk to since we're cousins and we're in this school.

"Well tell her that I said hello. Also, my mother wants to tell you hi since she hasn't seen you for a long time." She said calmly and quietly yet has a monotone in it, but people would hear the poison in her mouth if someone is talking to me or her rudely. Yet she never held a grudge when I'm around. Honestly, she doesn't talk that much too, but she talks to me more since she trusts me and I trust her. "Then tell her that I said hey." I joked quietly which made the both of us laugh a little, we talk quietly to each other along the way until we're at our first class. Kids started to show up. That's when school is starting.

~Time Skip to Lunch~

It was Lunchtime which means we have a 20 minute break. I went to the hill where the Willow Tree is and sit down as I rest my back on the huge tree. I close my eyes as I hear the calm music in my ears going into my brain "I thought you'd be here today. As always." I hear a calm voice through my headphones, I took one out and open my eyes only to see Mayako.

I smiled a little "Hey." I only said as I move to let her sit right next to me as I took both headphones out. We both got out our Bento Boxes, prayed for the meal, and start eating. The silence was filled in the air, the only thing we hear is the wind blowing the Willow Tree's leaves, then we hear a soft, yet quiet bells ringing to the rhythm of the wind. I drink the hot tea that Mayako gave me, then look down as I sigh softly in sadness and a bit of relief.

"Is there something wrong?" I hear Mayako ask me, I look at her and saw she has a tiny worried look on her face, I look down at my cup, thinking if I should tell her what I saw... so I did.

"I had... this dream. The room was cleared white, yet there was gold streaks around the room, and then... I saw a woman... I didn't know her name, she just tells her name is Lapis... she told me that I'm going to get my Quirk... she also said that I just got to believe in myself... but what does that mean?..." I explained to her, when I was done I've realized that she didn't speak or ask me through, I then started to blush in embarrassment, "Sorry that I kept rambling, I didn't mean to! Let's just forget what I said, okay?" I said anxiously, waving my arms around, then I looked down and sigh trying to relax my heart, then Mayako started to speak up.

"Well... that means you have to not only to believe in yourself but to have to a little hope and faith for yourself..." I turn to look at her, my eyes widen from her words, she looks at me and gave me a kind smile... of course, I smile back but it was a small smile, then we went back to eating.

Hearing nothing but silence... and soft bells still ringing from the flowing Willow Tree...
