Hi I am here with another short story so before starting it I want to say that my intention is not to show a father and a husband cruel or bad all man are not same and Neil khanna of naamkarann is the perfect example of it so don't get me wrong so let's start.

A mansion was beautifully decorated and lighted by lights the scenario was saying that there must be a wedding and khanna mansion was written on the name plate a room shown where a bride was sitting on the bed in silver dress and her face was covered with vail and the rose pastels were also shattered on the bed and room was decorated with candle and flowers she was waiting for her husband and was hell nervous then a boy came in the room he was tall and looking dashing in groom attire he closed the door and bride hears that and feels butterflies In her stomach groom came to her.

Groom: listen I know we are married but only for world and in this room we live like strangers I can't love you because I love someone else I marry you just because of my family pressure so don't expect anything from me.

He went to cupborad and take his clothes and went to change bride take off the vail she looks beautiful but she looked more beautiful if she smiled the groom is indeed so unlucky that he didn't even saw her face a girl looks like an angel in her bridal look because her face was brighter because of happiness and the blush of her face make her more beautiful but he missed that chance she was normal there was not a single tear In her eyes she think then Neil came back and she cover her face with the vail and went to change then she came back and saw the groom is standing near the bed so he groom name is Neil Neil khanna a famous business man and bride name was avni mehta her character will disclose slowly Neil saw her she looks down and came to him.

Neil: you sleep on the bed I wi.

Avni: no you sleep on the bed I will sleep somewhere here this is your room so don't adjust yourself you live like before I will not come in your way just consider me as a furniture of you room I will not disturb you I promise.

Neil was shocked how she can be so normal she went to the couch and sleep there leaving Neil in shock he sleep on the bed and avni on the couch.

Next day avni spend most of the time with shweta bebe and avni and Neil went to mehta house on the way avneil didn't utter a word Neil look at avni and she was looking outside Neil stop the car outside the mehta house.

Neil: avni I.

Avni: don't worry I will manage I will say them that you had some office work so you had to go.

Saying this avni went to mehta house and Neil was looking at her he think at night Neil came there they acted good infront of family and avni's family also acted good Don't know who were acting avneil or avni and her family but one thing was sure thar avni was doing acting they had the dinner and came back.

Next day avni came in the room in evening Neil only saw her at breakfast and lunch time avni keeps the tray with cup of coffee.

Avni: I am sorry actually mummy ji asked me to give to coffee otherwise I do come after your sleep.

Neil look at her she turns.

Neil: avni.

She stop and turns Neil got up and came to her.

Neil: can I get your number actually my friends throw a party for the celebration of my wedding so I will come back home late so I will call you if door was closed.

Avni: but I don't have phone.

Neil shocked.

Neil: what?

Avni nods.

Neil: how is this possible now a days small kids have cell phone and you don't have cell phone.

Avni: no I had that keypad phone when I was in college but first thing that I had to do after entering the home was to submit my phone to my mamma then I sat.

Neil: why?

Avni: papa and my grandmother don't like it.

Neil was looking at her first time he felt there is something problem with mehta family but what avni went Neil think he went for the party and came back he saw the door was open he sigh and came to his room he saw avni was sleeping on the couch he look at her she was looking so cute while sleeping he smiles to see her.

Next day avni was setting the bed sheet someone show her the phone she look at the phone then the person it was Neil she stand stright and was looking at him.

Neil: hmmm.

Avni: this is not my phone i told you yesterday I don't have phone.

Neil: I know that's way I bought this for you.

Avni: for me?

Neil: yes.

Avni: but what I do with it?

Neil: what do you mean by what I do with it you can talk to your family with it.

Avni: I can do that from landline phone my mamma also talk to my nanno from landline phone so I can also talk to her I don't need this?

Neil: but avni I bought it for you.

Avni: but why?

Neil: because you are my wife.

Avni shocked.

Avni: wife?

Neil realized what he said they were looking at each other Neil bought the cell phone for her but does she need a phone to talk or human shweta calls avni.

Avni: excuse me.

Avni went and Neil look at the phone which was in his hand she didn't even take it from him he thinks.

Days passes avni always tried to spent most of the time in kitchen or with bebe and Shweta she was an awesome painter so she mostly went to the garden and draw something in a book.

One day Neil came from the office and saw avni she also saw him and
was going from the room he stop her he was standing infront of her.

Neil: avni stop.

Avni look at him.

Neil: avni today my friend invite us for the party he personally asked me to bring you with me.

Avni: bu.

Neil: avni please you will also enjoy there party is in the club.

Avni: I never went to the clubs in my whole life what if I do any mistake there I am fine here you go.

Neil: nothing will happen avni.

Avni was about to say.

Neil: avni many things we try for the first time so come on say yes you will enjoy there.

Avni think and nods.

At night avni get ready Shweta helps her she bought dress for her and help her to get ready Neil came in the room and shocked to see her she was looking breathe taking in her off shoulder dress he was staring her she looks down.

Neil: avni you are looking beautiful.

Avni: thank you.

Neil: can we go now?

Avni nods they went to the night club avni was feeling uncomfortable there Neil introduce his friends to her.

Neil: avni he is kk Sonia juhi Ali vidyut riya Maya mohit and mitali and guys she is my wife avni.

Kk: we know she is your wife.

They smiles Neil also smiled by looking down but juhi was not liking avni because neil was her crush but he don't love her but she always lived in her world that Neil love her Neil's phone rings he made excuse and went to talk and all were busy in their chit chat avni was standing alone.

Juhi: avni have this.

She pass her wine.

Avni: no thank you I don't like it.

Juhi: come on avni drink for once you will like it.

All were busy in their talks so no one was seeing them but that was juhi's thought but one person was looking at them juhi was forcing her and avni was refusing her and it falls at juhi's dress at the same time Neil came there Avni was shocked to see juhi dress.

Neil: avniii.

Avni flinched by hearing his shout.

Neil: what is this behaviour say sorry to her.

Avni looks down.

Avni: I I am sorry.

Kk: Neil why are you shouting at her.

Neil: kk you saw what she did she.

Kk: yes I saw it was not her mistake juhi was forcing her to drink she refused but juhi didnt listen to her I saw everything I was coming to them but before that this happened she had no fault.

The tears fall from avni's eyes she didn't cry when Neil shout she cried when kk took her side when someone took our side and said it's not our mistake then tears find it's way to drop avni sobbed and Neil feels bad.

Juhi: I was giving her juice.

Kk: neil if you have any doubt then glass is still in juhi's hand you can check it that it is juice or something else.

Juhi shocked Neil saw the glass and glare her then he look at avni.

Neil: avni I i am.

Avni: I want to go home.

Neil feels a pinch in his heart he nods.

Neil: ok.

He gave a deadly look to juhi she looks down and avneil went they get in the car Neil wants to talk to her but he thought to give her sometime he will talk to her in the room they came home all were sitting in the hall they saw them Shweta came to them.

Shweta: you both came so soon and what happened to her why her eyes are red did she cried?

Neil: actually mom.

Avni: actually mummy ji I got scared by seeing the drunk people.

Neil was looking at avni and shocked.

Shweta: why and where was you Neil?

Avni: no no he was with me he didn't even leave my hand for a second there but you know me how I am I never went to the club in my whole life it was new for me so I got scared and he took me back.

Neil was looking at her.

Shweta: aww my baby.

Avni: I am going to change.

Shweta: ok.

Avni went Neil want to go but prakash call him.

Prakash: Neil I was waiting for you it's good you came early I want to talk about new project so come with me.

Neil wants to go to avni but how he refused his father Neil nods and they went to the study room where they discuss about the project Neil wants to end all the things as soon as possible but it took them 2 hours then Neil said good night to his dad and came in the room he saw avni is sleeping on the couch he feels bed to see her still she was sobbing in sleep and hearing her sob Neil feel like he should kill himself then he recall all the incidents that she flinch when he shout, the phone that she don't have phone and her reserved nature Neil feels something is wrong he went out and saw shweta is coming to him with a cup of coffee.

Neil: mom i was coming to you I want to talk to you.

Shweta: I also want to talk to you come with me.

There went to sit on the couch it was like a living area they sat.

Shweta: what happened in the club?

Neil shocked.

Shweta: I know avni lied I know her since the time she came in this world even I was the one who took her in the arms first.

Neil shocked.

Neil: you?

Shweta: yes me now tell me the truth.

Neil told her everything she angirly look at him.

Neil: I am sorry mom I had misunderstanding.

Shweta: before shouting you should ask her.

Neil: I am sorry mom but mom how is her family I mean they don't talk much to her never came to meet her why?

Shweta: Neil before your marriage I wanted to tell you about avni and her family but you always ran away from that topic whenever I talk about her you changed the topic or went from there.

Neil was looking at her.

Shweta: honestly speaking I didn't want you to marry her.

Neil shocked.

Shweta: because I knew you don't want to marry but infront of bebe I was helpless and neela also requested me to make avni my daughter in law because avni's father ashish mehta he wanted to fix her alliance with a man of 40 years old.

Neil shocked.

Neil: what?

Shweta nods.

Neil: but why I want to know the truth?

Shweta: me and neela both are best friends since childhood we went to school college together but when we were in our final year her family fixed her alliance and stopped her education her husband ashish loved another girl but because of family pressure he marry Neela and told her on the first night of their wedding that he love someone else and will never give her the right of his wife.

Neil shocked he recall he said the same thing to avni now he start hating himself.

Shweta: ashish daily came home drunk and beats neela badly but his mother never said anything to him she wanted a heir so because of her pressure he.

Shweta stop Neil was looking at her he get angry how can someone be so cruel

Shweta: then destiny had some mercy on neela she get pregnant dayanwati mehta wanted a boy they took care of her even by giving bribe to doctor they asked for the baby whether it is boy or girl but neela requested doctor and she agreed and lied to them then they took care of neela like a queen but after avni's birth they again changed I still remember they went from the hospital by hearing that it's a baby girl they didn't even saw her innocent face I was the one who took her in arms and trust me Neil she was so soft like a feather I still remember that moment her eye were closed her cheeks were like a red tomato and her lips she had a pout she was looking so cute.

Neil smiles.

Shweta: but poor soul her family didn't accept her even they tried to kill her.

Neil shocked.

Shweta: but thanks to their neighbour a lady is living in their neighbour she runs a NGO i told her and she saved avni even because of her they send avni to school and college since childhood avni faced alot ashish beat neela infront of her eyes even he beat her sometimes and lock her in storeroom he never let avni to go to her friends home or wedding functions school functions she spend most of time in her room and draw drawings and by seeing her drawings my heart ached you know Neil what she draw.

Neil was looking at her.

Shweta: she draw a man is beating his wife his daughter, a girl is sitting at the corner of the room by keeping the legs near her chests and hidding her face in it.

Neil's eyes were teary how much an innocent soul faced.

Shweta: she don't have much friends because she was not allowed to go anywhere so she made books and colours her friend Neil today when I heard you want to take her to the club I was afraid what will happen there because she never saw a club in her life and she refused juhi because she very well know the smell of wine and other drinks and the credit goes to ashish mehta.

Neil feels bad he recall how she flinched when he shout and now he understand why she didn't said anything when he said he will not give her the right of his wife because she thought her fate is same like her mother.
