Flashback: (It's been two months since Aaru's birthday and Amu is again at Aaru's house for some holidays.)

It's a dark cloudy night. The wild wind blowing created a cold atmosphere. It looks like a very strong rain is going to come any time.

Yash and Amu are returning from their adventure weekend road trip. This sudden trip is planned by Yash. He wants to go on a road trip along with a crazy campion. Instantly his mind said only one name Amu. When he contacted she agreed instantly and advised him to go on a bike.

They asked Arjun and Aaru to join but Arjun said he had other special plans with his wife. Daksh and Mahira are on their second honeymoon.

Yash and Amu started early morning and had a blast trip. For sure this is one of the best days of their life. They together did many crazy things.

They are returning back to their houses.

As expected rain started pouring like anything in middle. They stopped near a bus stop and rushed under the roof of the bus stop as they are unable to continue the journey further in the heavy rain and wind.

They are already few members standing in the shelter of the bus stop, a group of boys and few street sellers.

Yash noticed the dirty glazes of those boys wandering on Amu. His hand-formed into a fist. He dragged Amu to his other side and securely side hugged her.

Amu startled by his sudden move but seeing him so angry glaring at the boy's group she understood the situation and stayed silent.

"Hot." One of the guys said whistling in her direction.

Yash angry reached the limit before he took a step towards them, Amu stopped him holding his hand and signalling with her eyes to let it go.

"Seems like lover boy is so possessive." Another guy commented.

"94*******0. Baby that's my number. Message me when you're free. I can give you a good company than him." Another guy commented and the others started laughing.

That's it. Yash landed a punch on his face.

"How dare you?" Yash shouted angrily.

The group started fighting back. The fight is becoming big. Amu is not able to control it. She is getting sacred as Yash is equally getting hurt along with others.

Suddenly they heard a police vehicle siren sound and the group started running from the spot.

Yash started chasing them.

Amu is the one who played the sound on her phone.

"Yash, stop it. " Amu shouted holding his angry self.

"I should teach them a lesson." He said angrily.

"You taught enough. They got their dose. Leave it." She said.

"Come let's go. You are equally hurt." Amu said checking his injuries.

"I'm ok." He said stubbornly.

"I can see it. Come, Mr Hero. " Amu said dragging him towards their bike.

She did the driving as she knows Yash can't handle it. She can drive the bikes well.

The night Amu stayed at Yash home taking care of his injuries and the fever he got, as Yash's father is on some business trip and Yash doesn't want Arjun and Daksh to know about this and get worried.

He behaved like a baby refusing to take the medicines and soup. He literally tested Amu's patience levels.

"Ouch! It hurts. " He cried when Amu is cleaning his injuries.

"Why did you jumped into the fight like a hero? Huh. We could have called police and handled the issue more smartly right." Amu scolded attended his other wound.

"Should I sit silently while they are speaking nonsense? How dare they? Who gave them the right to utter whatever comes to their mouth?" He asked.

Their discussion continued expressing their opinion on such issues.

Amu made him a simple soup and made him take the medicines forcefully after having his soup.

The night went forming a little new space in someone's heart.

Flashback ends.

Present:

Yash's pov :

It's been two days since the dinner night when we all together met and enjoyed their dinner together.

My heart is so disturbed from that night. It is burning to see her appreciating another guy.

I'm not able to bear the thought itself. That night while returning back to houses, Mahira talked about shipping that Rakesh guy and Amu. That thought feels so horrible.

For sure that guy is interested in Amu. I can see the dreamy eyes of his. I controlled myself not breaking his teeth which he is displaying unnecessary like he is in the Colgate ad.

He dared to offer her a job. He for sure has a death wish. Amu said she is thinking about the job. What is there to think? His joker face and his idiotic offer.

I'm getting mad with these thoughts.

Today I decided to go to Arjun's house. From the last three years, I reduced my visit to his house as it is bringing many memories. The happiest memories. The crazy things we did.

But now I want to feel those. I want everything back.

I miss her beside me. I miss our closeness. I miss laughing my heart out carefreely.

I started my car with her thoughts.

By the time I reached Arjun's house, Aaru and Arjun are sitting in the garden area. Arjun is making Aaru eat fruits and Aaru is making faces eating them.

I smiled seeing them. They look so cute together.

"Hello, guys. " I said going towards them.

"Hi, Yash. Come sit." Aaru said smiling.

"Finally sir got time to come here. " Arjun said dramatically.

"Very funny bro. " I said sitting beside him.

"How are you doing Aaru? " I asked giving her a chocolate box.

"Wow. Thank you, Yash." Aaru said excitedly.

"Your friend is making me eat all types of fruits from the morning. I got tired of eating his healthy foods." She explained eating chocolate happily.

"Hey, fruits are good for you. I will get you anything you are craving to eat but only after finishing this bowl." Arjun said feeding her a piece of apple.

"Wait let me at least eat one chocolate." Aaru pleaded cutely.

Arjun let her eat one chocolate and next she continued eating the fruit bowl.

"Where are uncle, aunty and Amulya? " I asked.

"Dad and Mom went to meet dad's old friends. They arranged a small get together." Arjun said.

"Do you remember that researcher guy we met at the restaurant?         
Amu went to meet him. I think Rakesh is his name." Aaru said making my blood boil.

"Why?" I blurted.

"I mean for what? " I asked composing myself.

"He again contacted Amu on Facebook after the met. Amu also thinking to try doing research work in her field as she is interested in finding new things." Arjun said.

"So today they planned a meet in a coffee day. " Aaru explained further.

"Hope it goes well. I don't want Amu to leave to some other country again for work." Aaru said thinking deeply.

"Ok then, I'm leaving. Aaru, take care." I said getting up.

"Sit. You just came." Arjun said.

"I remembered some important work. I will visit again." I said making my way out.

I started my car and turned the direction towards the coffee day near by.

I parked my car and rushed into the cafe.

There at the corner table, I observed Amu and that guy sitting. They both are laughing at something that guy is saying.

They are looking like a couple on their date.

I moved towards another table observing them.

They already completed their
Coffee and moved out. I too followed them.

He took her to a mall.

They are searching for something in the ladies section.

Who is he to take her to the shopping?  Why she is encouraging that fellow?

I have literally tolerated one hour of their shopping. They finally finalised a dress and billed it.

I too moved following them to the parking slot.

That guy is starting his car. Seems like he noticed me from the side mirror.

"Hi bro." He said sliding his window down.

I gave him my best-forced smile and acted a little surprised.

"You also came for shopping? " He asked showing with his Colgate add smile.

"No for sightseeing. " I said.

"Nice sense of humour. " He said smiling again.

God! I never hated someone as much as I hate him.

"Where are you going? " I asked controlling my irritation.

"Home. I will first drop Amu." He said.

"Amulya. " I said.

Amu. How dare you call her nickname?

"I mean, I will drop her. I'm also going to her sister's house." I said.

"Oh. But I can drop her." He said looking unsure.

"It's ok. You would have some important works. Come Amu." I said opening her side door not giving them an excuse.

She got out without a choice and followed me bidding that stupid guy bye.

After an uncomfortable silence in the car. I gathering my voice.

"How are you? " I asked.

"Fine. " She said in a single word.

"What about you? " She asked.

"Umm. G..ood. " I said stuttering like an idiot.

"Are you following us?" She asked straightforwardly.

I gulped.

"Why are you shopping with that idiot? " I asked getting mad remembering his closeness with her.

"Why is it matters to you? " She asked.

"A question is not an answer to my question. " I said stubbornly.

"He asked help to select a dress for his sister. He is going to be my colleague. It's nothing wrong with us going shopping. " She said.

"He only knows you to ask help to select a dress for his sister? Why did you agree to his job offer? " I questioned back.

"Yash, what is your problem? What are you trying to do?" She asked looking angry.

"I don't like him with you. " I said stubbornly.

"Don't act like a possessive man. It's don't suit your theory of life." She said getting down as we reached Arjun's house.

Her words triggered my past self to me.

"Amulya, don't act like a jealous girlfriend. I'm not obliged to answer you. I need my know space."

"I already made it clear to you. You are free to go from this relationship. I don't like commitments. I'm a free bird. You can't change me. This is not some movie. "

There is a saying we don't know the value of something until we lost it. The fear of it never going to be the same is more horrible than anything.
