I opened my eyes, just after I had closed them but the world seemed different -
I was sure it was an illusion, for a bright gem shone in the darkness of the room.
It dragged me closer, having a gravity of its own gleaming in the moonless night -
Cold and abandoned. Soon seeds of discord were sown
In my confused mind which tried to decipher that the situation I was in was not getting easier.
I looked out of the window to a bloody red sky
The wind was howling as it passed through the dry leaves -
Screaming that I will never make it out, that this was my doom!
My attention returned to the gem, but alas! I noticed a red glowing pentagram around it,
And the object I had mistaken as the gem?
In reality it was the eye of a fish which was stuck to the ground with a single spear
Poking out of its abdomen.
The noises grew louder, the destruction was at its peak!
I shivered, trying my best to break free,
But my limbs felt like lead, my mouth tasted like ash. Hearing a buzzing sound, I looked up.
There was a single creature that resembled a bee,
Though it had a neon colouring. Despite the alarms ringing in my head,
I reached out to catch it, burning my hand as it's skin acid
Ate through my flesh. Holding my aching charred limb, I looked out again -
A swarm of these demonic creatures were approaching!
In a desperate attempt to shield myself, I somehow landed in the pentagram,
Right in the centre. It was then, I noticed him!
Him - my tormentor, the one who made every night a living hell for me!
His venomous fangs dropped from his jaw as he slithered across the floor
To stand in front of me, a cruel grin on his face. "Little human, you will be mine!"
His voice echoed through every fibre of my being as those bugs surrounded me,
Melting off my clothes, my skin, my flesh, until there was nothing left of me, but my bones.
But even then, He was not satisfied. With a cruel smirk, his gaze bore right into my soul-
"This is just the beginning, the best part is yet to come, carino!"
