In Agra

At Night

Ragini knocked on the door of a house. An elderly lady opens the door and gasps, seeing Ragini, standing in front of her door. "Ragini madam. You are here?" She noticed a baby in her hands.

"Can I come in, Daljeet Ji?"

"Yes please." She said, leaving the way and Ragini went inside after ensuring that no one is seeing her. Daljeet made her sit on the bed. Ragini kept the baby on her lap, without disturbing his sleep.

"What's the matter, Ragini madam? And whose baby is this?" Daljeet asked.

Ragini looked at the baby and asked Daljeeth "Can you adopt this baby as your grandson for me?" Daljeeth was taken aback, hearing Ragini. "I want him to live a normal and happy life and I have no one to believe in it," Ragini whispered.

"Who is this baby, madam?"

Ragini says the truth and Daljeeth gasps, hearing her. "He is in danger. That's why I'm handing over his responsibility to you." Ragini said, getting up from the bed, holding the baby securely. "I hope that I can trust you in this," Ragini said, handing over the baby to Daljeeth. Daljeethi got the baby in her hands securely.

"I will take care of him like my own grandson and I will make sure that no one nears him," Daljeeth said, smiling at the baby.

"I want this to be a secret. No one other than I and you should know about this."

"Promise," Daljeethi said assuring and Ragini smiled, hearing it. Ragini was about to go, but Daljeethi called her. "What is his name?"

Ragini turned and looks at the baby. Caressing his head, she said smiling, "Abhishek Prem Mehra."

While Ragini was going to her home, she saw a hut burning into ashes. Her eyes were filled into tears, praying that he should be safe.

After Three Years

"This is my grandson Abhishek." Daljeet introduces Abhi to Ragini, her husband Neil, and her brother Dharmesh. "I want to educate him, but I don't have enough money for that. That's why I came here asking for a job for me." She said, looking at them.

"What kind of job you would do here?" Neil asked.

"I'm ready to do anything," Daljeet replied.

"Ok. You can work here as a cook along with our other cooks." Ragini said and Daljeeth folds her hands, thanking her.

"Sir, one more help please."

"What?" Neil asked

"Even though I work here, the money I get won't be enough for me to educate him."

"So, what do you want us to do?" Dharmesh asked with attitude.

"Can you please take care of his education? I will make sure that I repay all the money back, once he gets educated." Daljeet said.

"Do you think this is a charity or what?" Dharmesh asked angrily.

"I will take care of his education. You can join tomorrow." Ragini said and got up from her sofa. Daljeet folds her hands, saying thanks.

"Let him work here after his school time. He can start paying his debt by working here from now onwards." Neil said and Ragini gets angry, hearing it.

"What are you doing? How can you make a kid work here? You know that Prem bhai doesn't like this." Ragini asked angrily.

"Prem is no longer the King of this mansion. I'm and it's my decision. I didn't stop you when you said that you would educate him. Now, you don't stop me." Neil said and went from there.

Ragini turned and looked at Daljeet and little Abhi, helplessly.

Abhi was cleaning the floor, along with the other workers. Ragini was looking at him from a faraway distance with tears in her eyes. Seeing Abhi as a worker here makes her heart sank. Knowing the fact and seeing him living as a worker here, gives her heart even more pain.

While Abhi was cleaning, he saw a ball, rolling towards him. Abhi took the ball and looked in the direction of the ball came and saw a boy, coming towards him. Abhi gave him the ball and the boy gets it with a smile on his face. "Thank you." The boy said.

"You're welcome," Abhi said and continues to work.

"What is your name?"

"Abhi. What is your name?"

"King," King said and Abhi smiled at him. "Will you come and play with me?"

"He is a servant." King and Abhi turned towards Dharmesh, hearing his voice. Ragini's blood boiled, hearing it. "You can't play with him, King beta. He is a servant, not your friend."

"I want to play with him," King asked with his puppy face. "If he is our servant, then he has to follow my order. Abhi, I'm ordering you to come and play with me." King said and held Abhi's, taking him along with him.

After King and Abhi went from there, Ragini marched towards Dharmesh angrily. "Bhai. He is a kid. You don't have to tag him as a servant."

"He is a servant. By the way, why are you giving so much importance to that Kid? Is there is something behind it?" Dharmesh asked suspiciously. Ragini gulps, seeing his suspicious look. "Are you hiding anything Ragini?"

"Nothing like you think. He is just a kid. That's why I spoke like that." Ragini said and went from there.

'God, Dharmesh shouldn't get suspicious about Abhi. I have to keep Abhi away from Dharmesh as much as possible.' Ragini thought.

After Twenty Four Years

Ragini was standing in front of the idol's statue, folding her hands, praying.

Ragini's pov

There are only six months for Abhi's birthday. I have to keep up my promise.  But, still, now there are many dangers surrounded by Abhi and once Dharmesh comes to know Abhi's true identity, he would attempt to kill Abhi. Please God, keep him safe from all the dangers as you kept him for these many years.

End of Pov

"Ragini mam..." Ragini turned and smiled, seeing Abhi, standing near the entrance in his formals with a smile on his face. "Good morning mam."

"Abhi, come in," Ragini said smiling. Abhi comes inside and falls on her feet, getting her blessings. "Is King ready?"

"No mam. King sir said that he would be ready in five minutes. That's why I came here before he could come." Abhi said and Ragini smiles at him.

After Abhi completed his education, he started to work as King's driver and his secretary. Neil has passed away ten years before due to cardiac arrest.

"How is dadi?"

"She is amazing. But nowadays, she drinks a lot of her cough syrup which makes me a little worried about her." Abhi said. "I even tried to hide it from her, but somehow she finds it and drinks it without my knowledge. And with her criminal brain, she fills it with water so that I won't find it." Abhi complained and Ragini chuckled, hearing him.

"If I meet her next time, I will warn her."

"That sounds great ma'am. Okay, ma'am. I will go and meet sir." Abhi said and went from there. Ragini looked at his figure disappearing and sighs sadly.

Abhi came to the living room and saw King coming down from the stairs. "Good morning sir." Abhi wished him.

"Good morning Abhi. Let's go." King ordered, walking and Abhi followed him.

When they reached the parking lot, Abhi opens the door for King at the back seat and King settles inside. After closing the door, Abhi goes to the driver seat and starts the car.

Ragini, who was seeing this from her window, feels bad for Abhi. 'You are a replica of him, Abhi. You are happy with what you have and there is always a smile on your face and you do your work heartfully.'

In Singh Enterprises

Abhi and King enter the office. Everyone there wished King and he went to his cabin. Abhi went to his place and get settles. He noticed Shreya, one of the employees, approaching him with a flirty look.

"Hi, Abhi..." She said and Abhi just nodded and starts to work. "Won't you say hello?"

"Hello," Abhi said bluntly.

"You look handsome."

"Okay"

"That's it?"

"What do you expect me to say when you say the same thing again and again?" Abhi asked, looking into his tablet.

"You can say how much beautiful I look," Shreya said in a sexy tone.

"Sorry, but I don't have the habit of lying," Abhi said, and Purab, who was standing near, bursts into a laugh. Shreya stomped her foot and went from there.

"That is ultimate," Purab said and Abhi chuckled, hearing it. "Why don't you get committed man? Find a girl, have fun."

"I have many important things to do other than dating someone," Abhi replied.

"Don't you know that you are boring at times?"

"I know and I don't care."

"Anyways, I will go to my place before the boss would shout at me," Purab said and went to his seat and Abhi continues to work.

At Night

Abhi was driving the car and King was going through his tablet. "Abhi is there are any appointments after this?"

"No sir..." Abhi replied.

"Good," King said, keeping his tablet aside and leans towards Abhi's seat. " Go to Barracks Pub," King said and Abhi became horrified, hearing it.

"Sir, Ragini ma'am would kill me if I take you there."

"Don't open your mouth and show your loyalty. Let's go and enjoy there, buddy." King said, stretching his hands and legs.

"But sir..."

"No buts and ifs. Go to Barracks." King ordered and Abhi continued to drive.

Both of them entered the Pub. King wrapped his hands around Abhi's shoulder. "For the next few hours, we are buddies. Okay?" King said and Abhi nodded. "Let's party." King went to the crowd and starts to dance. Abhi sighs and sat on the nearby chair, tiredly.

King was dancing happily drinking, whereas Abhi was sitting idle, swiping his mobile phone. His mind was kept on thinking about one thing, he wants to go to his home and jump on his bed, drifting to sleep. Abhi closed his eyes tiredly, drifting to sleep. Suddenly, he opened his eyes, hearing a melodious song of a beautiful female voice.

King, who was dancing, turned his grace towards the stage, hearing the song. He got mesmerized, seeing a beautiful girl, standing on the stage singing. King smiles, seeing the beautiful girl.

Abhi, on the other side, tried to look at the girl's face. As it was crowded, he was not able to see the girl's face clearly. He got up and was about to move further, but his phone starts to ring. Sighing, Abhi went outside the pub, attending the call.

"She is beautiful and would be perfect for me," King whispered, looking at her.
