I woke with a start from my nightmare. As much as I wanted to believe everything was my imagination, I knew it wasn’t. I still could not get over the fact that he didn’t care for me as much as I cared for him. That he didn’t see me as his partner, as his equal. It stung. I didn’t know what to do anymore. Ishu was still getting over her trauma and Ab-, no, I don't even want to think about him, wanted to send her abroad. What good will that do? She needs her  family now. And if she goes, then what am I going to do?
Memories flash through my eyes. Memories of me with my parents. Memories of me with him and Ishu. Memories of my life when everything was perfect.
