I'm alone.

I see you. But you don't seem to see me.

It's as if I weren't even there.

You pass by me as though I were gone.

I lock myself in my room at night. Staring up at the sky, wondering.

Maybe I was meant to be alone.

It's a moonless night.

Even the moon has abandoned me. The stars are gone, lost behind the gentle cover of clouds.

How I wish I were a star.

Shining up there, above all the world. Not a care in my shimmering body. I would burn so bright, I would illuminate the night. Maybe...I could be that one who would be there for someone like me.

I curl up, crying. There are so many things in thinking, so many feelings I wish to share.

But nobody to share it with.

So I say goodnight.

Even though there's nobody to hear me.
