1. Will you write a sequel? Also, I need grown up Behati and Keith!!!!😍😍😍😍😍

-Look, 'My Heart Hates Me' is officially, fucking over. Like I hate this book and I won't touch it. I'm never associating myself with this shit again. My dark period ends with this book! (Fingers crossed)

2. I sometimes feel like you're manipulating us, Dego. This makes me a bit scared.

-Authors have the ability to manipute people's mind. So, if you feel like you're thinking exactly how I want you to, let it be >:-)

3. What's the meaning of the last line from the last chapter?

-"I know it was you."
Read the last line of the first chapter-- It's the same.
Well, it's nothing deep really. "You" here refers to an angel. So, when Behati saw wings fall down, she thought it must be an angel hence saying "I know it was you."

4. Behati is which type of angel?

-Don't know. Don't care either. I'm not even sure if she's an angel or a human. I treasure my brain cells.

5. I loved Ethan's character development. Could you please explain how you managed to write such a realistic character?

-As I told before, I'm inspired by people. I have known someone who was really arrogant, capricious and cold, but then as we talked, he mellowed down. He became more polite and yeah his naughty side showed up too. So, I based Ethan off of him. Are we still friends? No.

6. Can you explain more about Pagpag?

-Let's put it in the form of a report.
Manila, Philippines – In a country where over 8 million are food-poor, food scavenging has sadly become a norm for many families. 

Others call it trash, but for them, it’s their “meal of the day.” Sautéed with a bit of oil, garlic, and a choice between patis or toyo, are various parts of fried chicken. However, what remains of the chicken are mostly just bones.

In the Philippines, these recycled meals are called “pagpag,” which roughly translates to “dusted off food.” Families scour dumpsites for what appears to be “still edible.”

The sound of garbage trucks, carrying leftovers from fast food chains, signals meal time. Families clean the leftover food by dusting it off (pagpagin). To be extra sure, others wash the leftovers before boiling or frying – modifying someone’s dinner leftovers into someone else’s breakfast.

Pagpag is also a business. Some food scavengers sell their pagpag, sometimes giving discounts to neighbors and patrons.

Health professionals warn against the dangers of eating pagpag. They are at risk of getting salmonella and other illnesses. Eating nothing but pagpag can be detrimental to children’s health for they are not getting the nutrients needed for proper growth and development.

Despite these warnings, some families say they have no other choice. It’s either pagpag or nothing at all.

7. Angels never fall for different people. Will Death fall for Fate, since he already loved Margaret?

- Sadly, no he won't. Because yes, angels fall for only one person. None other can ever replace them. So that means, Fate's love towards Lucus will forever be unrequited. Sad I know but harsh reality.

8. Why does Death's key turn to zero?

-Good deeds will save you from your sins. Lucus broke rules but he was able to win people's trust. He sacrificed himself for others-- And that became his repentance.

9. Why are there so many psychopaths in one book? Ethan, Ruso and Kurosava.

- Correction, Ethan and Ruso are NOT psychopaths, only Kurosava is. Ruso is a perfectionist while Ethan suffers from bipolar disorder and Post Traumatic Stress disorder. Read chapter 0 to understand the difference between all of them.

10. What are those panic attacks Ethan faces? How were you able to describe them so effortlessly?

- Again, experience. Plus, I have studied psychology. The panic attacks are a manifestation of post traumatic stress disorder. He recalls bits of his past and acts them out subconsciously. Those bipolar symptoms are due to his PTSD. If you want to know more, I'll just throw you a link~

11. Why is Ethan mentally and physically normal even though he is a result of incest?

-It will be a bit difficult to understand if you don't have a Biology background. But I'll try my best to be a good sensei :)

It is because he is the first generation child-- Meaning that his parents were not a result of incest. He is the first offspring who was born through incest-- Everyone before him in his family lineage were born through intracrossing and not through incest.

First generation children are relatively normal-- It gets bad when you continue incest for like four to five generations since then the recessive genes surface and the genetic mutations are visible.

First generation children are usually smarter than the average population-- That's why Ethan was very smart and functional even after those implants were given to him.

(Now I'm not promoting or supporting incest-- It's just a story. Please don't get enlightened-- In some first generation cases, the phenotype can be degrading and can cause severe mutations. It's just a matter of chance)

12. Author nim, can you speak Tagalog? Mahal kita 😙😙

- Maaari ko ngunit kaunti lamang. I'm not fluent. Mahal din kita.

13. Who is the antagonist of the story? 😕😕 I'm so confused.

-Ethan, is the antagonist. Vivian is the protagonist. Rest everyone is supporting. If you're surprised that Ethan is the antagonist-- Don't be. If I didn't tell his back story-- He would gain more hate than sympathy.

Just because this antagonist had his story unravel, doesn't mean he is not the bad guy here. But antagonists can become protagonists too as you saw by the end of the story :))
