CHAPTER 43

MAANYA POV

"I can stay back..." Aditi mumbles.

"No please don't, You know she will be upset with herself if you miss this opportunity," I reply adding sugar to my boiling tea.

"But I feel guilty, leaving her like this." She groans.

"Adi?! We all know this is a lifetime opportunity for you. You were so excited about this day. Then what happened now?!" I ask agitated with her whining, lost in thoughts about Paakhi.

"You are exaggerating about this being a lifetime opportunity." Her cheeks flush with ruddiness.

"You going to the most talked over fashion show is not a big deal?" I ask overstating.

"As a helper! And I will be backstage for the whole time." I hear the despair in her voice.

"D! Paakhi always says that it doesn't matter what part of your wish comes true, you should enjoy every moment of that part, no matter how big or small." She smiles at my words and her giddiness return.

"Okay then, take care of my angel and if anything happens call me right away." I nod and walk her to the door.

As she enters the elevator, I close the door and walk into the kitchen to take the tray to Paakhi's room.

I knock twice and enter with a hopeful smile. But it instantly vanishes when I see Paakhi leaning on her window, what bothers me is her attire from yesterday night and the dark circles marring her tranquil face.

"Did you even sleep?" I ask worriedly.

She stands still, lost in her thoughts.

I settle the plate on the table beside me and walk towards her. I gradually put my hand on her shoulder and tug her around.

"Are you okay?" She nods her head and looks at the tray I brought with me.

"I brought you your favourite masala tea and bread Pakoda's" I announce happily.

"Thank you Maanu but I'm not hungry." She says and strolls towards her bed.

"What?! I woke up early and prepared all these for you! And you are not hungry?!" I ask dramatically.

She rolls her eyes at me and says, "This hardly takes 20 minutes."

"My time matters and not my sentiments! " I fake sob.

"Stop being a drama queen, and come here." She says slightly smiling.

I rush towards her with the tray in my hands and settle it down between us.

She picks up one Pakoda and eats it, I start talking about the new tea leaves we bought and all other nonsense, to keep her distracted.

After we finish off the last piece on the plate, Paakhi asks  "Where is Aditi?"

"You remember her after eating everything?" She flushes and I laugh.

"Today is her day helping in that fashion show," I inform collecting the small bread crumbs from her bed.

"Oh yeah, I forgot, how rude of me." She mumbles sadly.

"Hey,  you were occupied with your own troubles." I ensure her.

Before she could say anything her mobile noose.
We both look around for her phone, I even kneel and check under her bed.

"Got it!" She exclaims and picks up the call.

Till the time she is talking, I pick up our empty tray and keep it aside.
I instantly turn around when I hear her repenting on phone.
She hangs up with despair and humiliation.

"It was Raman bhai, asking for his payment," Paakhi mumbles with anxiety.

"What?!" I blurt out worried. "What are we supposed to do now?" I ask agitated, we don't have any money now and our payment from yesterday's event is an enigma.

"Should we ask Yash -" I hopefully ask but the shock and remorse on her face stop me mid-sentence.

"What happened yesterday?" I implore walking towards her and holding her hands in mine.

"You always tell us that sharing your problems with others helps you in more ways than you can think. It may help you regain your composure, remind you of your good old self, give you new perspectives, and help you develop the insights. When you share your problems with others, you feel relieved. So follow your advice." I scold her when I see her walking off.

"You are right! So yesterday you know how Saurav -" I see her cringe at his name." He cornered me and said things about my past, he knows everything about my past." I sit in shock when I hear her.
That Man searched Paakhi's past.

"He said how I would have been a better stripper-" with her each word my anger flare. I know how uncomfortable Paakhi is about her past. I remember that day when she told us about her past, the day both Aditi and I saw a vulnerable child in the body of an adult.

Paakhi is a strong figure in our lives, she gives us strength. But that day, each of her teardrop comprised of sorrow and pain.

"Did he talked about Raghbir Ji?" I ask scared, but when she nods and a lone tear trail down her blotchy face I instantly decided to punch that douchebag.

I hug her and wipe off her tears.
"He...He-"

Before she could explain further, the doorbell rang.

"You go wash your face, I will check the door," I whisper and walk to the door. Part of me is curious about what happened yesterday.

I open the door to gaze at the most unexpected person I can imagine.

"Hi? Umm..." He smiles dubiously and ravels his long beautiful hair.

I uncertainly welcome him inside and fetch him a glass of water.

"I wanted to talk to you guys." He announces looking around as if looking for something specific.

"Yes?" I ask taking a seat in front of him.

"Paakhi?" He mumbles.

"She is not well and is resting in her room." I make an excuse.

And at the same Paakhi exit her room.

"Hi!" Mr.Yash exclaims seeing her.

Paakhi smiles and takes a seat beside me.

"How do you feel now? Maanya told me that you were feeling low." He explains when Paakhi looks at him uncertainly.

"I'm fine now, thank you for asking," she replies.

I notice her hair is now pulled back in a bun and she changed into her oversized hoodie and pyjamas.

"Look girls, I'm really sorry about yesterday. I didn't know that Saurav changed your decorations and everything. I was out of town for a meeting and when I returned I was informed about everything." He explains himself.

"Mr.Yash, we signed a contract stating our terms and conditions, among which one was that we should not be asked to change theme after buying of supplies. Right?" Paakhi inquire.

Yash nods, So Paakhi continues, "Not only the decorations were changed, our cake was replaced too. We were even asked to serve. Though it was not a problem. "

I smile in triumph when I hear testimonies from her.

"I agree, so according to the deal, here is your payment plus penalty," Mr.Yash announce, passing over the cheque.

My eyes widen in awe looking at the amount, it was double the amount we fixed.
I pass the cheque to Paakhi and say, "Mr.Yash, I think you entered the wrong amount, it is way too much."

"Not at all Ms.Maanya, after adding the penalty of agreement violation, this is the amount." He answers.

I thank God and look at Paakhi to see her eyes shining with relief.

"Thank you so much, Mr.Yash, we can never thank you enough." She expresses her gratitude.

"First of all call me Yash and second if you feel so, then do me a favour in return." He suggests.

I look at Paakhi and she looks at me before answering him.

"What is it?"

"Have dinner with me. Then everything will be sorted." He proposes. I look at him stunned. He just asked Paakhi on a date.

I look at Paakhi hopefully, she can't refuse this handsome, kind man.

She looks at me with questioning eyes and I nod my head referring that she should accept it.

She nods her head and says "I will."

Yash's face instantly lights up like a Christmas tree. I jump and dance internally, anticipating their blossoming relationship.

"Okay then, I will text you the place and time." He announces getting up and walking towards the door.

We follow him to the door and when he opens the door, a guy in a black suit hand him a box of chocolate and a rose.

"This is an apology gift from me to you." He says looking at Paakhi. Paakhi blush under his scrutinizing gaze.

I promptly grab my phone and message Aditi about Paakhi's date. Sadly she is offline.

He takes his leave and as our apartment door shut I shriek in excitement.

"He is so into you!!!" I gush.

"It is not like that," she mumbles, still blushing.

"Oh well? Then explain a dinner date and these chocolates and flower?" I pry.

"Umm...he would have invited you too..."

"But he didn't! Why?" I pry again, enjoying Paakhi's uneasiness.

"I don't know! And thinking about it now, I think I shouldn't have accepted that." She mumbles agitating.

"Why? You don't like him?" I ask sadly.

"He's a nice guy but I'm not ready for a relationship." She lets out.

"Maybe it's time you open to these things, he is a nice man, he will keep you happy." I encourage her.

"No, you don't understand I can't be with any man right now, because I already -" she stops mid-sentence.

"Oh no, not again, this is the second time today, " I whine walking towards the door and opening it.

"I thought you will be happy to see me, guess not?!" Arhaan pouts.

My face instantly lits up seeing him.

He walks forward and greets me with a peck.

"Hi, beautiful! How are you?" He asks closing the door behind us and tugging me towards the living room.

"Hi Paakhi, I hope you are okay!"  Before I could reply he sees Paakhi in the room and greets her.

Seeing your best friend and boyfriend getting along is every girl's dream and mine is coming true.

"Ya, sorry for the inconvenience I caused." She replies after they break their hug.

"let yesterday be, and enjoy these yummylecious croissants today." He exclaims.

"Is it even a word?" Paakhi laughs off.

"I don't care if it is or not, for me they are Yummylecious." He jests.

I smile seeing how Aarhan is trying to make Paakhi laugh.

"Okay, let me make some coffee and then we can enjoy them." She calls out from the kitchen.

"Umm...Beautiful?" He calls out from his position on the couch.

"Yes?" I answer taking a seat beside him.

"Did someone visit you guys?" He asks playing with my hair.

I lean into him and ask confuse, "why do you ask that?" I ask curiously.

He stays silent for a second and then replies in a quivering voice, "This place smells like a man deodorant."

"Are you jealous?!" I ask giddily.

"No of course not, why will I be?" he answers while looking around.

"Hey handsome, there was nobody around," I answer while placing a kiss on his rosy cheeks.

"Oh yes! now I remember that just a few minutes ago, Mr.Yash visited us." I answer.

"Yash?! Who is he? How do you know him? Did he talk to Paakhi?!" Arhaan's demeanour instantly switches from relaxed to freaking out.

I look at him confused, "I...I mean, who is this Yash?" He replies looking at me embarrassed.

"The event we organized yesterday was in his hotel. He came to give us our cheque." I explain still curious about what happened earlier.

"oh... " he nods his head in understanding.

"But why did you ask if he talked to Paakhi or not?" This is the weirdest thing about what he said.

"She was upset yesterday, right? So I thought that she should be left alone and if anyone disturbed her?" He clarifies. I nod in understanding and smile "I love how you care about everyone."

"I love that about you too." He mumbles kissing me.

"Uhuh... Sorry to disturb you guys but Coffee and Croissants are waiting." Paakhi announces walking in with a tray.

She settles the tray in front of us and grabs her mug and croissant.
I fetch Arhaan and me a cup and we all munch on our snacks.

"So I take everything at your event got successfully finished off as you guys received your payment." He starts a conversation.

I peek at Paakhi to infer her reaction but thankfully she just nodded and said, "Ya you can say that yesterday was a mess, first they changed everything, made us serve and then that pig insulted me. So everything finished off successfully after we received our payment."

I stare in horror at Paakhi, she almost let out everything.

"What?!" Arhaan exclaim, "Who insulted you Paakhi? Was it Yash?" He asks her.

Paakhi understood that she over said and is now looking at me for help.

"He is no one, let that be. Let's not talk about it." She tries clearing the situation.

But my dear Arhaan is an adamant man.

"No don't try to shrug it off, Paakhi you are like my sister, I need to take care of you." He confesses.

Aww...how sweet of him!!

"Really? Do you take care of your sisters?" Paakhi chides.

I instantly grab her hand, interrupting her.

"Yes? Why Paakhi?" He asks her hurt.

"Nothing, she is just sleep-deprived and therefore bluffing," I try handling the situation.

"No Maanya, Paakhi never say something she doesn't mean. So tell me what is it?" He persists.

"No Arhaan, it isn't..." I jump into the conversation.

"No Maanya, it is time, think about that girl suffering alone..." Paakhi exclaim. I think about Sana and shut my mouth.

"What are you girls talking about?! What girl? Who is suffering?" Arhaan asks baffled.

"Arhaan, Do you know about your Sister Sana? Is she happy in her marriage? Did you ever tried talking to her?" Paakhi asks.

Arhaan looks at her stunned, "I...I " he looks remorseful.

"She asked us to stop snooping in her lives, so we stopped looking after her." He confesses.

"We don't know what happened but we have observed that she is suffering, she has the signs of domestic violence victim," I tell, he looks mad, So I step forward and take his hand in mine

"How do you know that?" He asks frightened.

"We worked with Women's rescue center a few years ago, so we learned signs of a victim. " Paakhi clarifies.

Arhaan loses his balance and tumbles on the couch.
"We - we never realized she was suffering, she always showed as if she's happy. She even supports that bastard Saurav." He mumbles regretfully.

Paakhi walks towards us and lays an assuring hand over his shoulder.

"It's never too late to help," she encourages.

"You are right, Viren was right, that bastard never deserved our sister. I'm going to help my sister. But first, let me call Viren and Shaurya." He exclaims and steps towards the balcony door.

"I think we should change and be ready, anything can happen now," I suggest.

Paakhi agrees with me and walks towards her room.
I follow her and enter my room.

All the while hoping for everything to be okay.

Aditi POV.

"I can stay back..." I ask, feeling guilty leaving Paakhi.

"No please don't, You know she will be upset with herself if you miss this opportunity," Maanu replies nonchalantly.

"But I feel guilty, leaving her like this." I groan confuse about my decision.

"Adi?! We all know this is a lifetime opportunity for you. You were so excited about this day. Then what happened now?!" She chides, probably irritated by my whining.

"You are exaggerating about this being a lifetime opportunity," I reply embarrassingly.

"You going to the most talked over fashion show is not a big deal?" She exaggerates.

"As a helper! And I will be backstage for the whole time." I exclaim disappointedly.

"D! Paakhi always says that it doesn't matter what part of your wish comes true, you should enjoy every moment of that part, no matter how big or small." I smile hearing her words, not hers but Paakhi's. She is the most optimistic person in my life.

"Okay then, take care of my angel and if anything happens call me right away," I demand and walk off. Excited to be at the Fashion show.

As I enter the elevator, and then the cab, my thoughts are clouded with famous designers and stylists I will get to see.

When Mrs.Moore informed me that she recommended me for a part-time job. I was ready to make excuses but when she told me it was at Delhi couture week, I couldn't deny it.

Reaching the venue, I grab my Id card from my bag and wear it. The dangling card around my neck swoon with the air.

"Staff entry is that side." I hear a sweet voice beside me.

I glance at the owner of the voice to see a beautiful brunette with red highlights. She was adoring the same black dress as me, but the Multi-layer Gold Silver Tone Curb-Link Chain Choker Necklace make her slender neck look accentuated.

"Thank you," I reply and step towards the entrance.

"I'm Lilly, " she proclaims walking beside me.

"Hi, I'm Aditi," I reply. We stroll inside the foyer and fill in the formalities.

After signing some papers we were asked to stand aside with other staff members. There are at least 200 staff members.

"I just hope we get to work backstage," Lilly whispers to me.

"I thought we were hired to work backstage only, "I inquire nervously.

" No, we can get any job from cleaning washrooms to working backstage." She informs.

Instantly I feel a ripple of panic, all my previous excitement fling into fright.

"I don't want to clean washrooms at Delhi couture," I groan.

"Me too sissy, let's hope we get to work backstage." She prays.

I nod and wait for our roles. Meanwhile, I get to know that Lilly just like me is a salesgirl at one of the high-end boutiques.
I like her easy-going personality.

"Attention everyone." A voice resonates in the foyer.

"Thank you for assisting at Delhi Couture, we are now going to assign you your workplaces. I know most of you came here to work backstage but most designers bring their assistants with them. So we sadly have no place there." Everyone in the room groan, hearing the management head's announcement.

My mood instantly subverts, "Now, we don't have time to whine, so let's get started. I'm going to announce your name and under whatever category, it falls, please stand under that division." He announces indicating to many divisions stating, cleaners, kitchen staff, food court, bar, technical stuff and welcoming.

He starts announcing names and as each division gets full my heartbeat increases anticipating my role for today. I sigh in relief when the kitchen division gets full.

"Now only serving, cleaning and welcoming is left," Lilly exclaims excitedly.

I nod in anticipation and wait for my name.

"Suhani Mishra, Ayushi Kaul, Vaibhav Singh, Karan Kumar and Lilly Mathur at Serving Division. There you will be assigned to your specific work." Commentator announce.

Lilly walks towards her division and stands among the other 30 people.

Now only cleaning and welcoming division are left. My hands start sweating in nervousness and I start chanting god's name.

"Samarth Goel, Amoli, Ananya Verma, Anika Kapoor, Sahil Deshwal, Salman Khan and Aditi Shekhar proceed to cleaning Division." My breath stuck for a second when I heard my name.

But thankfully it was some other Aditi.

"And now you guys move to Welcoming Division." He rerefers to us, 15 people.

I walk after others and stand under my division board.

"Hi guys, I'm Monica, This division's head. So I'm going to explain some pointers and make sure you remember them because Guests coming here are very important people. You don't want to upset them, right?" The boss lady orders.

I listen to her carefully and scoff at some points, such as when she said that don't fangirl over any guest. Act cool and poise.

I'm feeling like I'm at an etiquette class, learning to be a 'woman'.

"So, Ms.Aditi you will also take the guest to their respective seats," she orders and walks off.

"I'm very disappointed." Someone whine beside me.

I look beside myself and see a beautiful curvaceous girl. She is short like me but cute.

"Ya, me too. Let's just get this over with." I mumble and walk towards the entrance.

While passing through the Mirror wall I quickly took a peek and straightened my hair.

"My legs are killing me," the girl from earlier who I get to know is Sameera, whines in my ear.

I nod in understanding fake smiling at another guest. For the last two hours, I'm doing the only thing I hate the most, I hate to pretend and therefore I don't work at Cafe. But here I have been perpetrating fake pleasantries and enthusiasm

"Good Afternoon, welcome to Delhi couture, Please follow me, I will take you to your seats." Sameera conveys to the couple.

I see a group of good-looking guys entering, they stop at the security table and show their passes.

I look around me to see, I have to be the one to attend them.

I take a deep breath and start my monologue, "Good Afternoon, welcome to Delhi couture, Please follow me, I will take you to your seats."

As I commence walking, I feel an ebb of intense stare, I glance behind me to catch a glance of those beautiful mesmerizing eyes of Mr.jerk.

He looks surprised and I smirk, enjoying the effect I have on him.

I look into my list and see they have a private balcony overlooking the stage.

"Please take your seats, the show will be starting in a few minutes and our server will be here with your refreshments," I announce and leave.

"Okay guys, everyone is here, so don't stand out here, go inside the main hall and assist others." Boss lady orders and leave.

"Now we have to serve too?" A guy groans. Everyone put forward their protest but I'm excited.

"What made you smile?" Sameera inquire.

"I will get to see the whole show, I came here for that only," I exclaim.

"When you say it like this, Im getting excite too." She proclaims.

We walk inside the main hall and stand aside.

I enjoy the opening theme of Winter wonderland, but just hope this interference stops.

"Water please," another request.

I walk towards the bar and grab the tray full of water bottles. I serve around and get to look at some famous designers.

I set the empty tray on the bar and stand aside.

"Now most interesting segment is coming, you remember that new upcoming designer,  Avnish Mehra?!  He is presenting tonight. " Sameera whisper in my ear.

I excitedly look ahead waiting for his fashion walk.
His clothes are the trendiest and economic.

The presenter announces, Avnish Malhotra and he walks upstage. His defined looks and poise style make every girl swoon.

I'm lost in his mellifluous voice when a desperate voice disturbs me.
"Aditi!!! Please help me." She desperately asks.

"Not now Lilly," I shrug her and look ahead.

"Aditi please, I need your help," she whines blocking my view.

"What Lilly?" I groan in irritation.

"Please serve the guests on the 3rd balcony. I need to use the washroom right now." She informs and leaves handing me her tray.

I look at the tray and then at Avnish Mehra, sad about abandoning him.

I huff and walk upstairs towards the 3rd balcony and remember that it is the same balcony where Shaurya and his friends are.

I step forward and see them all sitting around and talking among themselves. The dim light gives this area an intimate ambience.

"Excuse me, I brought everyone drinks," I announce and stroll towards the centre table and place all the glasses on it.

After arranging everything nicely, I step back and say, "Can I get you anything else?"

"Yes please, " a guy to my left calls.

I look expectantly at him, "Can I have a beautiful lady like you?" He comments.

I don't know why but his comment didn't upset me, rather it bemused me, his tone sound gullible.

"Sorry, sir it is off-limits," I reply back.

His friends tease around and I see him looking embarrassed.
I feel bad for him so I say, "Here, it is off-limits here sir."

He instantly sits straight and smirks at his friends saying, "Told ya, girls can't resist me."

I chuckle and shortly feel heat wt the back of my neck.
The goosebumps that ensue reflect only one person that has that effect on me.

"I'll be back, Need to use the loo." He is behind me. His warm breath at the nape of my neck ignites a spark.

I instantly excuse myself and walk out of the balcony.

Just as I take a step out, I'm pulled aside. My back hit the wall, Heat rise from my stomach to my chest and my heart definitely skips a beat as Shaurya’s lips are closing in. His smell fills my nostrils to the point of near brain death. He is so close. That is it – at this very moment his lips brush over mine like a wave of warmth and all my body reacts to him instinctively. My toes curl, my eyes zero in on his, his smell even more hypnotic. The taste of him… it silenced my thoughts and made me want more.

My whole body tingle, the feel of his frame leaning on mine as his arms wrap around me feel nearly forbidden. He pulls me in, claiming my mouth again, hungry and intense, until my knees give in. By the time I became aware of my fingers, they had already slipped under his shirt, his skin smooth and radiating heat.

"You were right!" He whispers in my ear.
His hand trots over my breasts, the cloth in between elicits sparks.

"Huh?" I blurt, Relishing the sparks he ignites with his touch.

"You are off-limits to all those assholes, you are mine to cherish, mine to rave and mine to devour." He exclaims, nipping my ear.

I grab his hair and pull him back, "Show me," I moan.

He growls and hoists me, I wipe my legs around him and sensually open his button.

I don't remember how it happened, but we managed to break one vase, two glass candle holders and a set of china dishes.

"I can't believe we did this," he laughs looking around.

"Ya, we do it like monkeys." I tease.

"Wild monkeys babe," he interrupts causing me to giggle.
I untangle my hair and straighten up my dress.

"I'm going to leave now, " I mumble repenting to leave.

He just nods.

I dawdle for few seconds, wishing to prolong this moment.
But when he doesn't say anything, I turn around.

"Wait!" When he calls out, a surprising smile creeps up my face.

"Yes?" I ask excitedly.

"Your phone," he said inferring to my phone in his hand.

I nod disappointingly and Snatch it from him.

"Woah tigress," he teases.

I shrug him and walk off.

My mood immediately dulls, I check my phone for the time but see a text from Maanu.

Thinking it is related to Paakhi, I read the text and laugh when I see Paakhi got a date.

"It is creepy you know, standing in the vacant foyer and laughing alone." Shaurya whisper.

"Paakhi got a date." I shriek excitedly.

"What?" Shaurya asks stunned.

"I knew it, they are finally together." He hops in excitement.

"Who? whom are you talking about?" I ask amused.

"You will know, " he shouts excitedly.

"Stop bluffing, tell me." I pry.

Before he could answer, his phone buzz.

"I know, I know!" He exclaims on the phone.

"About the date?!" Instantly his tone shift from excited to confuse.

"Umm..." he looks at me and then murmurs something on the phone.

I try hearing what he said but I couldn't.

"Now? But -" his demeanour is now nervous and freaked out.

"Is everything okay?" I ask worriedly.

"I don't think so, Arhaan sounded tensed." He informs.

"I need to leave, See you later." He calls out and runs off.

I immediately call Maanya and nervously wait for her to answer.

"Aditi, I'll call you later, everything is a mess right now." She answers and hangs up.
Her voice sounded apprehensive.

"Aditi!" I hear Sameera calling me.

I look ahead to see her rushing towards me.
"Where were you? " she inquires.

"Why? Was anyone looking for me?" I ask nervously.

"No, I was asking just like that." She shrug.

"I was here only, looking after guests here." I lie.

"Oh, okay." She replies.
We walk downstairs and I see the auditorium is almost empty.

I check the time to see it is 4 pm and the event is over.

"Hey, Sameera?" I call her.

"Hm?" She replies.

"Can we leave? I need to be somewhere urgent." I ask her.

"I don't think so, we have to collect our payment before leaving." She suggests.

I huff in anticipation and look around for the boss lady.

When I spot her, I walk towards her and make an excuse to leave early.

She told me to inform the accounting department and leave.

I looked for the accounts division and then left my information with them.

After 20 minutes I hailed a cab to Singh Mansion.

Arhaan POV

I never realized my Sister is suffering, When Paakhi told me about Sana, I felt like someone punched me in my gut.

I know Viren will be as devastated as me,

"Yes, Arhaan?" I hear my brother's voice.

"Come home, we need to talk," I say vaguely. I know if I tell him it is about Sana, he will never come home.

"Sorry, I'm working. Whatever it is can wait." He replies.

"It is about mom, she is not well Viren. Please come home." I lie, knowing well he will come home without any thought.

"I'm coming." He declares and hangs up.

Next, I call Shaurya, knowing calling him home will be easy.

"I know, I know!" He exclaims on the phone.

"Huh?!" I ask confused, How does he know and why didn't he tell me.

"About the date?!" Instantly his tone shift from excited to confuse.

"what date Shuarya?" I ask confuse.

"Umm..." he pauses for a second and then murmurs "Viren and Paakhi's date. "

"No, not that, please come home, we need to talk," I exclaim and hang up.

"Arhaan?!" Maanya whispers and hugs me.

"I love my cool minded, sincere Arhaan. Please don't lose yourself in this. Be strong, I'm with you." She assures.

"How can I? My sister is suffering for the last 5 years and I did nothing. Nothing Maanya, nothing." My voice wavers with sorrow.

"I know, but I think first you should talk to your sister before taking any step. We don't know much about her reasonings. Paakhi and I just speculated." She confesses.

I nod in understanding and look at the sun, how such a beautiful thing like this would, without surprise, symbolize so many things. It’s more than just a gorgeous piece of scenery or a masterpiece of nature. For some people, they see more than just the colours.

For some it symbolizes life and death; for some, it is a ray of hope and for some, it is a symbol of wonder.

Right now looking at it I wonder what May happen when I talk to my Sister after so long.
Will she forgive me? Will she punch me? will she talk to me? All these questions are about to be answered.

Not knowing what this day holds ahead, Paakhi, Me and Maanya leave for Singh Mansion.

Oblivious to the situation waiting for us at the mansion.
