Paakhi's POV

"Ouch ouch ouch!! " I moaned in pain when my foot hit the table edge.
And let me tell you it pains like hell.

"What happened? " Maanu asked rushing towards me.
When she saw me sitting on the floor and rubbing my foot she shortly checked for any injuries.

"Aahhh!! Maanuu! " I shrieked when she touched a certain spot on my foot.
"P I think you just sprained your foot. " Maanu said with uncertainty in her voice.

Uncertainty because she knows how I'm gonna react after hearing that.

"Wha... What are you saying...This can't happen and not today.
I mean out of all the days why it has to be today? How am I  gonna work now? I have so much to do... "
I stopped my rambling when Mannu hugged me and whispered that we can do this...

I took a deep breath and relaxed.

Today is the day for the party and we have only 8 hours before the event start.

When I stood up I felt a jolt of pain in my foot and immediately sat down.
This time I stood up slowly and went into the kitchen to take two painkiller tablets.
After a few minutes, the pain started to subside and I immediately got into my work mode and decided to go to the venue as planned.

Maanu is going to be at the cafe with uncle Abby and help him and another staff and Aditi is going to be helping me at the venue with decorations and other arrangements.

Aditi is already at the venue waiting for me. So I soon hailed a cab and went to the venue.
Ride to the venue was a blur for me because I was so busy in Accepting calls and replying to the text.

When we reached the office I directly entered the lobby and started walking towards the back corridors.

I saw everyone busy doing their respective work and heaved a sigh of relief when I saw things getting together.
I saw Aditi at the bar and limped/walked towards her.
"What happened? Why are you walking like that? " she was confused when she saw me limping towards her.

"Don't ask me, I mean out of all the days I had to crash into that table today and sprain my leg. "I said irritatedly while imagining that table and killing it in my mind.

"Aww babe are you irritated? " she asked me while laughing knowing very well that I'm just more than irritated.

"Nope, I'm not at all irritated just peachy." I replied sarcastically.
To which she just laughed and kept doing her work.
I too got busy providing instructions to the workers.

It's been a few hours and everyone left for their lunch break.
Adi too was not around and I was very hungry so I ordered food for us and waited for it to deliver.

I got a call from the delivery man and exited the building to find him standing outside. I took my package from him and when I whirled towards the building I collided with someone and lost my balance.

But that someone caught me before I could touch the ground.
But due to losing my footing, my injured foot pained more and I hissed in pain.

When I saw that I was still in the arms of that someone. I looked up to see none other than Mr. Khadoos.

Why god why? Why are you so upset with me today?

But when I saw his eyes they were full of concern. Concern for me?
No, it's impossible...... He doesn't care about anyone.....

Viren's POV

Today everything is chaos at home.
Everyone is running around and getting calls for tonight's engagement party.

Uff party organized by that crazy girl......

I was about to flee out of the main door when I was interrupted by my mom saying "Viren! Where are you going? "

"To the office," I replied in a duh tone.

"Mister don't use that tone with me! " she said in her maternal tone.

"Okay mom, I'm sorry," I said while hugging her.

"Okay okay! But please show up on time. " she said to my retrieving back.

Today I have so many meetings lined up at the office and a lunch meeting at a nearby restaurant.

During Ride to the office, I was sitting at the back and working on my laptop.
When my car stopped at the red light I noticed we were at the same stop when I met that crazy girl for the first time. When she came in front of my car with a child in her arms.

The child I thought was hers.

And then our meeting at Pari's bday.

I chuckled to myself when I remembered our banter at Pari's bday and then two days back when I asked
Her about dating me......

I have never met someone who has eyes so big and full of kindness.
And she is feisty as well as caring...

I like fighting with her...

Wait! Shit, did I say like?!! No no, it's just Riya and her rom-com that she forced us to watch with her in our teenage years..... But why am I thinking about her?!
I need to get laid... This is just going into my head.

I was brought into reality when I saw my driver opening the door for me.
I exited the car and adjusted my suit and then entered my private elevator.

It was around lunchtime when my secretory entered my office and informed me about my lunch meeting.
I was exiting my office when a body slammed into me.
I instinctively reached out to hold it and recognized that crazy girl... But she was hissing in pain.

I looked her over to see if she was hurt somewhere when I noticed a bandage around her foot.

She tried to push me away but immediately hissed. So I picked her up bridal style to which she was shocked at first but then the crazy girl in her was back "What!? What are you doing? Leave you idiot!! " she said while squirming in my arms.

"Stop! " I said while glaring at her to which she immediately hushed but glared at me.

Haha ... Even her glare is cute!

What!? Cute? I didn't say that? Or did I? Oh no! That's not possible.

I put her on the couch in the lobby and asked for a first aid kit... "Can someone get me the first aid kit! " to which my secretary scrambled off into the direction of elevators.

For the time being, I pulled her leg on my knee. To which she blushed crimson and said "Hey! What are you doing? " while trying to take her leg off of my knee but due to a slight movement she hissed in pain.

"You crazy girl just stop moving! You are hurting yourself. " I exclaimed to which she immediately stopped and sat back with folded hands and a pout on her face.

I was still observing her when a girl came running towards us with a look of concern on her face.
"Paakhiii!! Oh my god, are you okay?" she said while sitting beside me and examined her foot.
And at that exact moment, my secretary came with the medical box.

And gave it to the girl beside me. I noticed my work here was done so just stood up and stood to the side.

The girl was scolding her to which the crazy girl just rolled her eyes and said
"Adi! Please stop scolding me and give me something to eat. I'm hungry. "

"Okay fine! But P after that you're just going to sit for a while and take your medicine. Okay? " the girl named Adi said to which crazy girl just nodded.

"Umm... Sir!? Your meeting? " my secretary asked me.
I just nodded and was about to leave when that girl Adi said "umm Mr. Singh! Thank you so much for bringing her here and taking care of her. "
To which I just nodded and looked over to see that crazy girl looking at me with an emotion I can't decipher.

So I just nodded at her and left for my meeting.

Knock... Knock...

"come in," I said and saw my secretary at the door informing me about the time for the party.

"Stella stop! Don't you dare tell me the time for the party again, Do you get it? " I told her to which she just nodded and scurried out of my cabin.

I grabbed my phone and dialed Shaurya's Number.

I waited for him to pick up!

"Haha... Haha " was the first thing I heard when the line connected.

"Shaurya it's not a joke! I'm really busy and you telling my secretary to inform me about the time in every hour is irritating me," I replied irritatedly.

"Haha... Bro, it's not me! But mom telling me to inform you... Haha.... " he said but I know him very well to know that it's just him trying to irritate me.

"Okay fine! I'm coming home," I said because I'm sensing a little headache appearing, so it would be best for me to rest before today's party.

"See ya bro! " he said and hanged up.

I exited my cabin to inform my secretary I'm leaving and postpone my meetings.

Before exiting the office I went towards Aarhan's cabin.

I knocked twice and opened the door to find him collecting his phone and car keys.

"Bro? Do you need something? " he asked when he saw me standing at the door.

"No, I was just leaving. So thought I would just inform you. " I said.

"oh, actually I was about to leave too. Shaurya has been calling me and irritating me for the past two hours. " he said with a shake of his head and irritation clear in his voice.

After hearing that I too told him about his phone calls while riding the elevator to the ground floor and then took my car home.

At home, we were welcomed by all the gents in the family room watching a cricket match.

My uncle and dad were sitting with a beer in each hand and snacks on the table in front of them.

" Hey, guys! What's happening here? " Aarhan said while taking a seat at the other end of the sofa.

"Oh, son you are back?! Good and Viren is also here. " he said while acknowledging my presence.
I too took a seat and then dad continued 'Actually all the ladies are out to do girl stuff before the party and so we men decided to watch a match and have a beer. " he said pointing to his beer.

I was about to ask for a bottle for myself when I saw Shaurya entering with three bottles in his hand.

He passes one to me and the other one to Aarhan.
I thanked him and then after one beer went into my room to change into more comfortable clothes and resume watching the match with everyone.

After 3 hours everyone went into their rooms to change and get dressed.

All of us men were ready and were waiting for all the ladies to arrive.

We had to wait 30 minutes more when I saw them coming down and each one of them was looking beautiful.

"Dad close your mouth before fly enters your mouth. " Shaurya said to dad when we saw his stunned expression while he saw mom coming down the stairs in her red gown.

"Son you'll understand one day when you'll see your love walking down looking so beautiful and then you'll realize how lucky you're that this girl belongs to you and only you. " he said with so much love and adoration for mom in his eyes.

My parents are still so in love that sometimes I desire this type of connection.
But that's not possible because not everyone is as fortunate as them to find each other.

We all went into our respective cars and drove towards the venue.
