Chapter 41

JASON’S POV

Yesterday, after Leah told Chris about her past, I was so proud of her.  I knew it hadn’t been easy for her to talk about it.  It was pretty obvious when she woke-up screaming a few hours after we went to bed.  We did the same thing like we did every other time.  I sat with her in the bed, Chris went and got her a glass of water.  After she calmed down we’d go sit in the living room.  When she would let me hold her, I would and later Chris would pass out.  Yeah I was tired but I couldn’t let her go through that alone.  Even if we didn’t talk, I just wanted to show her I was there if she needed me.

Being tired and lifting heavy boxes after boxes wasn’t the best feeling in the world.  Some of the guys would laugh at me, thinking I was having too much sex and telling me to slow down and sleep.  I would just laugh it off, they didn’t need to know shit.  Our sex life was great but it didn’t interfere with our sleep, but Leah’s nightmare wasn’t her fault.

‘Jason! Let’s go, keep moving!’ my boss Alex ordered.

‘Yeah.’ I said.  Grabbing another box and bringing it out to the truck.  This was my life, my work life.  Picking-up a box and bringing it to the truck and do it again and again.  Fun. 

When we finally finished putting all the boxes in the truck we went to the new house the people were moving to.  Then we unloaded the truck.

What I liked is we only did one or two moves a day, that’s all we had time to do.  When we did two, which was a killer.  I was so dead when I got home.  No energy at all but seeing Leah gave me a boost.  She always made life better some how.

‘Hey Alex, we doing one or two today?’ I heard Fred ask.

‘Only one.’ Alex answered.

‘Sweet.’ I whispered to myself and heard Fred’s ‘Nice!’

We both laughed.  John just shook his head and smiled.  I liked all the guy I worked with, John was more serious but Fred could always make me laugh and Alex well, most of the time he was all about business but sometimes he would join in and make us laugh.

After a few hours we were done.  I was happy, I just wanted to be home.

‘Hey Jason, you need a lift?’ Fred asked me.

‘No, I’m good but thanks see you tomorrow.’ I said.

‘Yeah tomorrow’s Friday.  Are you working this weekend?’ he asked.

‘Not sure yet, I guess Alex will let me know tomorrow.’

‘Alright, see you tomorrow.’ Fred said.

‘Yeah, tomorrow.’ I said back and grabbed my things and went to the bus stop.  Fred offered me a ride a few times but I always said no.  I knew Leah didn’t tell people where she lived so I did the same.

Getting on the bus, finding a seat, I let my head rest against the window.  I never fell asleep in the bus but once home, I often went to bed for a couple of hours.

Being the first one home did have its advantage.  Getting off the bus and walking to our building and going up the stairs I couldn’t wait any longer to pass out. 

Unlocking the front door, and closing it behind me.  I locked it and just walked strait to the bedroom.  Still fully dressed I let myself drop onto the bed and seconds later fell asleep.

‘Babe, you here?’ I heard, making me wake up.

I started getting up when Leah opened the door.  I got off the bed and looked at her smiling at me.

‘What?’ I asked.

‘Have a nice nap?’ she said trying to hold in her laughter.

‘What are you talking about?  I didn’t take a nap, I was just sitting.’ I told her.

‘Oh, so you didn’t take a nap?’ she asked again and I just shook my head.  She didn’t need to know I was so tired because I wasn’t sleeping much at night.  I didn’t want to make her feel bad.  She did that enough as it is.

She started walking closer to me when she said, ‘So, do you often drool on the side of your face?’ she asked raising her eye brows.

Shit.  My hand went directly to the side of my face, ‘Other side honey.’ She added.  My hand went to the other side of my face and I could feel it.  That’s just great, I thought to myself.

Looking at her, she was still in front of me waiting for my response but I couldn’t even think strait.  Still haft asleep and I desperately wanted to stretch but didn’t dare move.

‘Um...well I was just…’ I started saying when she cut me off, ‘So, you’re going to lie to me again?’

Fuck it, I thought again, I stretched and yawned.  ‘Yeah, I fell asleep.’ I confessed and lowered my head in defeat. 

‘Why would you lie?’

‘I didn’t want you to be angry or sad.  I was just tired.’ I told her.

And I proved my point because now she was sad.

‘Do you do that everyday?’ she asked looking worried. ‘Don’t you dare lie to me.’ She added.

‘Yeah, not every day but most.  When I finish early, I sleep until you get home.’ I answered her.

‘I’m so sorry.’ She whispered.

‘Baby, you have nothing to be sorry about.  When I get up with you in the morning, or a bit after you, it because I want to be with you.  I do it because I love you and I want to, not because I have to.  I didn’t want to tell you because of the way you are looking at me right now.’ I said to her.

‘Don’t lie to me, I don’t like it.  Even if it’s to spare my feeling.  We promised, remember.  No matter what.’ she said.

‘I know, I’m sorry.  I just didn’t want to make you sad.’ I said honestly.

‘Ok,’ she got closer to me, ‘from now on, no more lies. If something is up, if anything is going on, we tell each other.  Sounds good?’

‘Perfect.’ I said and lowered myself and kissed her. 

She placed her arms around my neck and deepened the kiss.  I got lower, placed my hands on her ass and picked her up.  Her legs on each side of my body.  I gently placed her on the bed, and then broke the kiss.  I took off my shirt and she did the same.  I took off my jeans and boxers and walked over to grab a condom.  When I turned back around she was fully nude, her legs apart waiting for me.  She had a smirk on her face and I just smiled at her. 

She was perfect, I could never ask for anyone or anything better that her. 

I walked back to the bed, our eyes glued on each other and I put the condom on. 

‘Fast.’ Said ordered, this made me smile even more.

‘Perfect.’ I said again.

I got closer to her and kissed her again.  She wrapped her legs around my waist, preparing herself for me.  I broke the kiss and looked at her, when she opened her eyes and looked back at me, she smiled.  ‘I love you…you’re mine…always.’ I told her.  She smiled even more and said, ‘I love you too, I’m yours…forever.’  We both smiled and I kissed her again, got myself right at her opening and slowly made my way into her.  She let out a moan, letting me know she liked it.  I loved it, every time we had sex, it got better and better every time.  Once fully inside her, that is when our party of two started.
