Background: Iko was born a female named Marie, a young and curious individual who had a sense of adventure and a naive curiosity. When it was discovered that she was a Demihuman, artificial or not, she was sold into the Black Market, where her kind was treated as slaves and sold to people for labor or other needs. She had a friend amongst the others, but he was sold off to a family and she never saw him again. For all she knew, he was dead! So, Marie ran away from the sellers during one of the auctions, cut off her long hair, changed her name to Iko, and his former identity was left behind, a hollow corpse of what he used to be. He grew up, bouncing from foster home to foster home until he turned eighteen and found an apartment in the darkest corners of a city in Japan. He made that his home and eventually earned a scholarship to an engineering school and eventually started on the side his own freelance devil hunting business, in which he nicknamed himself Bishop.
