" I CANNOT BELIEVE IIIIIITTTTTT!" I screamed at Teppei-tan, shooking his shoulders.

"A-ah! Calm down, _______-chan." he said.

"THE SENIOR SHOUNEN LOVE IS HAVING A CONCERT. HERE. HERE. HEEEEEEREEEE"

"Yes, yes. Please stop shaking me too much. I am getting dizzy."

I let go of him and shook histerically instead.

"Anyway, ______-chan. I have something to ask you."

"Hmm. Yeah, what?" I asked.

"Teppeeeeei!" Riko-tan waved.

"OH YEAH. I HAVE TO TELL HER THE NEWS." I shouted and ran to Riko-tan who's with Junpei-tan.

"RIKO-TAAAAN!" I screamed, tackling her. "THEY'RE HAVING A CONCERT!!!!!"

"....Who?" she asked.

"SENIOR SHOUNEN LOVEE!~~ AKI BAEEE!" I shouted.

"...Uh... I feel happy for you?" she asked. "When's it?"

"August 15!" I answered, smiling.

"Oh.. We have a....."

"plan to eat Ramen." Teppei-tan continued and went beside Riko-tan. "Wanna join us later?"

"Of course! ~"

After class, we went to a nearby Ramen Stand called Hakugare Ramen. The ramen they sell here is something to die for!~

"Five Specials please!" Shun-tan ordered.

"Why are you here?" I asked, eyeing him.

"Just felt like eating ramen." he shrugged. "Deal with it. It's DEAL-icous after all."

"Can I see the picture of that band?" Riko-tan asked, changing the topic.

"Oh, sure!" I took my phone from my bag and gave it to her , showing my wallpaper. "This is Ren, Devit, Ai —the leader—, and Aki, my baeeee." I pointed at their face each time I mentioned their name.

"Hmmm. They have looks...." she mumbled... "Anyway... Is it just me or does Teppei look like this Aki?"

.....I broke into cold sweats... Is Riko-tan kidding with me!??

Junpei-tan peeked on Riko-tan's shoulder.

"....Well.. There is a resemblance..."

........I mustered a laugh before getting my phone from Riko-tan's hands.

"I never noticed, Haha!" I said.

"Yes. It might only be a coincidence." Teppei-tan defended for me.

"Here are your Five Specials!" the vendor cheered, giving us a bowl each.

"Let's eat!~ Can't let the noodles be soggy!~" I shouted, picking up my chopsticks.

Dang.. It's so awkward. Everyone's quiet.

"Hmm. This is the good stuff!" I cheered.

"That's right!" Teppei-tan laughed, slurping with me.

Soon, everyone joined in and we all ate the delicious food.

We parted ways on the way home except for Teppei and I. We live next to each other, that's why.

....Also one of the reasons I met him. We were childhood friends. We would play games such as hide and seek and I would hide behind the tree where he counts. He would then say it's unfair because I don't answer whenever he asks, "Are you ready?"... Those were the good old days...

We soon became middle schoolers. He had his own set of friends and I had mine... But we were still inseparable. We would eat lunch together and play arcade.. It was also fun. All I wanted to do then was spend time with him.

High School came and we attended Seirin. He started the Basketball Club with his new friends that also became my friends. They are a cool bunch. There's no such thing as "boring" during the time I spent with them.

....But life is cruel... I started to see Teppei-tan sparkling and going slow motion whenever I see him. My heart starts to beat wildly whenever he smiles or laugh. I get irritated whenever he talks to his classmates that are obviously fan girls of him.... Yep, I fell in love with my bestfriend. Not just like. I guess I liked him since middle school but now... The feelings have just escalated.

So I confessed to him..

"Teppei-tan.... I ... I.. Please go out with me!"

"....._____-chan....?...."

...Silence. After a whole ten minutes, he spoke.

"...I'm sorry, _____-chan. I'm not yet ready with that.... I would like to focus my thoughts in the Basketball Club."

.......It hurts.Being rejected hurts. It was like my heart was shredded to pieces..

It was a good thing we still talk normally after that....The thing is.... I might be smiling outside.. But deep in my heart, I was being tortured. How can he act so normal when I just confessed to him!?

....My pain was numbed when I met Aki of Senior Shounen Love. Their songs are telling me to move on... I cannot do that. But it helps me think that it's not that bad living with a little —not— part of your heart is destroyed.

That's when I started to fan girl over Aki. One of the reasons he is my favorite is because we have so much in common.... And the other one is because... He does look like Teppei-tan...

I panicked when Riko-tan noticed that. Good thing Teppei-tan helped me.

"Hmm? Yes?" I zoned out.

"I... Uh.... We're home." Teppei-tan said.

"Catch you later" I waved goodbye.

I guess it's okay this way.

I sighed. Everyone's busy with Basketball practice.. Now, I'm eating alone on the rooftop.. T.T

Well, meh!~ Who cares! I'll meet Aki tomorrow~~ I'm excited! ~~

"....Are you _____ _____?"

I looked up to see a girl that's probably the same grade as me.

"...Uh Yeah?"

"...Is Kiyoshi-san your boyfriend?"

If he had not rejected me, Yes?

"...No." I answered.

"Oh.. Thank you!" she said before turning to one of her friends "Yumi, you still have a chance!~ Confess to him after the match tomorrow."

Wait. What. Match!? Confess!?

"Hey you!" I called out.

They turned to me.

"What match?" I asked.

"Our basketball team has a match tomorrow... " they answered.

..... Why.. did.. he... not. tell me!?

After class, I ran to the court to find them having a practice match. I stormed in, not caring if they're having an intense match or something.

"______-chan?" Teppei-tan asked, shocked.

"Why did you not tell me you have a match?" I asked.

...He grew quiet.

"WHY!?"

"....It's the same, anyway. It's not like you'll pick the match over the concert."

....SLAP. My hand hit his cheek hard.

"WHAT THE HELL MADE YOU THINK THAT!? FOR THE LOVE OF---! TEPPEI!" everyone tensed. I never emitted the prefix '-tan' unless.... "I! AM! YOUR! BESTFRIEND! HOW CAN I DO THAT TO YOU!??? I CAN SKIP HUNDREDS OF CONCERTS JUST FOR YOU... OKAY!?"

There was an intense silence. Teppei did not make any eye contact with me. So, that's it!??

..."YOU KNOW WHAT!? NEVERMIND. I'LL GO TO THE CONCERT JUST LIKE YOU PREDICTED!" I shouted, tears spilling at  the sides of my eyes. "I MEAN, WHO WANTS TO WATCH THEIR BESTFRIEND IN A MATCH THAT BASICALLY PASSES A BALL BACK AND FORTH."... I lied about that. I love basketball. I'm a great fan. But I'm pissed right now.

I kicked him. "TEPPEI-TAN, YOU IDIOT! I HATE YOU!" and I ran out the court.

He's a meanie! A sick-o! Idiot! He only knows basketball! An airhead! I hate him! Not as much as I love him.

I sighed, wiped off my tears and went home.

...Look at me, a sore idiot.

"GO SEIRIIIIIIN!!!!~~" I cheered.

Everyone in ths crowd went wild as Junpei-tan makes his three points.

"GO JUNPEI-TAAAAAN! KAGA-TAANNM! KURO-TAAAAN! WOOOT!!" I cheered.

....I'm really sorry, Senior Shounen Live. Seems like I won't be meeting them... It hurts.. It took me four months to earn money for the concert... But I'll never pick my idols over my bestfriend (whom I also love).

"EAT DIRRRRRRT, OPPOSING TEAAAM!~" I shouted.

Our team's so cool!~ Specially Kaga-tan's jumps. But no one can really beat Teppei-tan's Vice Claw.

Seirin won with flying colors. I ran to their locker room, stoked by the fact that they won.

"CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONEEEEE!" I shouted.

They turned to me.

"______?" Riko-tan asked, confused.

I hit my head with my right hand. "In the end, I can't abandon you guys for people that does not even know I exist."

"A match that basically passes a ball back and forth." Kuro-tan mumbled.

....Oh....Yeah... I sweat dropped. I did say that out loud due to anger... I bowed down.

"I'M SORRY!" I shouted.

"I'm just kidding, sempai. I know it's not really what you think about basketball." he said, smiling.

I smiled back. "Anyway, I made some lemons soaked in honey."

I took out five containers from my bag.

"It's all for you~~"

I looked around, looking for Teppei-tan... He's not around....

"He's out there. Turn left from here." Riko-tan answered my thoughts.

I smiled at her before taking a dash.

"WAI---"

I baked him a Congratulations cake and a Too Bad cake. I'm not sure if he'll win so I made two. hehe.

Oh! There he is..... with a girl. I stopped on my tracks... She's the friend of the girl who asked me if I'm Teppei-tan's girlfriend...

"....I....I... Please go out with me!"

.....That's just like what I said when I confessed to him...

Will he say no?..Or will he say yes?

The next words he said not only stopped my world.... It also destroyed my heart.

"Sure." he said and smiled.

I accidentally dropped my bags containing the cake... Oh no.... Tears streamed down my face.... Holy Crap.

Teppei turned to me, hearing the clattering sound of something falling. His eyes widened in shock.

"Hmm..? Teppei-kun?" the girl called out.

"I---uhh.. " I stuttered.

I quickly knelt down and picked up my things.

I faked a laugh while sobbing.

"Cong....Congratulations w...with the win... and your new....".... I cant say it...

Why?

Because it hurts.

I thrusted the Congratulation cake in his hands.

"Excuse me!" I bowed before running away..

"_____-CHAN!"

Of course he will never like someone like me... Who am I kidding, anyway? He already rejected me once. I should stop thinking that I still have a chance.

Specially now  that he found someone special already.
