I separated from Henry, coming out of our trance just as Jasper finished screaming because he was shocked to see us in the situation we were in. And he wasn't the only one, I was so focused and so wrapped up in the situation, and in the fact that my subconscious needed to kiss him, that I had ignored everything that was happening around us, apart from the fact that, yes, Henry put me in a trance.

"You!" he pointed at me ", and you!".

"Huh..." I began, nervously "what are you talking about? Here, here nobody is doing... doing anything".

"Yeah" Henry continued in the same way –".. I only saw that... she had... a point in... in... yep".

Jasper didn't answer, he stayed silent with his mouth wide open that at the same time formed into a big smile, I was a little scared of the way he was transforming his expression, but as soon as the smile was well formed, he ran to hug Henry.

I looked at Henry confused "What's wrong with him?".

"He's happy".

"Happy?".

"Yep" he moved his face away from Jasper's head a little ", happy".

"BRO!" he shouted, still without letting go of my other friend "Bro! Bro!".

The truth is I was a little confused by the way Jasper was reacting, but then I remembered everything A.J had told me the night of Cactus Con, and everything was starting to make sense... oh... no.

"Dude" Hen said "let me go".

Jasper listened to him "Sorry, it's just that, it's just that ahhhhh!" so much excitement "you finally did it!".

"Did what?" I asked a little bewildered "what the hell are you talking about?".

The two boys turned to look at each other nervously, Henry scratched his neck and Jasper had that 'I've talked too much' face, even though I knew what was happening, I would do what Charlotte Page's wise words told me, "pretend like you don't know anything, easy way out," and that's what I was planning on doing, seriously that's what I was going to do.

"You didn't tell her, right?" Jasper asked this time.

"Nope" Henry answered.

"Did I say too much?"

"Yep".

"Is Kai looking at me like I'm a crazy person?".

"Yep".

And it wasn't a joke, I looked at him as if I didn't understand a single word of what he was saying, but other than that, he still doesn't convince me.

We stayed in a weird silence for almost a whole minute, awkward silence, with none of the three of us moving or doing anything like that, just standing there, doing nothing. I exchanged glances with Henry, but when I did, I looked away instantly.

This wasn't a topic I would let go of, neither of us.

Anyray, I left the room behind the monitor, but not before grabbing my backpack to leave there once and for all. I wasn't going to stand being in this level of discomfort in the Man Cave.

"I'm leaving," I said as I walked toward one of the tubes.

"Ah, no, no, no," Ray answered, standing up from the chair. "You have work here, if someone comes..."

"Ah, yes, yes, yes, yes," I interrupted, without waiting for him to answer. "I have to go."

"Kai, you have to stay..."

I hit my pants pocket "What? I should leave? Okay!"

The tube went down.

"You have work!"

"I can't hear what you're saying!" Ray kept yelling at me "Byeeee! Up the tube!".

Honestly, I could go now, Henry and Ray were having a puppy delivery like Captain Man and Kid Danger, so my presence was no longer necessary, besides I didn't want to be here, there were going to be too many questions, and I didn't want to deal with that. So, I opted to go home, and deal with my brothers, a thousand times the best option.

The next day I woke up around 11:30 AM, it was Saturday, and on Saturdays we could get to work a little late, you know, a little late to Junk N' Stuff, as long as Ray and Henry had some important event and didn't notice we were late.

Anyway, I got out of my bed about 10 minutes after waking up, grabbed some clothes so I could take a shower, changed, got ready, and just when I reached for the doorknob from my room, so I could go down to breakfast, my phone rang.

"Sup'?".

"Kai" it was Charlotte "I need you to come to Man Cave, now".

Her voice sounded a little alarmed.

"Did something happen?" I asked.

"No, but Jasper told me that he saw you with Henry yesterday and...".

"Ah, ah, ah, ah" I didn't let her finish "We'll establish this when I get there, and I'll tell you".

"Did you kiss?".

I sighed "No, no, no, when I get there, we'll establish this".

"Okay, hurry, 'cause they're not here and then you can tell me everything with more detail".

"Yes CHARLOTEE, I'm coming, Charlotte" I opened my bedroom's door "Click".

"Click".

Well, I think I'm skipping breakfast. I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs, where Jack and Max were sitting in the living room scrolling trough their phones, my grandparents were sitting at the dining table eating with A.J, and I had no idea where Ian was.

"Good morning, hello" I said as I finished coming down the stairs "and goodbye".

I went to the front door.

"Wow, wow, wow" my grandma stopped me "where are you going?".

"Work?".

"You have to eat breakfast, Kai, you can't leave with an empty stomach" she scolded.

I growled and turned to her "There's excellent food service at Junk N' Stuff, I'm going to eat there".

"At Junk N' Stuff? Kai, that store doesn't sell any food".

"That's why I said excellent service" I wasn't lying, the Auto-Snacker gave the best "Now I'm leaving".

I turned back to the door, grabbed the knob to open it and leave, but my grandmother stopped me, again.

"Kai".

"Yes?" I asked affirmingly.

"I don't want you to be late, okay? We'll have important guests tonight, they'll be here for dinner".

I frowned confused "Who?".

"You'll see," she replied with an evil smile, raising and lowering his eyebrows. "Don't be late."

I finally rolled my eyes and had no choice but to agree, which would mean leaving Junk N' Stuff a little earlier.

Yes, today was Saturday, but although we would normally have more work, I doubt it would be a matter of life or death... 'Whistling Susie' appeared in my mind, I take back what I said.
