After that day, somewhat not... explainable, and quite strange, because besides that, we found out that Man Cave had been hacked, that's right, the extremely unhackable Man Cave, was hacked, strange thing, in the computers according to Schwoz, there was that same sign with the same message: "Game on" and the black and red logo, which I still couldn't figure out where I had seen it, but it wasn't the first time.
Anyray, I went back to my house with Henry's company, who by the way still felt too bad, according to him, for having gone to Cactus Con, but not with me, how ironic.
"Please forgive me, Kai".
"Hen, I have forgiven you the last 50 times that you've asked me to forgive you" I answered, "There's no need for a 51".
"Well for me there is, yes" this boy "So... will you forgive me, Kai?".
I knew Henry, I knew him so well, that I knew that if I forgave him this time, he would go on and on with it, so...
"Yes, I forgive you for the fifty-first time".
"Great, now I believe you, and thank you very, very, very much".
I rolled my eyes and slowly shook my head and then looked for my house keys in my backpack bag, you know, a mini backpack, which is used as a bag... right? They'll be the sensation in a few years, I know it.
Anyway, I managed to find the keys, I put them in the lock, but to my great surprise the door was open, it wasn't locked.
"Huh," I exclaimed, frowning, "Weird."
"What?" Henry asked.
"The door wasn't locked, it's likely that my brothers haven't even arrived, there's no sound of disaster".
The boy nodded constantly agreeing with me, although he could tell by his look that he was not convinced. But there was no other logical explanation, it was late November, the cold was already present in Swellview, two teenagers who were already on break from college, along with two others wandering the streets at this time of night, it made too much sense to me and my family.
"Well, thanks for walking me," I said as I took off the sweatshirt he had lent me.
"No problem," he received it. "Remember, I'll pick you up tomorrow."
"I know, Henry Hart, I know," I spoke in a little girl's tone.
"I just wanted to remind you, Kai Martin," he imitated me, making us both laugh. "Now go inside, you're gonna get sick."
I cleared my throat a little "Yeah, sure, of course. Let me know when you get home, if necessary, transform into Kid Danger".
"How? Like this?".
Before I could answer, Henry took out his tube gum, put one in his mouth, and then blew a bubble that turned him into Kid Danger.
"Oh my God! It can't be!" I shouted, 'in shock' "It's Kid Danger!".
Faster than the speed of light, and thanks to his super reflexes, Henry put his hand over my mouth to prevent me from getting another word out of it, he was the one who decided to transform out of nowhere, not me.
"Are you done?" I nodded; he removed his hand from my mouth.
"I was joking when I said you should transform into Kid Danger".
"I take what you say very seriously".
"Yeah, I can see that".
Henry was a fairly short distance away from me, and I didn't realize when that happened. His eyes radiated a strange sparkle like last time, making any feature of his face stand out. His Kid Danger costume made him look a little older at only 17, the way he combed his hair, as well as pieces of clothing made him look like another quite... attractive person.
"What were you gonna tell me at Cactus Con?" I salivated nervously.
The boy frowned, then opened his eyes wide, separated from me and scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Mhm?".
"What were you gonna tell me at Cactus Con?".
"Ummm... yeah... well I... ummm... I was going to tell you that... this... that".
He hesitated, he hesitated, and when I thought he would respond, he continued 'formulating' words, it must have been something serious, otherwise he would have told me right away when I asked him.
"Later, later, it's not important" he finally said, "I'll tell you another day".
I shrugged my shoulders "Okay, I'm going in, Hen... I mean Kid Danger, see you tomorrow... I mean, when I need your help... yes".
"Goodbye, strange citizen I've never known".
Without further ado, I said goodbye to Henry giving him a kiss on the cheek and going inside my house, closing the door behind me, leaning against it, biting my lower lip for some reason, and with one hand trying to find the switch to turn on the light.
But no matter how hard I tried, and I tried, it didn't even show any intention of turning on, it was as if it the power was out all over the house. Until out of nowhere, a strange noise was heard in the kitchen along with several loud voices repeating: 'I have the cactus', this god dang boys.
