A circle had formed around the world's most poisonous cactus, noise began to spread throughout the room, and the citizens began to make plans to steal the cactus that Henry was now taking care of alone, since Ray was out of service and since there was no room to transform into Captain Man, and we, I'm talking about Char and I, as ordinary people there wasn't much we could do.

There were too many people, everyone was there, including my brothers... traitors.

"OKAY! Okay," Henry shouted, "Everybody calm down!!!"

"What?!" answered the police officer.

"Relax!" Hen shouted again; everyone went quiet ". Now, I know that you all want that million dollars, some mystery person promised for that cactus" he pointed to the cactus behind him.

Again, all the people started arguing, shouting, complaining, while Henry kept trying to calm the crowd down, but I don't think it was going to be enough with just him, I mean, he's super-fast, but there are hundreds against him.

There was one of him.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" the police lady shouted, silence again. "Kid Danger's right!"

Ha, someone who has common sense in this building.

"Thank you," Henry said firmly.

"This cactus is worth a lot of money! Now let's get it!

People went crazy again, I swear they were about to jump on Henry and crush him just to get that cactus, but since my boy is smarter... I mean, since he is smarter, he quickly took out his laser and started shooting it around them, causing people to step back in fear.

"Uh-oh!" he held up the laser. "Daddy wants the big piece of chicken tonight!!!"

Wait, what?

I turned to Ray and Charlotte and put a hand on his shoulder.

"God, it would be great if Captain Man showed up right now," I said suggestively.

"You're right Kai," Char continued with the same tone, "Captain Man would help a lot."

"Argh, I know, right?" Ray exclaimed, "He's the best."

I let out a sigh and placed a hand on the bridge of my nose, while Charlotte gave a 'it can't be, but I'm not surprised' look.

"Think it through".

Ray stared into nothing until he noticed "Oh yeah! You're right, but there are too many people to transform here".

"I know, I have an idea," I snapped my fingers, "Go to that cactus where there's no one around, I'll stay here in case Henry needs help."

"Okay, and here" Ray handed me a laser ", just in case".

I took the laser "Okay... okay... now go".

They both went to the back of the building, leaving me with a laser and a worried Henry not knowing what to do and with the only help of... his zapper, or laser whatever you wanna call it. Ray needed to hurry if he didn't want his sidekick to be the new convention carpet, okay that sounded bad, terrible.

"What are you waiting for?" the police lady said.

"He's got a zappy thingy" answered a scared boy.

"Yeah, but there's a lot of us and only one of him".

Dang it! That was true, a point in their favor, but what they didn't know, and to be honest neither did I, was that Piper rose from her throne and with her scepter, pounced on the citizens.

"Wrong!" the girl shouted, "There's two of him!" I frowned "Us!... Shut up!" She slammed her scepter on the ground like before. "Come at me,bros."

I had never seen Piper that way, and even less with that kinda language, but that was exactly what we needed, aggression, resistance, everything to prevent the cactus from being stolen.

And just a few seconds passed, the convention had turned into a laser war and Piper attacking with her scepter, and I say laser war, because I took the one that Ray gave me and started shooting people, hidden, of course.

People were afraid of us, well Kid Danger and Piper, but no matter how much we shot, they just came more and more, until out of nowhere, a guy threw a cactus.

"Ow!" Henry complained.

"Throw more! Cactus are his weakness!"

As expected, everyone started throwing cacti towards where we were, so I quickly went behind a pot and hid behind it. For Henry, well, with his super reflexes he avoided the needled balls.

I turned to see where Jasper and Patina were, and the poor boy was being her human shield, receiving all the needles for her to prevent them from punching the girl's suit.

"AYYYYYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!" Piper screamed as she walked into the crowd.

Leaving Henry alone again.

"Look! There's only one of him again!".

"Wrong!" Ray arrived "There's two of him! ... Us!... Shut up!".

"Dude!" the police lady spoke "That cactus is worth 1 million bucks! You're standing between me and buying a moose!" weird but okay "Now, come on! They can't stop all of us!... Mama wants a moose!".

Sometimes I think, the people of Swellview are very... different from the common denominator, I mean, they have weird likes, weird laws, people have something different from the rest of the country, but I think that made me love this place a lot.

Henryway, the laser fight had turned into a punching fight, well I kept hitting people behind the flowerpot, and Charlotte did the same from the other side of the room.

The Man Cave team was fighting all Swellview at the same time, it was fun, I think I liked shooting people with a zapper, and with Ray and Henry beating everyone up, this had become the best Cactus Con I'd ever been to.

After several seconds, everyone was unconscious, and we managed to keep the cactus safe, the best thing is that no one died, 'cause they were hella hurt.

"Eahhhhh" everyone except Jasper, who had his body full of cactus from protecting Patina.

"Jasper, you were amazing," Patina exclaimed happily, "and I'd hug you, but those needles would puncture my suit."

"I get it," he responded almost in agony.

"Hey, Captain Man, here" I said as I handed him the zapper. "You threw this during the fight."

"And this" Char copied my action.

"Uh... thanks, girls I don't know".

I raised my eyebrows and put my hands inside my pockets.

"We did it," Henry spoke enthusiastically.

Ray sighed "Yes, we saved the citizens of Swellview once again".

Ironically, the people who were lying on the ground began to complain and move about the pain they felt, otherwise it was a very nice scene.

"Victory dance!"

Ray was dancing so funny that I took out my phone and started recording.

"Hey!" I called him "Do a backflip!"

"What? Oh, no, I dunno, guys".

"Don't even think about it, just do it," Henry said.

"You think I can do it?".

I nodded "We know you can do it".

Ray continued dancing, and then, without even thinking about it, he managed to do a perfect backflip, which seemed as if nothing from yesterday had happened, 10/10 to Ray, it was amazing... the only imperfection was that, when he landed, the zapper came out of his pocket.

"Heyyyy!".

"You did it," Henry celebrated.

Char and I applauded.

"Did you see that?!".

"I told you; you could do it".

Ray bent down to pick up the zapper that he'd dropped, and when he picked it up, he accidentally pressed the fire button, causing a flash of light to go out in the direction of Patina, which as expected, punctured the bubble suit...ah, Captain Man; not even Captain Man, this was totally Ray being clumsy.

"Patina, your suit!" Jasper said.

"Forget the suit... what about my tongue!?" Patina's tongue was beginning to turn red and swell too much "Mmm, could someone take me to the hospital?".

Henry approached Patina to grab her by the waist and carry her. I involuntarily tensed my jaw and the blood rose to my head.

'No, Kai, no' I kept repeating to myself. Trying to take away the jealousy from me.

Thank the universe what Henry did was in vain, because earlier he received a cactus hit on the arm and he couldn't carry her, so Ray intervened, picked her up and took her to the hospital along with Jasper who was seriously in too much pain.

"Good job," Char said to Henry.

"Thank you," he answered and came to my direction to hug me by the shoulders. I must admit that lessened the feeling "And good job to you two".

I laughed "I like zappin' people".

"Me too!" Charlotte shouted. "Anyway, I'm going home, I hate being third wheel, and Imma afraid I'm that right now, so, see you guys".

I made gestures to my friend for her to stay but she ignored me, and she left through the door of the convention, avoiding the "bodies" that were all over the floor, I insist, it sounds bad, and it looks bad; Bizarre thing, my brothers were not there during the fight, only at the beginning, and then they disappeared out of nowhere; weird.

"So, can you buy me my cactus ice cream?".

I looked at him with a smile "If there were people where they sold them, yes, but we can't steal, it's against the law".

"I am the law" his words made me raise my eyebrows "Well, Ray is the law but okay, although you still owe me, just like you owe me a date".

"Oh, yeah?" I crossed my arms. "Do I owe it to you, or do you owe it to me?"

"Well, I owe you" we both laughed "but even though we weren't together today..." he let go of my shoulders and looked down.

His voice was beginning to sound nervous, he scratched the back of his neck, and gave small giggles. Two seconds later, he took my hand, to which I opened my eyes surprised by the touch, and by how he acted.

"I want to tell you something" he swallowed, my pulse increased "It's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time and well I thought today, when we saved Swellview, would be a good time to tell you" he scratched his neck again "; and I say it because we saved the world's most poisonous cactus... is gone".

I directed my eyes to where Henry was looking, and sure enough the cactus was no longer there. There was only one card on the table.

We walked to where it was, and Hen took the card in hand.

"What does it say?" I asked.

"It says 'Thank you for the cactus. Game On'" he answered.

Behind the card was a strange logo, which I swore I had seen somewhere else, but where?
