"I don't have the slightest idea," I said.

A.J looked at me confused "Didn't you buy the tickets together?".

"We did, yeah..." I bit my lower lip "but you know... Piper needs it."

"Won't she be the Cactus Queen this year?".

Crap, think, Kai, think. I couldn't understand how I always thought of ridiculous excuses so Henry could go off and do his Kid Danger duty, but for me... no, not always.

"She will be," I answered again, "it's just that... I don't know... if Henry... can go."

My brothers looked at each other with a big grimace on their mouths, and a somewhat strange look as if they knew something that I didn't. I hate when they do that.

"What?".

"Nothing" A.J answered "I'm going to bed".

I frowned "You never go to sleep early" and that's when I remembered, I told Piper the same thing.

He simply waved his hand at me in the air, downplaying what I had told him, leaving me with Jack and Max who still hadn't taken their eyes off the TV. Now that I see it, that Galaxy Wars game looks good, I've gotta take it to the Man Cave.

Anyway, I got up from where I was sitting and went up to my room, once there, I put on my pajamas, brushed my teeth and got into the covers to use my Pear Pad, until I tried to fall asleep.

But no matter how hard I tried to focus on Tweetflash, my mind kept wandering around about Henry.

I'm not going to lie, I really wanted to go with him to the convention tomorrow, and I'm not going to lie either, when Jasper said that Kid Danger could go with Patina... God, the same feeling as that time with the girl with the diamonds took over me, why? I had no idea, but I had to talk to Charlotte about this.

That was one, and the other... Henry said I had a nice butt, so I didn't know how to feel about that.

"Just try to fix the sash".

Charlotte pulled to the side "I think it's fixed".

I squinted at Piper's dress, how good we were at this.

"It looks good, I hope Patina likes it" she looked at me strangely about what I just said ", you know, in 'real life', since she's coming".

"Patina loves everything," Piper continued.

I snapped my fingers "Good point".

Being part of the people who would help the Cactus Queen with her dress, we were able to enter a little before the opening of the convention, of course we were prohibited from touching things or using the foodtrucks, but from what we could see , they had done a great job this year.

Minutes later, it was time to open to public.

"Hear me! Hear me!" Piper shouted with her staff in hand "As your Cactus Queen this year, I declare the Swellview Cactus Convention... OPEN!".

Nobody reacted, and the police officers holding the ribbon did nothing.

I raised my arms in the air and looked at the girls, who also didn't understand what was happening.

"You have to tap your staff on the ground" announced a policeman "My queen".

"Open!" and Piper gave three knocks on the floor.

As expected, people began to applaud and the police removed the kind of ribbon that prevented entry to the convention, and so it begins.

We walked to the stage with Piper, where we helped her so she could sit on her throne.

"Hey," she called to Charlotte, "look at those two."

My friend pointed to a point where Ray and... Kid Danger were; idiots.

I sighed "I'll go" I went to where the pair of idiota were and stood behind them "Hey, guys".

"What's up, Kai?" Henry asked, greeting me.

"Yeah, whats up?".

"Nothing's up, altough maybe since you guys don't know each other" I started to speak sarcastically "you shouldn't be talking, Ray and Kid Danger".

Henry grabbed my shoulder "Yeah, dude, she's right".

"Right, scatter. Scatter" Ray said.

What I didn't want to happen, I was left with Henry alone. The discomfort was felt everywhere, now I can't stop thinking about his butt, holy cows! And what he told me...double holy cows! But remember Kai, you've gotta act as if nothing had happened; act casual, yeah I don't know how I to do that.

"Hello, strange citizen," Henry said, breaking the silence and winking.

I raised my eyebrows in greeting, it wasn't because I didn't want to talk, it's just that I can't be seen talking to him, he's being Kid Danger right now.

Silence again.

Thank the universe, our awkward moment was interrupted by the scream of Ray, who was just a few feet away from us.

"Ow! What the butt...?!".

Henry laughed "Dude, you just bumped into the World's Most Poisonous Cactus".

"Yeah, right," Ray responded sarcastically. "How do you know that?"

"Ummm" I spoke, getting into the conversation "Maybe because there's a sign there that says so?". 

 "WORLD'S MOST POISONOUS CACTUS. DON'T BUMP INTO IT."

That was so legit.

"Oh yeah, well, someone should be guarding this thing."

I shrugged my shoulders and got out of there, it wasn't my problem, although because Ray was indestructible, nothing happened to him, if it had been someone else with a deficit like him... yeah, let's not think about bad things.

Henryway, I walked around the convention for a while with Charlotte. We bought ice cream, jerky, tacos, cactus-shaped balloons, cactus t-shirts, cactus stuffed animals, and for this reason I say that the pay they give me at Junk N 'Stuff doesn't last long.

It doesn't matter, these things are worth it, and despite that, I can seriously say that I was having fun, with Charlotte, without boys or siblings to worry about, and by the way, where are they?

Oh, I don't care, this is better, I just hoped Henry didn't remember that I owe him cactus ice cream.

"Hey, Char" speaking of Henry, I remembered that I wanted to talk to her about him.

"What's up?".

"I need to talk to you".

"About...".

I looked down at my cue "Henry".

"No!" she shouted excitedly "Yes! YES! I knew this would happen! Schwoz and Jasper owe me 20 bucks".

"What?" I asked confused.

"You know, you like Henry," she replied nonchalantly. "I really know you, and I knew it wouldn't take long for you to realize it."

Okay, no, something wasn't going right about this, again, my words being misinterpreted, good job, Kai, good job.

"No," I said dryly, "I don't like Henry, it has to do with him, but not that I like him."

She rolled her eyes "Are you sure about that?".

"I don't understand why I shouldn't be."

"Keep telling yourself that," she made a disapproving face. "Anyway, what about Henry?"

I opened my mouth to say something, but I just couldn't articulate the words to tell her how I felt.

"It's just that..." I managed to say doubtfully, "it's just that, argh, I really wanted to come with him to this thing."

"For your good luck, he's right there," she answered.

I cocked my head "Yeah but, you know, coming with him as Henry, not Kid Danger, and then, then when Jasper asked him to take care of Patina here...".

"You felt jealous because he would be with her and Jasper, and not with you," she interrupted me. "I know, I know you and you felt what you felt, when it was the diamond convention and Henry was flirting with Heather."

It never ceased to amaze me how smart this girl was.

I nodded "Yes, just that, but it's not jealousy, I'm sure it's something else".

"Like what?" She asked with her tone that said she was right.

"I don't know" I answered "Allergies?".

Charlotte looked at me with a 'serious' look and crossed her arms. The truth is that my response was actually so dumb.

"Allergies? Really, Kai?".

"Yes" I let out a laugh ", my allergies can cause many many things".

"Well, then let your allergies make you accept the facts that you like Henry," she said while buying another taco.

"Who likes me?".

Oh jeez.
