Jasper and Henry had gotten up from the couch to go get the box of flares, but since they are them, they stayed playing with them as if they were sabers from Galaxy Wars, only they didn't light them. Instead Charlotte and I had stayed on the couch, with me having an internal crisis.

"Is there a bright side?" I asked in a tired tone.

Charlotte nodded "Yeah, next year you choose what to do for Henry's birthday, just like Ray chose what to do for mine this year."

I didn't say anything, causing silence for a few seconds.

"How weird we are," I blurted out.

"Right?"

"Anyway, it doesn't matter, I just hope that nothing happens beyond friendly affections," I said, looking into space, "and that Jasper doesn't remember that," I turned to look at her, "and that you don't ally with him for that."

My friend raised her hands in the air innocently "No, I'm not going to do that, just have fun and think that this will be over soon, Ray and Schwoz are almost here."

And hesitating a little, or I mean a lot, I sat next to Jasper in lotus flower mode. I don't know why he had a strange feeling that something was going to happen, and it wasn't something good.

"Truth," she responded with annoyance.

It was a basic game, we had to choose between Truth or Flare, which was technically holding it until it was finished and receiving a little heat, that is, getting burned by it, or choosing Truth, but if the flare was going to end, and it was your turn you had to choose flare, and to make it not so boring, you could invoke the "Dare" only 3 times during the entire game.

Very silly and pointless, but Ray invented it when he was a kid, so yeah.

"Kai," Jasper said, "Truth or Flare."

I sighed, hell I've never thought about the first person I liked, unless it's...yeah! Him!

"My older brother Ian's friend, Josh, he lived with us for a while back in San Diego."

As expected and quite obvious, Henry got burned by the flare, it didn't cause blisters or anything because of something Schwoz did to them, it just burned you, but now that I think about it it's a bit of a cruel game, of course although Ray for being indestructible It didn't do anything to him that's why he did it.

It had been 30 minutes since we started the game and there were already several burns, and several truths had come to light that I had no idea about, and thank the universe no one had invoked the "Dare", and I hoped it would stay that way until let it end.

But since not everything is happiness in this life, I feel that Henry got angry with me in some of the answers I gave, or I don't really know what it was, and every time I answered things like "first kiss" or "platonic love of the moment", he was rolling his eyes and not paying attention to what I was saying, and I must say that it also bothered me a little, because his attitude was so irritating.

"Don't be an idiot, Jasper," Charlotte said nervously.

"Yeah, you can't just invoke challenge like that" I continued in the same way.
