Feng Xin

"I'll do it, I'll work with you to get gege out but He Xuan will be with us as well".

I left the mind link and made my way over to Mu Qing who was still in bed. Carefully I climbed in behind him and placed my hand over his forehead. "Your burning up still". He whimpered in response. "Just a little while longer ok, this will be over with soon, I promise". I spoke gently as I rubbed his arm.

"Are you heading out"? He whispered. "I am but you won't be alone. Zhanmado and Cuo will both be here with you, their in Cuo's playroom right now". He nodded. I kissed the top of his head. "I love you Mu Qing". "I love you too, promise me you'll come back". "Always, try to get some rest".

The three of us made our way to the palace of divine might and split up before we approached the palace steps. He Xuan ran off with Hua Cheng to the palace cells while I made my way up the stairs and into Ling Wen's office. "F Feng Xin, your alive".

"Technically I'm the new ghost king". I grabbed Fengshen and froze her to her desk. "I'm sorry but I can't have you interfering in this matter, the ice will melt once my work here is done".

She pulled back trying to get away but it was to no avail. I could feel a wave of energy coming towards me and shot an arrow behind me freezing it. "Impressive, you're much stronger than I had originally thought".

"Mei Nianqing". I said turning around. "What are you doing here Feng Xin, you no longer work for Jun Wu"? "I'm here to get payback on the bastard that hurt the person I love". I shot an arrow at him with an ice wind surrounding it but he managed to deflect it.

"Jun Wu is the emperor here, what he does in his territory is no one else's business but his". "He made it my business when he went after my boyfriend and prince". I shot another arrow this time aiming it at his neck but he managed to catch it with his hand. "Your strong Feng Xin, you always have been but you must keep in mind that I'm just as strong as you, Jun Wu trained me himself after all".

I smirked. "If that's true then why did you just willingly grab an arrow that was laced with poison"? He looked at me shocked before letting go of the arrow and looking at his hand which now had a cut in it. "I made sure to make my arrows extra sharp, Jun Wu made my boyfriend sick so it's only natural I do the same to his. Now go to your emperor and tell him to leave and relinquish his title to Xie Lian, he deserves it way more than the two of you".

Mei Nianqing

My body felt as if it were on fire as he left and I made my way to Jun Wu the best I could. I tried my best to walk but each step became heavier and heavier making my legs feel as if they were made out of lead. All I wanted to do was lay down in bed and have Jun Wu hold me. I knew I'd be ok, I just had to get to him first.

"Mei, where are you? I can tell something's wrong".

His voice was filled with worry.

I'm the only one he truly cares for, I'm glad

"I'm in the hallway trying to get to you".

"Stay there, I'm on my way".

I laid against the wall the best I could as I waited for him to come. Sweat was forming on my face as my body just continued to get hot and his office door opened followed by his arms surrounding me. "What happened? Who did this to you"?

I shook my head. "D don't worry about this. J just take me away from here, w we need to leave". I said laying my head against him with my eyes closed. Gently he picked me up and held me. "Why on earth would we leave? This is our home, Mei".

I slowly opened my eyes to look at him with tears in my eyes. "Please Wu, please do this one thing for me. The last thing I want is for him to take you away from me, I can't lose you again". "He has you this scared? Was it Hua Cheng, He Xuan"? I shook my head. "Please, please let's just go . We can start over somewhere else. Give Xie Lian the throne, let him go". I whispered barely audible. He held me closer. "Ok".

Hua Cheng

I followed behind him closely as he led me through the underground tunnels. The only light sources we had were the ones provided by the torches on the walls and the guards standing watch on each corner we came across but the two of us were easily able to knock them unconscious long enough for us to complete our job.

"Do you sense him"? He Xuan asked. "No and that's what worries me the most. Gege has been gone for days, to think he was done here this entire time and I had no idea". I frantically searched each cell we passed but he was in none of them.

"You can't blame yourself for this Hua Cheng. Xie Lian knows you'll come for him. He's waiting for you to take him home". "...........................What if we're too late"? I whispered. "Don't, don't let your mind go there. We'll get him back. He'll be in your arms again soon".

I don't know what I'd do without you He Xuan

After what felt like forever we finally came across the last cell that was at the end of the hall. He Xuan broke the cell bars and moved aside letting me go in and it took everything I had not to march up to Jun Wu's palace and beat him to death myself.

My gege was chained to a wall naked with five cursed shackles on him and multiple bruises and dried-up blood decorating his skin. Slowly, carefully I made my way over to him, broke the chains and shackles, and carefully took him in my arms.

"Gege, I'm here? Can you hear me"? I whispered softly holding him close. He Xuan came behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Take him home Cheng, we'll finish up here. Go home and be with him". He said softly. I nodded.

It took me no time at all to get us back home to Paradise Manor. Once there I explained the situation to our sisters and took him straight to our bedroom and laid down next to him making sure he was comfortable as I waited for him to wake up.

I'm so sorry my love. Please forgive me

"S San long". He called out scared, eyes shut tight. "I'm right here baby, it's ok". I said softly. His eyes shot open before looking over at me anxiously. "I is it really you"? "Yes, it's me. You're not dreaming, you're at Paradise Manor with me and our sisters. You're home my love, you're safe". He teared up before clinging to me while crying.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry San Long". "Sshh, you have nothing to apologize for, you did nothing wrong". I said softly while stroking his hair. "I went to confront Jun Wu without telling you".

"You did what you thought you had to, I can't be mad at you for that. I can't blame you for wanting to protect your sister". "How did-"? "I know your heart. All that matters is that your back home where you belong". "What about Jun Wu and Mei Nianqing"? "Feng Xin took care of them both".

"Feng Xin's alive"? "He's the new ghost king, he found out Jun Wu had been mistreating Mu Qing and went to confront him, he and He Xuan are the only reasons I was able to find you and bring you back home". "Is Mu Qing ok"? "He is, he's home with Feng Xin and their son". "Thank goodness".

Mu Qing

I said nothing as I heard the door open and his footsteps make their way over to the bed before feeling the bed shift and his arms wrapped around me. "How are you feeling my love"? He asked placing his hand over my head. "A little better". I mumbled. "That's good, your fever's gone down".

"Is it over with"? "Yes, both Jun Wu and Mei are gone, they will never be able to hurt anyone again if they do I'll gladly go after them myself".

"What about His Highness, I overheard Cuo"? "He's back with Hua Cheng and will probably become the next emperor but what I want to know from you is will you marry me once you're feeling better"? I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful round ring with light blue crystals going around it. "Yes, yes I'll marry you, Xin". He placed the ring on my finger and I turned around in his arms hugging him tight.
