He Xuan

My head was throbbing as I sat on my throne listening to the ridiculous argument that was going on between two of my ghost civilians. They had gotten into a fight about a previous hunt and unfortunately, it was my job to put an end to it.

"He's lying to you my lord, I saw the boat first not him"! "No, she is! The bitch wasn't even around when that ship snack". "Yes I was! You were too busy flirting to notice, you didn't even know the ship had shank until it hit the ocean floor"! "I noticed the second I felt a dip in the water's surface"!

"Will you both shut the hell up"! They turned to me and bowed. "My lord". "For starters the people on that ship were innocent. I told you the only people you are allowed to go after are criminals or terrible human beings, the innocent are to be left alone. Now get out of my sight".

"Our apologies sir". They said in unison before running out of the door. I groaned more as his footsteps echoed against the floor and made his way over to me. "I hope that reaction isn't for me"? "Of course, not wind blossom".

I looked up at him and smiled as my head rested in my palm. "I can sense you're stressed so I brought you something". He walked over and handed me the bento box he was carrying. "Thank you my love but I'm not that hungry right now". He looked at me concerned.

"You're always hungry, you eat twenty-four seven". He placed his hand over my forehead. "I'm not going to be the same for a while, a new ghost king is about to be born". "Why didn't you tell me that sooner"? He kneeled next to me and looked up.

"How can I help". I smiled. "Just having you near is enough for me". "Still". He stood back up and took me by the hand, walked me out of the throne room and upstairs to our bedroom where he forced me to lie down.

"Qingxuan". "I'm not leaving your side, you're not going to go through this alone. I'm right here". "Wind Blossom". "I love you He Xuan".

My entire body felt as if it was on fire as I tried to concentrate on my calligraphy. Gege was currently out in the village and had Ryuoe with him. A part of me was glad for that, I didn't want him to see me like this but I knew he would be home any minute.

Slowly I picked myself up out of the chair I was in and tried my best to force my way over to the bed so I could lie down for a bit. The bed wasn't far from the desk but with each step I took made it seem as though my legs became heavier and heavier, thankfully he was here to help me.

"Easy master, I've got you". He spoke softly as he slowly helped me over to bed and helped me lie down. "Thank you, E Ming". Sweat was starting to form as I panted slightly. "Of course"?

"San Long"? I could hear the worry in his voice as he came into the room and saw me. "Ge ge". "What's wrong"? He rushed to my side feeling my forehead. "How do I help you"?

"Y you can't, not with this". I wheezed. "San Long"? Tears filled his eyes as I slowly lifted my hand to cup his cheek. "A new ghost king is about to be born, mount tonglu is opening".

"There must be something I can do". "Lay with me". Immediately he laid next to me and cradled me in his arms as I rested my head against him. "This reminds me of when you were a child". He smiled softly. "Gege always did take good care of me". He kissed the top of my head.
