Turquoise is a perfect gem.
She came out of her kindergarten perfectly, follows her orders without question of authority, and it very loyal to her diamond. In all honesty, she is really no different from any of the other turquoise gems. She, like many other gems in home world, lack individuality. Perhaps in the future she will develop more of a personality.

Turquoise gems are beautiful and decorative stones. They are used for making strong shields, as they are associated with personal protection against negative forces. It, like an emerald, symbolizes the flooding of the ocean onto the earths surface.

Based on this information, Turquoise gems, I would believe are similar to lapis lazuli's. They terraform the planets surface using their water control powers to prepare it for colonizing more of the gem species. Because it is said that they make good shields, I would say that they are sturdy and tough gems that can take quite a beating before they poof or shatter.
