Poison Opal & Red Lapis Lazuli

Wings of lapis inspired by online fan art

Red Phoenix Lapis Lazuli

Since Lapis already exists in Steven Universe, I would imagine that red Lapis would look a bit like her.

Goes by the name: Red, Red Lapis, Lazuli or Flame
Gem placement: Stomach
Gem shape: tear drop like
Belongs to: no diamond
Weapon: spear
Wings made of fire.

Red Lapis is her own gem. She does things her own way. She did not side with the home world gems under the Diamond Authority, but she does not side with the rebel gems. In her opinion, both side have their own dark side and cannot be trusted. On one side, the diamonds have a twisted way of seeing things and are like evil tyrants and dictators.  On the other hand, the Crystal gems cause things to become hectic and chaotic. Things seam to go up in a frenzy when they are near. The crystal gems are also very secretive and tend to bend the truth, just like the diamonds. Neither side can be trusted, so Lapis is on her own side.

Currently she is on an unknown planet, just outside of the Milky Way. The planet has vegetation, lower life forms that have yet to be identified by both humans and partially corrupted gems who were there before she was. Since most of the native animals are unnamed, she named them herself. For example, the Lilly Womp, because it lives on a flower that looks like a giant Lilly and make a deep "WOMP" sound whenever it speaks. The Lilly Womp has three eyes and looks like a combination of a toad and a dragonfly.

She lives in a cave, she tried living in a treehouse, but she accidentally burnt it down with her fire powers.
She has pyrokinesis.

Poison Opal

Goes by the name: Opal
Gem placement: chest
Belongs to: Pink
Weapon: shield

Opals are reflective, they symbolize the fact that everything you do comes back to you, like karma. They pick up on your emotions and return them back to you.
It is rumoured that opals are toxic and bad luck if given to someone else as an engagement ring, especially poison Opal. Although, Romans view opals as good luck.
Pink opals are a sign, of love, peace, and loyalty. Others believe that opals are a symbol of confidence and faithfulness.
Poison opals on home world can have a bad name. Perhaps because their name is literally poison.

Some gems believe that Poison Opals are not to be trusted, while others view them as helpful and kind.

Poison opals are more dull than the other opals, but are very beautiful gems, other gems say they are alluring so that they can lead you into their trap. Poison Opal has problems shaking off bad rumours and tries to prove to all that she, along with other poison opals, are good gems.
Poison Opals have a job of warning others of danger, they are viewed as precious, but they are also a bit weaker than other gems.
Poison Opal is very kind and friendly, she is also reliable a good at spotting danger and enemies who are about to attack.

How they met:

Fire Lapis was wandering through the jungle to find more supplies for her living space when she tripped and fell off the edge of a small cliff. She used her wings to float softly to the ground. There she found something shiny on the ground. She picked it up and flew it back to her cave. The gem had a small crack, she didn't know if it was a living gem, or just a regular fancy rock you found on these planets. She grabbed a small bottle, filled with the saliva and tears of a healing gem. She poured it on the gem, as it healed it glowed and an Opal appeared. The Opal had gotten separated from the others who were sent on a mission. She let the gem stay and they soon became friends.
She introduced herself as poison Opal. Her tribe never ended up coming back for her unfortunately, she doesn't know if they left her or they were baldly damaged in the crash.

After spending nearly two hundred years together, they began a romantic relationship.
From now on it was just her, Red Lapis, and the corrupted gems who lived on the small jungle planet.
