She was close to red diamond before red diamond's disappearance.
She was on a quest to find Red Diamond, but during the quest, a corrupted gem animal spread its corruption to citrine's right arm. Now after the corrupt, barely any gem would want to be friends with her, heck no gem would even go near citrine because their afraid the corruption will spread to them. But the only friends she has are Phoenix red lapis lazuli and poison opal the rest either don't know her or afraid of her. Red lapis, Opal and citrine are at least having a very fun time even if they don't know what planet they're on.

According to my research, Citrine gems are associated with wealth because merchants make a lot of money with them. It symbolizes success, prosperity, and wealth. They assist with making fast money and are helpful with financial speculation.
They help in a workplace to create productivity. They help to spark imagination and creativity, so they help with artists.
It helps to strengthen you on the inside she help to strengthen relationships.
They are also known to attract love and happiness and protect you from those who have broken your heart.
It is send when given to a newborn it can give them the give of intelligence, wealth, curiosity and more.
However, it can spark aggressiveness in some, it is not recommended to be given to those who have a strong or fiery attitude, or those who like to gossip or ruin something/someone else's name. 

Based on this information, I would guess that these gems would be regular worker gems. They are productive and help to build businesses and are good at strengthening other gems relationships with each other. These gems are good with teamwork and have a great amount of endurance.
Citrine's are lower class gems that work for higher class gems.
They are quick tempered beings and do not like being messed with. They are also very aggressive if forced to go into combat with others.

Apparently citrines are a type of quartz, so they may also be soldiers.
Oh well! I'm not deleting all of that!

Just say that they are both workers and soldiers.
I guess that would also make this citrine smaller than most citrines.
