An avian-like Diamond-taur who once fought Yellow Diamond. She is the 'Highness' of a race of 'Avian' Gems that once were a thriving colony among the cosmos. But Yellow, jealous of Dark Purple's success, eventually destroyed most of the colonies and their armies. From this destruction, the Diamond was left imprisoned on her own planet for many years before she finally was freed. But there was a cost. Her last planet was blown to bits, and now she resides on a planet far away from Homeworlds grasp. She is part of the Grand Diamond Authority.

Dark Purple can control deadly plants, and her massive tail plumage can spread and show bizarre confusing patterns to control enemies or misguide them. She is the love of Dark Green. Bind in one eye, and speaks rather slowly. Her mural was once found on an abandoned Avian military barracks.
