"Uncoveintal time travel part 4"

Hannah was still in shock as she entered the kitchen, still holding the baby-- her and Haul's baby, Cordelia. 'This is so werid' she thought, still unable to wrap her head around what was happening, which was kinda funny when you considered everything else that had happened to her in her 21 years so far.

Time loops, massacres, kidnappings,
alien invasions & abductions, and pirates. Frame jobs and murder mysteries. Interdimensional travel and Paradoxes. Knights, Ghosts, stowaway princes on a mischief filled cruise ships, haunted houses, and space travel. Espionage, shocking family revelations and secrets, and out living countless friends and enemies. Surviving through several near death experiences, life endangering quests, and unwanted prophecies that were tied to her & her friends. Not to mention friends turning into mindless monsters & her being dragged into countless messes involving crime, aliens, supers, and the supernatural. All of this was the norm for her yet the idea of getting a happy, stable future with her pack was off putting to her... how silly was that?

She had apparently gotten everything she had ever wanted & was finding it werid. What the hell was wrong with her? Mindlessly, she sat on the counter & glanced out the window-- silently observing the peaceful chaos that was unfolding. Trying to memorize it all so that it wouldn't be too obvious that she didn't belong here-- that something was wrong with her.

Everyone looked so different but not so much that she couldn't tell who they were. Remi had gotten taller, for instance, and had dyed her hair green again. She looked to be happily chatting with Luna/Rogue-- who had half her head shaved-- and Peachy, who had slightly longer hair. There was also a girl who Hannah didn't recognize, standing next to Peachy and laughing-- arm wrapped around her. Which meant that Peachy and Tammy must have broken up at some point, which would explain the brunette's absence. And judging by the fact that Remi & Luna weren't cuddling like they usually did, they weren't the only ones who had broken up.

Howiee was taller & grilling while Anna sharpened the kitchen knives in a lawn chair nearby, her teeth noticeably sharper. Aaron's hair was longer, tousled, and highlighted while Gunner's was shorter and darker-- both were lounging by the pool while Haul ran about, setting the tables. Herlando was older (which was a surprise) and setting up the chairs with Liberty, who was no longer covering her face with her hair & showing off her singular eye proudly.

Noah, who no longer looked like the 17 year old ghost she knew him as, looked older with longer hair and tattoos, and was manning the radios while Fiona used her powers to bat the sun rays away from all the children, smiling gleefully as they did so. Moxie, Hope, Rian, and Misty were between the backyard gate and the pool, apparently on guard duty-- keeping the kids from leaving or drowning, clearly. It was all chaotic & beautiful, especially with everything else that was going on at the moment.

The older kids -- the ones who were just little kids back in her time-- were here as well. But they were in their own little world at the moment, sitting under a lemon tree in the shade. Drinking lemonade and playing some sort of card game together, looking as if they were siblings (which warmed her heart greatly). Skelebar still had grey skin and headlight white eyes but her hair was neater and she had traded her usual white dresses for black, and she had finally trimmed her long as fuck nails down. All of these factors made her look absolutely stunning but she wasn't the only one who had changed.

Levine was taller-- which was no surprise considering he was a half giant-- but his hair was shorter (which was a surprise) and he was smoking -- which nearly gave Hannah a heart attack when she saw it. And he was wearing a little sailor hat that looked like it was made of some kind of paper. She couldn't really tell from where she was sitting but it was noticeable. He was leaning against the fence and Skelebar was leaning against the tree, still adversed to sunlight it seemed. A little boy Hannah also didn't recognize laid on his front next to him and strangely, all she could make out of the lad was a gray shirt and brown hair.

Next to the mysterious boy sat the two kids from before-- Jolene and Craven, if she remembered correctly. Craven was laying on his back, playing with a flower as his cards rested on his chest, clearly waiting for it to be his turn. Jolene was smoking and looking down at her cards intensely, occasionally swatting at an older, greaser looking Ike who was laughing like a manic despite having a rather noticeable black eye and was saying something that Hannah couldn't quite hear. They all looked so happy and carefree, and lacked the fear that Hannah was still trying to cure them of. All of it sent a pang of pride and grief to her heart, and made her wonder how her older self and their friends had handled it.

How did her future self handle watching these kids she found and raised grow up? How did she handle watching Skelebar grow into this beautiful young woman? How did she handle watching Ike turning into this greaser wannabe who couldn't stay out of trouble and joked around all the time? How did she handle watching Levine grow into this hulking young man who had finally come out of his shell? How on Earth was she expected to do that?

Hannah had to fight back a laugh (as well as tears) at the turn of events. She had been in this time for less than 5 hours and was only 21 but suddenly felt so much older and she hadn't even fully raised them yet. How old her future self must feel having actually raised them all this time... How old her friends must feel.. yet here she was, nearly hysterical from only havinga moment's glance at them. God, she was such a sap... Why does anyone put up her? Hannah shook those thoughts off and rearranged Cordelia in her arms, trying to keep herself together before looking around at everything else in the backyard.

It was a very beautiful and mismatched backyard with a large pool, a grafetti-ed fence, dozens of flowers, and a few statues. There was also a tree house and a pretty cool playset where all the kids--minus Cordelia-- were playing in their own little groups like in recess. Hannah leaned closer to the window in an attempt to make out where her kids were and who they were playing with, which was very hard considering the fact there were 23 kids (minus Cordelia) and 10 pets in total.

Eventually, she did spot them all and couldn't help but smile when she did. Credence was hanging around a girl with reddish brown hair, a boy with dark brown that had a blue streak in it, and a boy with red hair onto of the play set-- looking through the telescope and gesturing to his friends who were presumably trying to spot whatever he had. Nearby, Prometheus was sitting on the railing and reading by himself-- which also almost gave her a heart attack until she realized he was wearing a safety harness of some kind. Which also nearly caused another heart attack when she realized that this most definitely wasn't the first time he had done this type of thing.

Artemis was painting the fence with a bespectacled black haired boy, three black haired girls, and Willow. Seeing as no one else seemed bothered with this, Hannah decided to ignore it and continue on with watching everything. There really wasn't much going on, considering that Killian and Terrance, along with the 11 remaining children, were just running after butterflies with butterfly nets in hand. Which Hannah found odd because, if they weren't slimily cute like frogs, fast like lizards, or glowing like fire flies, than what was the point in catching them? She didn't voice her thoughts out loud (mainly because she had no one to do it to at the moment) because the kids looked so happy and they weren't bothering anyone. There would really be no point in questioning them-- especially since she didn't know if this was something they usually did. Not knowing this stuff was really starting to piss her off, so she decided to focus on other things... like where that putrid smell was coming from..

The answer suddenly hit her. "Uh, Hey Alexa?" The little speaker-like device light up, signaling that it had heard her before it spoke up. "Yes?" With a burning face, Hannah asked the question she knew that nobody would let her live down if she dared ask them it. "How do you change a diaper?"
