"unconventional time travel part 1 "
Hannah Grace Elizabeth Holmes, who was an avid magic user at the ripe young age of 21, was playing a dangerous game of EXTREME hide 'n seek with a few of her friends in the woods. The friends she was playing with were Howiee McBride (a 22 year old werewolf), Lunareanaes Mortis
Anguis de Alteriis (a demon who took on the appearance of a 18 year old), Gunner Kane (21 year old nephilim), the 22 year old demon twins (Anna and Aaron), Herlando West (21 year old vampire), Rian Crockett (former zombie that's now 23), Moxie Flint (22 year old Wendigo), and Noah Borden (a former demigod-ghost that's now 17).
Now you might be wondering what EXTREME hide 'n seek is and how a game of it can be dangerous. Or you might just be wondering what self respecting, sane young adults would be playing a child's game. If you are thinking that last thought, mind your own business and don't judge them-- games are fun to play no matter your age. Second, if the list of players didn't clue you in on the fact that these aren't your average kids then the game explanation definitely will. You see, their version of EXTREME hide 'n seek wasn't your average game of hide 'n seek.
In their version of hide 'n seek, you'd either go out to an abandoned building or forest. Then you'd split up into two teams-- the seekers and the hiders. Then while the seekers were counting, the hiders would all split up and run in different directions-- never hiding together. And if you got spotted, you'd take off running and the chase would begin. You'd run as fast as you could, trying desperately not to get caught by the seeker and trying to get to the safe location before you got tackled and became a seeker yourself. The chase was exhilarating and the game was absolutely terrifying in a fun way- it felt as if you were in a horror movie, being chased by a killer. Like you prey being hunted by a predator. And all of the participants absolutely adored this game-- all for various reasons.
Hannah loved it because it made her feel alive. Loved it because of the way it made her heart race and because of how focused it made her. But most of all, Hannah loved it because she never felt bored while playing it-- something that was a rarity with most games. You see, the burnette had a sort attention span and was very energetic, which made it nearly impossible to find something that would hold her attention for more than seven minutes-- so, when she did find something that held her attention, she'd love it for a very long time.
Luna and her cambion cousins (Anna & Aaron) loved the game because of how it made them feel. They loved it because of how dangerous it made them feel-- loved seeing the slight fear that would flash in the hider's eyes when they caught them. Loved hearing their "victims" heart race as they gained on them. Loved the brief, terrified screams that would escape from their friends' throats as they caught them one by one as they tried and failed to escape them. All three of them found the game rather intoxicating, even without the murder-- though Aaron preferred it that way.
Howiee loved the game because of how it kick started his primal instincts. Loved being able to let his inner wolf out without the fear of losing control and being called a monster. Loved the sensation of letting loose and tracking his prey -- the hiders-- when he was on the seekers' team. Loved how the game prepared him for the (unlikely) scenario of him getting chased by hunters when he was a hider. Loved the freedom he felt while he was playing. It felt surreal.
Herlando loved the game for similar reasons. He liked how the game made him feel free as a bird and how he could run as fast as he wanted without fearing the consequences. Loved being able to use his powers out in the open like this. Loved how his friends would scream and curse when they couldn't catch him. Loved how he was able to use his primal Instincts to avoid being captured. He found the game quite liberating and never complained when his friends suggested that they play it.
Noah loved the game because he knew his friends wouldn't be able to catch him unless he wanted them to and he found it quite amusing to watch them try. He also found it amusing to see them all blush and curse at him whenever he used his powers against them. It wasn't his fault that they kept forgetting that he was the son of Persephone and that he had a whole list of demigod powers at his disposal. He loved to trip his friends by growing flowers around their ankles and He loved to turn them into flowers for varying periods of time. Loved creating small dimensionial pockets around the hiders when he captured them so they couldn't escape. Loved watching them fight against whatever animal he asked to capture them. Loved making them think they were gonna succeed in catching them before Shadow traveling away. He found the game very amusing and had declared it as his favorite game the last time he visited camp half-blood and the underworld-- much to the confusion of his stepfather, step siblings, mother, and grandmother.
Gunner simply loved the game because of how happy it made his boyfriend, Aaron, and because he was allowed to use his powers while he played. Rian loved the game because of happy it made his friends and because it made them laugh. And Moxie loved it because of how it kept his wendigo urges at bay. All of them could play this game all day, everyday without getting bored of it. And they all knew it.
Hannah was currently running through the trees , jumping from tree branch to tree branch trying her best to break her previous record. You see everytime she and her friends played this game, Hannah did her best to last longer than she did the previous game and was determined to do so despite knowing how low her chances of lasting very long in this game against a bunch of predators were. Last time she lasted an hour and her personal goal for this round was to last at least thirty minutes longer than she had the last time. However, it seemed that fate had other plans because as soon as her feet landed on the next branch, it snapped in half-- sending the brunette plummeting to the ground and knocking her out.
When Hannah awoke, she was laying on something soft-- the softest and most comfortable thing she had ever laid on-- and something was covering her. This led her to the conclusion that someone must've placed her in her bed after she knocked herself out. But if that was the case, then why did the bed feel so damn comfortable? Hannah decided not to question it and drifted back off to sleep, only to be awoke by someone small jumping on her bed. Hannah groaned and covered her head with her pillow, murmuring "five more minutes, Ike" She still didn't understand why Luna's younger cousin always came running to her when he wanted something early in the morning. Then again, seeing as Death had adopted her, Ike was technically her cousin too. But that still didn't explain why the three year old always had to wake her up whenever he wanted something this early in the morning. Hannah then heard a very familiar laugh coming from beside her and felt the blankets shift. "Nightmare Wolf, that's not Ike" Hannah jumped in surprise-- and rolled right off the bed, onto the hardwood floor. Wait... hardwood floor? What the fuck happened to her carpet?! Hannah patted the floor before looking up to find herself in an unfamiliar room (that looked a little something like this):
She then looked back up at the bed to find an older looking , shirtless version of her crush of sixteen years, Haul Stark, sitting up in the bed that she had just been in. At the bottom of the bed sat a little boy around three years old that she had never seen before who looked alot like Haul. He had Haul's light blonde hair , though it was longer than Haul's was, and his emerald green eyes and he even had his freckles! The little angel was wearing adorable space-themed footie pajamas and was hugging a stuffed alien close to his chest;
Hannah's mind was racing. 'What the hell is going On?! Where am I?! Why does Haul look older?! Why does that little boy look like Haul?! Why am I in someone's bed with Haul?! Who's fucking house are we even in?! Haul lives in an apartment, not this place!' Hannah wondered as her heart pounded in her chest. "Mommy, did you get a boo boo?" The little blonde asked, frowning slightly as he tilted his head to the side and stared at her. 'Mommy? Mommy?! What the fucking hell?! How hard had she hit her head?!'
Before Hannah could say anything, a little boy around five with short, brown hair and Haul's eyes came running through the open bedroom door in pirate pjs clutching a pirate teddy in his right hand. Hannah was right handed. "Terry, I told ya notta wake 'em up, again!" The mini blonde-- Terry apparently-- crossed his arms and scowled adorably at the mini brunette. "Dwn't call me Terry! 'S not my 'ame!" 'Oh my God , that's adora-- FOCUS HANNAH!' Hannah thought, scolding herself. Haul chuckled before saying "hey guys, why don't you go wait in the kitchen while mommy and I get ready ?" The mini blonde and not Terry turned to look at Haul, before nodding at him and saying "kay daddy!" In unison before scrambling out of the bedroom, leaving behind a very confused Hannah and an amused, older looking Haul. What the actual fuck.
"Are you alright, Nightmare Wolf?" Haul asked, smiling down sweetly at her, which reminded Hannah that he was in fact very shirtless. And that she had been in bed with him. And damn, when did Haul get a six pack?! When she didn't respond, Haul smirked at her-- when the hell did Haul start smirking? He should do it more often, cause damn he looks sexier when he does-- wait, where the hell did that thought come from?! - and asked "like what you see?" Haul's question caused her to turn redder than Rudolph's nose when it glows. "Shut up" She said, pushing herself off the floor. Haul's smirk only widened at the response "nope, don't think I will. Now get dressed, we can't keep the kids waiting-- they're really excited about today" Haul said, pushing himself up off the bed. "Uhh... what are we doing today?"Hannah asked, figuring that she really shouldn't mention that she had no clue what was going on and silently promising herself that she'd figure it out on her own.
Haul raised an eyebrow at her, before shaking his head and smiling at her slightly "Only you could forget about something that happens on the same day every year that has the kids bouncing off the walls the whole month" Hannah tilted her head to the side, still very confused, and asked "Are we going to see Santa?" Hey, don't judge-- it could very well be Christmas. Haul raised his eyebrows at her in disbelief "It's July, Hannah. We're going to Lunes and Dori's annual fourth of July barbecue " Annual? Since when did they have an annual barbecue? Hannah voiced her thoughts, causing Haul to give her a concerned look. "They've been having them ever since you turned twenty-one. Are you feeling okay?" Hannah quickly nodded "I'm just a little tried "
Haul stared at her weirdly for a few seconds before slowly nodding "if you say so. If you don't feel better later, let me know, okay?" The brunette nodded at him, still internally freaking out.
