"You.... You traitor," Melanie screamed at the man, "How could you!?"

I looked back at the man who had a wide smile on his face, "But it is only natural that it happened like this."

"You killed everyone, everyone in your faction because you wanted to have someone who would never be yours," Melanie continued nonetheless, "She never loved you and she never will. She's gone and you're on your own."

"Shut up," he shouted and flicked his wrist. She flew and hit her head on the wall and fell to the ground groaning.

"Melanie!" Nico and I shouted in unison. "Please don't hurt her I beg you," I said crying, "She doesn't deserve this."

"Take them away!" Trask shouted.

"You are a coward," Melanie whispered, "You don't deserve to be an Immortal."

"You know very well I didn't choose this. I was chosen and now they have to pay the price," he said then walked out of the room.

Lele stepped forward and grabbed me gesturing to some men to take the others, "Area would very much like an audience with you."

We were thrown into a chamber that reminded me to much of impending doom, it reminded me of Nyx.

"Well it's nice to see you again Lel. We were rudely interrupted the last time," Nyx's voice said. Her figure became clearer. That dark featureless yet completely beautiful face said.

"And to think I loved dark nights," I spat, "What do you even want to accomplish?"

"Oh child. I want to rid the world of impurities and fill it with my children," she said, "Ah I see your friends have joined you."

The look on Nico's face was of absolute murder, "Stay away from us. I heard you were fooled by Annabeth and Percy. You actually believed they were tourists."

Her figure had settled and something that resembled a face had appeared and it hardened, "Ofcourse. How could I forget Perseus and Annabeth. I'll personally see to their demise."

"You can stop this nonsense," I shouted, "You know you can never win."

"But here you are. In my control," she said with a laugh, "You are in no place to stand against me."

"So how many crystals do you have?" Melanie asked.

"None. Trask is about to open the portal to another land. He and Lele will retrieve the one there," Nyx answered, "And you are in no position to stop me."

"You'll see we will stop you," Melanie said firmly. Her eyes glowed bright red and the ropes binding her were burning off.

"What no. Trask was supposed to- ugh nevermind," Nyx said coiling smoke around Melanie but her eyes continued to glow. The darkness made them shine brighter.

"Get down! Don't open your eyes!" Nico shouted from the ground.

I obliged and all I could feel was the searing heat on my back.
